    Three months ago I purchased a brand new 2023 Charger GT PLUS in that awesome color "Sinamon Stick". RWD, 300 hp and 264 ft pounds of torque. Best daily driver I ever had. Incredibly SMOOTH engine, great 8 speed trans and looks that have me turning around to look at it when parked in a parking lot as I'm walking into the store. Listed for $43,025 Got over $5K off with Dodge and dealer insentives. No regrets!

    👍 Had an '23 SXT as a rental for a vacation trip from Chicagoland to Ashville NC last July. Loved it. Big, roomy, the standard cloth seats are durable and very comfy, great ride and performance. And averaged 33 mpg driving 75-80 mph. Some perspective - I had a Thunderbird SuperCoupe back in the 90's. The V6 Charger is bigger, more comfortable, about 600 lbs heavier and yet it's still 1 full sec. quicker 0-60 and in the 1/4 than the old hot ticket SC.
    When I got home I snatched up a '23 Charger R/T from my local dealer. Would have been more than happy with the V6, only sprung for the higher trim because I wanted V8 Hemi before they went extinct.

    My first car was a silver grey 2007 Charger (baby 2.7) that died on me in 2019. I had to get something that was more reliable, but sadly i knew my options for a 21-22 year old kid with little to no credit to his name and barely enough money to afford lunch. My old man came in clutch and told me this will be the one and only time he will help me. So, I went searching. At the dealer my old charger was at, there was a black 2015 se charger on the lot for around 17k with 55k miles. While waiting for the dealer to defrost the car, my dad and I were waiting in the showroom and I kept staring at an indigo blue 2019 sxt plus Charger, RWD. I got to talking with my dad about it. "It's 10k more, they're practically giving it away. Wouldn't brand new be much better than used?" So, as the porters were pulling the black charger around to be test driven, we switched our choice to the 2019. Dad helped me get it, and I've been making all the payments, maintenance work, etc. Passed 60k about a month ago after having her since brand new.
    Moral of the story, while my car may not be special to everyone else. However, she is mine, and that makes her special to me. I will keep it for as long as I'm able to turn a wrench.

    To me, the Charger is how an Ameticam car should evolve. I recently bought a 2018 GT. No , it is not new, but I get the idea.

    I am in the market, and my focus is always in the midsize segment. Would you consider this car over an Accord or Camry?

    • @cw4623
      @cw4623 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Absolutely, yes. Depending on price. No SXT Charger should cost more than $28k. The Charger platform is OLD and a cash cow for Stellantis. That said, the Charger is WAY more comfortable, powerful, ergonomic, practical, and solidly built than Accord or Camry. Camry has a comfy suspension, but AWFUL steering and AWFUL interior. Accord is extremely basic, overpriced, but the best-built of the three (not immensely better than Charger, but Honda interiors are the highest quality/most solid on the market). Accord has heavy steering and stiff, uncomfortable suspension. Also, the gauge cluster is really hard to see. Charger all the way.

      @@cw4623 appreciate your detailed response. Those attributes you mentioned are the reason I added the Charger to my short list, with comfort being the primary reason.

  • @cw4623
    @cw4623 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It's a solid overall car, but the price is ROBBERY. No Charger should be more than $30k.
    It's an old platform. It's basic transport. Stellantis is milking these platforms to death and robbing customers blind.
