My carpentry instructor would show us bad technique by using his none-dominant hand. Not tryna get smart with ya but that's a little tip he taught me that I appreciated a lot.
@@BelkoCANADA Thanks for sharing this i appreciate it. I will have to remember this next time I show something like this. (Assuming i can control the saw to use it) Thanks again!
As one will always try to correct a wayward cut to the line would it be helpful to start your cut with open eyes then close them to complete it. This would exacerbate any deficiency in technique with a well-set saw while a poorly set saw would give a more consistent deviation.
@@frankhill9527 Thanks for the question. It's called a Somax no. 250 Saw Set, they're made in Japan. I got this one on eBay for about $25 I don't think these are available new any more.
@@carlogle6207 Most people who have trained themselves to saw straight to a line will say the same, its hard to untrain a habit once learnt. However there is never a situation when even someone who has been hand sawing for years won't make mistakes but to throw it out like someone first starting isn't easy.
Thanks for the info and lesson.
@@marcbarash6045 Thanks for watching

@@eddienew2044 Possibly, its not something ive thought of or tried but would be interesting to explore.
What brand of Saw set did you use for changing the set? Is it a AU brand?

When you're so good, you can't purposely mess up a cut without practice, lol.

I looked around and found a saw set made by Spear & Jackson. I ordered off Amazon for less than 35 US Dollars. I will let you know if it works.
@@frankhill9527 Excellent, that would be fantastic.
