I'm surprised you didn't really talk about Thanos as a character. Best thing about this movie BY FAR. He was SUCH a great "villain". He actually undergoes the most character development out of all characters in this movie. His relationship with Gamora was so tragic and touching. SO GOOD.
Glooper Xi You say that because we didn't see them interact previously and now in a movie with so many characters their relationship all of a sudden takes central stage. Doesn't mean it's forced tho. It's simply that Gamora is super important in further exploring Thanos and showing a different angle on him. It grounded him and gave him depth. Loved it.
When you say “characters make some choices that don’t really fit with who they are” I think you mean the scene where Dr. Strange saved Tony? First I thought the same thing; “why would he save Tony instead of the universe? He barely knows him..” But then; “oh ofcourse, he saw 1 scenario where they survived, and in that scenario he saw that he had to give up the stone to save Tony”. So that’s that.
Just came from seeing it all these weeks later. Chris’s view on superhero movies have changed and I think he’s trying too hard to sound professional and not like a fanboy. I personally have not liked roughly half of the MCU films. Some are okay, but just a few are awesome. But I will admit because it must be said, this is one of the best superhero movies ever! I’m not ashamed to admit that I loved a superhero flick.

That's the thing: James Gunn and the writers/directors of the individual films had input on the dialogues of the characters. I never once felt that any of the characters acted out of character. Seemed to flow brilliantly from how they left off, especially The Guardians and Thor (going a tad more dramatic, but understandably so).

I mean, the banter between Thor and Starlord is exactly what I was expecting of their interactions. Same for Stark and Strange, as well as Stark and Starlord.

Exactly, it is all opinions. I am not a huge fan of either MCU movies or the Star wars movie, but if I was to pay to watch one of them again I would choose the last Jedi over Infinity war, but that is just my opinion

This movie crushes all expectations and definitely delivered exactly what I expected and I was so happy to see Thanos done right and just seeing all these characters. Can’t wait to see Avengers 4.
I personally thought this was one of the best Marvel films to date. Mainly because it really didn’t feel like a Marvel movie. It was dark, it took a lot of chances, and even as somebody who’s read Infinity Gauntlet and War it surprised me many times. I was really nervous this film was gonna get pussified like Civil War, but it delivers big time. No spoilers, but the ending is almost perfect. It’s nice to see that these heroes have finally met their ultimate match in Thanos. Who, by the way, is easily one of if not THE best Marvel villains to date. Easily a 9/10 for me. Very anxious for Part 2.

ProDucktions I’m definitely in the minority (maybe) but Thanos I thought was just as good as Heath Ledger. The story wasn’t as Dark as Dark Knight or Logan but Thanos really reminded me or gave the same emotions I felt when I saw Dark Knight or saw the first and second Raimi Spider-Man films.
I thought Thanos was so great in this film. I felt like the story was handled very well. It was definitely darker than many previous Marvel films, but appropriately so and there was still a lot of humor in the movie. A- because of the way they did the hulk. Hulk comes out when banner dies. In the movie they made it look like banner was killable. Also stated the weak ass iron man suit beat the crap out of the hulk. He even said it with pride. Absolute garbage. Hulk supposed to be on Superman level. Superman runs thru that iron hulk suit in seconds. They did horrible job on hulk

It's the end of an emotional rollercoaster that is this movie with much, much, much more. An unbelievable way to end the spectacle that is Infinity War.
He was fucking scared man. Imagine being a 7 year old kid watching Spider-Man die on screen. At 7 y/o you're probably not old enough to understand that there's no way narratively he's actually dead. But we saw Peter Parker cower and whimper and beg to be saved by Tony Stark as he was dying. That is a brutal thing for a kid to see. Marvel were very fucking risky with this movie, but they really pulled it off.
Wow. I like Stuckmann and I appreciate there was things he disliked about the movie, but Justice League, rather ironically, isn't even in the same league as Infinity War.
When a shitty netflix movie like Annihilation gets an A you know Stuckman reviews are very biased and not objective at all. If he likes it it's great even though it's evidently mediocre. If he doesn't like it it's simple mediocre even though it's miles ahead from what he considered good. Don't get me wrong. I like some of his comments and the way Stuckman analyses parts of the film but when it gets to giving a score you see there's not a single standard he follows to make it so. It looks like he just puts a word to it but based on nothing. You can check some of his best reviewed movies and compare them to this one and you'll realise what I mean.
21st Century Legendary Dreamer Sorry, I'm over reacting. Annihilation wasn't that terrible but can you honestly say it's way better than IW? Annihilation had really horrible acting. I mean they had an award winning actress and her character felt mediocre at best. All the jumpscares we're really clichéd and most of the secondary characters were totally disposable. The plot was interesting, but that's all I can give to that movie. If you want a good Sci-Fi movie then watch "Arrival", that is as epic as it can be, great performances, great plot, amazing sound effects and awesome visual effects.

there are some issues about the movie: -Thor knows about the locations of the infinity stones in this movie, but at the very beginning in Ragnarok he say that didnt find anyone *Inconsistent Writing* -Ironic how Banner know about Thanos want to do when he only saw him 1 time -We didnt see Thanos getting the power stone and the attack to Asgardians should be longer -The movie need to be longer due for the oversaturations of Heroes.

