    I come across these negative comments here and there. It seems for around every 100 positive comments there is always that 1 negative comment. For everything I've learned and experienced and heard the last many years I have to ask those with negative experiences, what is different? It's the same oil from one quart to another, from one drum to the next. Why do you have a problem while these all these other people rave about their superior experience? It's not magic, it's science (chemistry and engineering). Are you giving the science the required time to work the way it's designed? What's different about your 6.0, JD tractor or Dodge Cummins that's different than the other 100 guys who had a great experience?

      western star truck 7.3 is sooo under powered in todays world. I have a 7.3 and im tired of my buddies pulling away from me when we pull our campers across country. The 6.0s had there issues but my buddy got his deleted and studded and that thing runs away from me

      for longevity 7.3 kill any duramax trust me......many 7.3 pass one million miles......duramax ......if you lucky 300000 miles its a fact

      @@caterpillar6nz310 i have my 7.3's for the longevity, not truck killing power. I'd rather get somewhere slow than break down trying to get there fast.

    Amsoil for life reason is not only is it the best oil they have everything you need to service a vehicle it's a one stop shop

      You know Redline has more anti-wear additives and detergents in their oil. It outspecs Amsoil by a bit. This is on virgin samples of both. Would like to see used oil reports on both.
      Check out Mack ford edge on you tube.

    I would like to know that also, I am a huge proponent for royal purple

    So how would the shafer oil compare to royal purple ?

    • @JisINSANE3
      @JisINSANE3 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Much better and cheaper! Just extremely hard to find. Its all I use in my high performance car. My 3000gt is notorious for lifter tick, This oil silenced it.

      I have to agree! This stuff is awesome and makes my motor real quiet for a completely built motor.

    Not all NAPA stores carry Schaeffer's Oil. You can buy it from wholesale and FREE Shipping. Check out my web-site www.ibourl.net/SchaeffersOilByGreg

    The only oil that I will run in my '01 Powerstroke is Schaeffers.

    Just going to put this out there, I switched from conventional 15-40 rotella to 15-40 sheiffers and experienced stiction immediately after. Might not want to risk switching from your normal oil.

    I'm a farmer, used Farm Oil brand, then farmer salesman wanted me to use this new oil, Shaeffers Oil, we had nothing but engine trouble with it. I finally i said to him, I'm buy this expensive moly oil & nothing but trouble, So i said to him, i had to quit. We went with JD oil then, good stuff.

    • @bryanmartinez6600
      @bryanmartinez6600 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      15w40 and a Royal Purple filter
      Maybe 5w40 in winter if it gets really cold consistently

      Yea 8 transmissions later
      And a shitty ram interior and front end
      Cummins put a great engine in a scrappy truck

      Luigi Luigini transmissions are cheaper than engines/head gaskets

    • @luigiluigini9500
      @luigiluigini9500 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      6.4 is no doubt worst powerstroke engine as far as catastrophic failure.
      My first 6.0 went 250 k before I did arp studs and headgaskets myself for about 700 bucks.
      Just bought an 07 6.0 dually with 70,000 miles and guess what? I plan on going at least another hundred fifty thousand before doing head gaskets. If you delete the EGR cooler and keep a clean oil cooler in there they go a very long time with little problems.
      My best friend has a 2nd generation Ram that's on its third Cummins motor and I don't even know how many transmissions.
      No doubt Dodge trucks weakness are the Transmissions I don't think I know somebody that's had them last more than 70,000 miles.
      6.4s blow motors left and right ill give you that.
      Bottom line is if you take care of your truck and no the little ins and outs on what to take care of before they fail, your diesel will treat you right. And whether it's Powerstroke Duramax or Cummins they all have their issues.
