2 Card Setup is really good for people who want to just flash a copy of Stock OS to their new SD. AKA Method 2 if you watched my flashing tutorial.

Thank you. I just got mine today and been doing qll of the preliminary garbage for it. Thankfully you and a few other channels got me a good start before my shipment arrived. The jank is apparent with the anbernic stuff but I'm willing to forego a return simply due to the decent price point.
Peace man
Absolutely legendary. I have been waiting for someone to make a video or at least a written guide for this. Thank you.
2 card setup or bootlogo?
Sorry to bother you
My bootlogo does not work as its asking for bmp.gz
I didn't realize it would populate all the different folders. Great stuff!
Perfect video! I had no idea and I'm not a tech person but I could follow this one easily. THANK YOU!!
I highly appreciate the how to boot logo creation Javi.
Thank you. 😊👊
Thank you! This was surprisingly hard to find
Just got my RG35xx plus and this was very useful, thank you. Where is the shutdown screen located? I would like to change that too. Thanks!
First off, all your tutorials are super helpful! But I’m such a noob and have a question! What are BIOS files? And can you explain it in a way that’s understandable to someone who is a beginner? Do I have to add a bios folder to 2nd sd card? If so, why? What is that?
Is it possible to change the goodbye splash screen? Thats thr one i really hate...
I'm working on this. Its not as simple as changing the boot
@@JaviPlayRetro Any update on this?
Agreed hate that goodbye screen 😂
Thanks for the video by the way
Does yours show roms from both sd cards at the same time? Or do you have to switch and select which port it loads the roms from? If the latter, how do you switch? (also I'm using batocera if that matters)
Great simple video, however I wasnt able to get this working. Got a new 32 gig card, went through this process, the folders got created after putting them in the console and back into the PC, but after copying an image of a ROM (unzipped) in the PSP folder, it did not show me the game once I was in the console. It also didnt show any emulator list when I put the SD card back into the console. Help please?
Hey great video man! Can u do one for wallpapers too? That would be sick
Games that are installed on the second memory (TF2/EXT) I want to include showing the game cover as well. What must I do?
If i want to change my slot 1 SD card for a different os do i need to do anything to SD 2 where my roms are?
my anbernic doesn't write anything on the new (and formatted) sd card. why?
Dude holy shit, THANK YOU!!! This made everything so much easier, I don't have the original instruction sheet so I was trying to go through on my PC and completely reimage a new SD card and everything.. had no idea it was as simple as formatting it to fat32 and putting it back in the system 😂
Hi! I found your videos very useful. However i have some noob questions) i dont want to reinstall stock os to new SD card, cause i want to wait for garlic. Can i just buy second sd card for games and play until stock sd card broke? If i play games from external (second) sd card - my saves will be on that card?
You can. There are images online people have so you can always download the stock os if anything happens. It's better to have your own image but you can do whatever you like.
can you you use the same method with GIFs too ?
could you show how to view the hidden partition on mac?
You are a literal savior . But i do have a question , i wanna play DS pokemon but you said not to upgrade to the latest firmware , so can the old one run DS games ( being able to interact with bottom screen ) with the old firmware?
If you really want to play DS just get the update that way you have the stylus support. You'll just have to deal with compromises of the newer firmware.
I tried using MuOS on my RG35XXH but had issues with sound. I reverted back to stock by reinserting my original 64GB into the console. I reformated the MUos SD card (256GB) to Fat 32 so I could just place roms in. But when I insert it into my console it doesn't seem it. Could it be the fact I've named the card? I'm on the latest version of the stock OS.
thank you so much!
Loving these guides! You just got yourself a new sub. 😊By any chance, do you have a guide on how to install portmaster games such as celeste and undertale? Thanks!
Thanks for the support 🙏. I will look into it for you.
@@JaviPlayRetro thanks a lot 🙏😃
About to get one, so you got one more sub mate! 😊
I’m a newbie to this retro pocket, thanks for the vid
Question would be, i use mac, would it be different here?
2 card setup should be the same. Bootlogo. You'll need an alternative to the minitool partion wizard as that's a windows only program. All we are doing with it is hiding and unding partitions.