According to Strange what happened in the film was the only scenario they ended up winning, so presumably if Star-Lord didn't do what he did they would've lost in the end
I mean. Dr. Strange said there was only 1 chance out of 14 million that they could stop Thanos. So he willingly gave Thanos the Time Stone in order to go down that timeline in which they beat him in the sequel.

Joel Miller exactly! I feel like these critics and reviewers just throw around terms like plot holes, incontinuity, weak points etc expecting people to agree with them. Explain the points. Sure this was non spoiler, but it's unfair to say a movie has flaws and weak, disappointing points without some form of elaboration. They act like The Dark Knight, Winter Soldier etc didn't have just any many issues if not more that I could easily elaborate on. (Winter Soldier was a decent film but besides it being realistic, what makes it better than all other MCU movies? Winter Soldier wasn't very threatening and had no motive besides him being brainwashed. Joker had no motive either, just killing because he can for no reason, but NO ONE ever questions his motives like they do every other villain) Obviously villains are going to have some of the wrong qualities, that's what makes the a villain in the first place and not a hero but why does everyone seem to ask why Thanos, for example, did what he did and not The Joker? Even Cinemasins just points out things that THEY don't like with a movie, rather than it as a whole fitting in, like nitpicking the opening credits of movies, it's repetitive and unnecessary, they clearly just want something to critique even if it's not needed. That's why you really can't rely on reviews anymore, it's all opinion at the end of the day. Follow what you like. A critic shouldn't have to love Winter Soldier, Logan and The Dark Knight, they should be unique and not follow a crowd, which is either extremely rare or nonexistent for reviews nowadays.
Joel Miller Black Panther too deserves an A-, just an A MINUS. Not an A+ not an A. I don't understand what reviewers are finding wrong with these movies. Are they just tired of the genre, superhero fatigue or are they seriously looking at things that they ignore in The Dark Knight? Two reviewers, Jeremy Jahns and Chris Stuckmann give each of the Nolan The Dark Knight trilogy movies the highest rating. All THREE awesometacular or A+. Don't kid me, that's clear bias. What made every single movie in TDK trilogy better than Black Panther, for example, to just get an A-?
Yeah, it was crazy. Cheers, laughs, then gasps at the end. This was the first movie that felt like 100% a comic book with the villians and heroes finally match up. This is how you do continuity, you get everyone emotionally invested into everyone.
Does anyone else think that Stuckmann is "holding back" with his ratings for this movie because he doesn't want to seem like a fanboy? It's obvious that the dude loves superhero movies and I'm certain he was extremely entertained by the movie. I honestly think the movie deserves at least an A- and he only gives it an B+ because he wants to seem "more professional". I would say it is the opposite. I think Chris wanted to say more negatives than not, but couldn't first of all, he didn't want to spoil the movie, and secondly, he has too much love for these super heroes.
I see what you're saying. This same suspicion's been rolling around in the back of my head for a while. I mean he gave _Wonder Woman_ and _Thor Ragnarok_ higher ratings than _Black Panther_ or _Infinity War,_ both of which are ranked the same as Guardians Vol. 2 (B+). Pretty sure _Ragnarok_ (A) was even 4th on his "best of 2017" list. Hell he even gave _X-Men Apocalypse_ an A- back in 2016... But then again, folks change and their opinions evolve overtime. And if he gave a revised review on _every_ superhero movie a lot of people might've initially disagreed with, he'd likely never be able to review anything new. But ya Infinity War is definitely upper-tier MCU. A grade *for* *sure.*

It suffers from stuff that is unavoidable. It gets an A+ for managing its cast and story the way it did, but if you compare it to the films Chris gave an A+ too, it falls short.

I was riveted for the full 2 1/2 hrs. The character balance in this film is amazing. The Russo Bros did a great job. Yes, there were some special effects issues but very minor. Super excited for the next one! Like Stuckmann, I don't know where their going to take this and it's awesome!
I just can't get Thanos or his rationale for his actions, it doesn't make any sense what so ever except for plot. He's not a psychopath or narcissistic so he obviously can think rational. But his plan is still retarded. The whole fucking thing is retarded.

