It's alright about the loss Cards. Besides the 2011 WS, this has been some of the best baseball memories I've ever had. Even if we lose that wildcard game, doesn't matter. No one even thought we'd SNIFF the postseason
and they are doing it all without Pujols!..lol...personally i think the Cardinals were too dependent on Pujols...whenever LaRussa gave him a night off, the team acted like they were lost...its amazing the influence Pujols had on MLB
The Cardinals are unbelievable. What a fun streak. This may be a once in a lifetime streak and I'm glad to have been their to witness this domincance. Let's go Redbirds!!
Welp.... here we are ... April 24th , 2024. Glad the Cardinals got the win. But we are 11 - 14 right now. Ugh ! SITLL TIME TO GET IT RIGHT ! Let's go Redbirds !
I just think what are the odds that I went to the Blues 11 game win streak game vs the maple leafs on feb 19th 2019 and the Cards 17 game win streak game vs the brewers 2 days ago. That was the first Cards game I went to in over 7 years. Absolutely crazy, will never forget both these streaks for the rest of my life.
As a Giants fan this is the only team I fear right now. Assuming the Giants win the division which is likely, the Dodgers are in big trouble facing the Cardinals in the Wildcard game
I fear pujols in the playoffs of we all being legit, last time he had a real shot in playoffs he hit three home runs in game 3 of the world series against Texas. And he obviously still has power.
What a fun time that was to be a Cardinals fan... My favorite moment was probably the 3-2-5-4-2-6-8 double play from this streak - I can't believe they didn't show it in this video. Nootbaar's rob at 2:07 was also an awesome moment and how can you not love the sound of the ball off Goldschmidt's bat at 5:24 and 5:57
Wow man I never expected the cardinals to be playing this well late in the season hearing the name Scott Rolen brings back the memories of him as a Reds player.
you never know what will happen in baseball. In 2011 i went to Busch and saw a 3 game set with the Reds during the 4th of july weekend, just before the all-star break. The Cardinals were about 11 games out of 1st place...world series was the last thing on anyone's mind at that point. After the all-star break, they started beating everybody and ended up winning the world series. Ever since then i try not to predict what they will do because i probably would be wrong. Now they have that same magic again. I just hope they can keep it.
Last year was the first year I really got into baseball. After that wildcard loss I was waiting for this year but now this lockout is really sad bc I miss baseball: ( and idk if Yadi and Wainwright are gonna come back in 2023 :(
Schildt was a great manager. Too bad the front office tried to screw him. The Birds could have gone a long way with him at the helm (as opposed to Matheny and Ollie).
Mabie with the cardinals new coach the cardinals batters will be more aggressive with the bats for onceold players can be lazy but young players should be aggressive at bat and swing at pitches in the middle
Pardon ignorance of this question from an Aussie fan..... What are the odds of ANY Team winning 17 in a row in MLB? Most Teams try to get to 50% win rate for the season (?), so 17 consecutively must be RARE! 🤔😃 M 🦘🏏😎

if pujols signed with the cards in 2012, i think he would have done better. think about it. 10 years with the angels and one time in playoffs
I completely agree with your post! Big cards fan over here.
@@flyboysteven9979 now they're doing it with pujols again. World series Champs 2022

Coming back to this video eases my pain about this team right now. I miss this run. Man
I hope we can go on a run this year

I love how the video gets louder as it progresses. Excitement ramping up in real time.
Dan McGlaughin (the cardinals announcer) also did the same thing
Anybody here in August 2024 just re watching this hoping for it happen again here now 😭
that is absolutely insane. go cardinals
Damn right -horror filmmakers from STL
That last clip is the second most Iconic in cards history behind the david freese walkoff in 2011 game 6 ws Hang in there Bader we miss ya!!
Hi
It was fun watching them on the run of '21. we didn't win wild card but gives me hopes for next year.
Maybe
If it happens this year
@@blakeballew5389 which it did xD and so far so good
Let go cardinals!
Let go world champion!!
We can do it!!
They can*

I was at the Cubs game that year with the Braves game playing on the big screen, they had to lose and we had to win, it was amazing
How do you feel about this year? 😂
And the Cards are doing it again in 2022. What a legacy.
An unprecedented winning streak.
man i miss this team so much
I came back to remember the good times 😢 wow what an awful season it is at the moment in 2023
Before the dark times... before the empire...
I hope we can have a streak like this this season
Absolutely crazy run, considering the standings in July. Reds fan here rooting for the Red Birds in October
Thanks from a Cards fan. Classy.
We need these Cardinals back
I was at the game against SD when O’Neil hit the go-ahead bomb in the 8th, it was the loudest I’ve ever heard Busch Stadium in person.
As a baseball fan, watching this unfold day after day was just absolutely incredible.
As a Cubs fan, it wasn't all great. 😒
I really hope theirs a season this year I love goin to games in STL especially the night games absolutely love it ❤️⚾️😩
and ya got it xD
Where’s Goldy’s game tying HR and the double play vs the Cubs?!
Mariners and cardinals are the 2 hottest teams in the mlb 💯
I want a cardinals mariners world series
Some how
That would be incredible.
Cards are going to be tough in a one game elimination against either Dodgers or Giants. Definitely a trap game.
Who else watching this because there is no baseball at the moment
Last year was the first year I really got into baseball. After that wildcard loss I was waiting for this year but now this lockout is really sad bc I miss baseball: ( and idk if Yadi and Wainwright are gonna come back in 2023 :(
This Cardinals team reminds me of the 2007 Colorado Rockies
God Bless the St.Louis Cardinals
I can't believe how well they "ripped off."
T O'N is jacked like a short, lil Franco Columbu
Schildt was a great manager. Too bad the front office tried to screw him. The Birds could have gone a long way with him at the helm (as opposed to Matheny and Ollie).
i was there for #17 and i was there when we lost the streak
Oof I went to the Padres series when they had the 2011 team at Busch
That loss doesn't *really* count IMO, lol. Rested all the main guys, and the others were probably still hung over anyway!
But it’s sad the streak is over 😞
After last season, how about we have a win streak this year and win the division
And after they clinched the playoff spot, Manager Mike Shildt-for-Brains sent out his second-stringers.
Hey! He’s fired now!!!! LFG
"are you kidding me"
Lol
I was there for 17
Mad Max is waiting in that WC matchup 😨😨😨.

What happened Cardinals :(
Fr. Now instead they might get 17 lose streak

No Reyes is typing… he plays against us
That was great the Cardinals got that winning streak. Too bad their season’s over.
BRING ALBERT BACK HOME TO RETIRE A CARDINAL IN 2022!!!!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooot became an awesome meme
All started after Castellanos hit a drive to left field to make it a 4-0 ballgame.

Only 2 teams since 2000 have matched a 17 or better win streak, Cleveland in 2017 and Oakland in 2002
Exceedingly rare lol
What was even more rare was they won the last 11 consecutive road games. Hadn't been done since the 1800s.