@@JaviPlayRetro cheers mate, will try when its arrive
Hello, where do you get the games to add to the new card? Is there a particular website?
A Cool video is what changes you make to make games run better on Stock os, I saw you playing Mario kart 64 and I’m like hoooowwwww lol
I will look more into this to see if we can get more performance out of this thing. Maybe optimize of settings or install better emulators.
Legend, thank you :)
You're very welcome!!!
Thanks
So, just to understand, if I want 2 SD cards, one for OS and one for games, the one for OS what size should I pick? 8gb is enough? For games I will pick the 128gb. And how we restore the OS on the new SD card?
Go for 32GB to be on the safe side. Its about the same price of a 16GB these days and at least 64GB for the games. I personally always use 128GB. Follow my tutorial here so you can get the updated version. This is also a 2 card method

Ok so I’m confused. I have already formatted the 2nd card to fat32 with Roma on it and it’s not registering
Thx bro
Is changing the boot logo possible in the 'out of the box' firmware? Or do I need to download and install new firmware to be able to change the boot logo?
(I might not update the latest firmware and since I ordered my product fee days ago I'm assuming that I'll get the original firmware. That's why I'm asking.)
No you dont need to flash sd card, yes you can change it on the stock sd card. You just have unhide the boot partition. Its not labeled boot. Look for the one that 32MB. Hope this helps.
@@JaviPlayRetro Sure. Thanks! Will try and ask you if it doesn't work...
does this method works with batocera too?
I just got one a couple days ago and have been enjoying it but I have a question, can you put a custom wallpaper on the background?
So basically, this is what im try to do now. I know where it is on the SD card but the partition is linux and I cant access it in windows. So im trying to figure out a way to do it
@@JaviPlayRetro okay cool I'll keep an eye out for your video if you figure it out, Your videos are awesome glad someone is putting effort into this device, it deserves it!
Can you use the card they gave you?
So with the 2 SD card setup, will I need to always select the SD card for roms when jumping in and out the game room or retro arch?
I think only if you have games in both sds. Because thats what happened in this video. This was just an example. If I actually had a 2 card setup i would have a small sd with just the OS and a large card with the games
Can you do a single sd card 128 gb video ?
If I do the stock image to a new SD card for the internal card...then I cannot add or remove additional games from that card correct? I can only add/remove on the external or 2nd SD card correct?
Yes, you can however if you used method 2 you will be limited to 64Gbs and no more on that card. You can use a 2-card setup though and add as many games as you want onto that second card that will go into the TF2/EXT slot.
Did I get it right ? It seems strangely simple, I buy a new card, I follow this procedure and that's it, do I have the original system on top of a good card? I just didn't understand how to put the games
Follow my other tutorial on flashing stock os
I use magic formula for image scraper..from ur old videos...ahe turn out smaller..I want the image to be almost half of right screen..am I doing.something wrong thx in advance
That video is outdated. Follow this one is the new one! th-cam.com/video/5CX_tGCEM64/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LHd1Vbo9ve8eUkNs
I got this and only have two issues first
Dbz Goku's legacy Every time I try to enter the world map I get the pop up that says my hardware can't support the game.
Also....
Dino crisis 2 text is stuck in Chinese even when I have it set to English.
Pretty new to emulators so don't know how to fix can someone PLEASE help me
Is it possible to do this without having the device? Can you just create the folders with the names and put the games in them?
You can if you want to. I just rather you let the system do it so you don't misspell something or name a folder incorrectly. For example SNES is SFC. Not SNES or Super Nintendo or Master System is SMS not MS.
On the second card, do you have to have a Bios file?
You need bios files period. Doesnt matter which card its on. Could be TF1 or TF2
@@JaviPlayRetro Thank you
I don't understand, why my disk have no boot partition
How to reset ppsspp control??
Hey javi, it's not working for me
Can this anbernic device last at least 1 year?
if you take care of it yes.
@@JaviPlayRetro Keep up the good RG35XX Plus videos. I am saving them to a playlist.
Its highly recommended to just use a new quality card. The stock cards are slow and prone to failure