It's difficult to grade this movie. As a standalone, it has issues which makes it a B+ for me. But as a culmination of 10 years of MCU, it is an extremely satisfying A-

I agree that the movie had great funny moments, especially because we had different characters interacting with each other than we are used to. I loved that there was little set-up with this movie. They got immediately into it and were able to stay focused the whole time.
Really surprised by Chris and Jeremy Jahns's reviews. Chris with a B+ and Jeremy with a "Buy it on Blu-Ray" which is around a B or A-. Personally I'd give this an A+ and one of the best films in the MCU, if not THE best.

There migt be flaws, but they're so minor that you won't really feel them coz of the epicness factors. Emotional factors also feels very natural not made-up.

glad it's not only me. Saw all these other reviews coming out but I'm like 'nah, only 1 man's review counts in my eyes' Shame he didn't find it 'A' worthy but I'll probably make an exception and see it anyway because of how big the film is, probably worth witnessing in cinema.
The movie is great. But the movie felt rushed but not because of the pace but because of the abundance of characters. I really loved Thanos because he was not a bad guy but a guy with some messed up ideals. He doesn't want power for himself but to balance the universe.

I disagree. The scene with Star Lord messing it up was out of character and such a trope and annoyed me. I don't like how Iron Man can just do anything in this movie, I don't like the Iron Spider in this either and there were times where Thanos could have just killed everyone so easily but didn't. Hulk should have been there more but that would have been more of a personal preference for me. Other than those things though, I loved it! a low 9/10 from me, on the border of a high 8
Prodigy, for Starlord, I guess so. But in this kind of scenario, with those kind of stakes, it just seemed to stupid of a decision and too much of a trope. It annoyed me but I can almost, almost forgive it. And about Spiderman's and Iron Man's suits, that's the problem for me personally. I feel like they just upgraded those guy's suits in this movie for the sole reason that they were gonna get beat up real bad. They were just handed those suits. It's like hmmm Iron Man will get his ass beat in this, but we want him to give a good fight... Lets just hand him nano tech out of no where.This is way more forgivable for me but still kinda stupid. And that's the same problem for Spider Man. In my opinion, I would have preferred in homecoming that Peter would have made his own suit, it's spider man, not another Iron Man, you know? And Spider Man just felt like another Iron Man here. But again, more forgivable then Star Lords decision
Yeah but still, it just seems like poor writing to me to have them that close to winning and then having Quill do that one stupid act and become responsible for Thanos winning. Honestly it would have made much more sense if Drax attacked Thanos at the last second while Quill was helping to keep Thanos down.
My favourite part was when they resurrected Captain America by putting his dead body inside the blue liquid and having Thors lightning touch the Infinity Stone. Then Cap got angry and fought the other Avengers for no reason until he saw Bucky. Then they made out. Also the CGI they used to digitally remove Chris Evans' beard was flawless.

Just seen it, and it's become my favorite Marvel movie since Civil War. It takes all the best stuff from each movie and puts it together. It knows when to be funny or emotional or thrilling. And it ends leaving you speechless and waiting for part 2.

His whole “the hardest choices require the strongest wills” exemplifies how arrogant he is. I think he believes he is better than everyone else, and I don’t think it was a coincidence that he didn’t turn to dust. This whole thing was a massive power trip. I think deep down, he may know that he’s wrong, but it’s covered by the layers saying that he is helping everyone. This is just my theory, not necessarily a fact. If it’s true, then they didn’t deliver it well and is a fair criticism of the movie. (unless that it is revealed in avengers 4) I’m just offering an explanation that the movie didn’t.

Everyone complaining about Chris giving this movie a B+. If you look at this move as a standalone movie, it is a B+. Imagine going into this movie knowing nothing about the rest of the MCU. The story wouldn't make as much sense and it would feel very crowded with very little character development. The entire movie feels like a 3rd act. If we excuse some of the flaws of the movie because of what we already know from the other movies, then yea, it's an A.

Deandre Jackson I mean if you judge The Dark Knight without watching Batman Begins, it's still close to a masterpiece. I would say The Winter Soldier is an A movie even if you haven't watched Captain America: TFA. I guess the best example would be the first Avengers. You really didn't need to watch any of the solo movies to understand what is going on in it. Plus you had meaningful character development such as Steve Rogers going from being sheltered to finding his purpose in the world, Bruce Banner from fearing letting the Hulk out to using it to save the city, Tony Stark from being selfish to putting his life on the line. You get all that just by watching the movie. No need to have watched the previous stuff.

We're not gonna say an Avengers movie 10 years from now that has twice the amount of characters as Infinity War is an A if every character gets 3 minute of screen time with no character development. *Spoilers Ahead* That's why I'm glad Infinity War ended with a lot of character dying/vanishing. It means the next movie will feel more character driven.

Yeah, this was by far Marvel's best film and I love the MCU. This was a 2.5 hour emotional rollercoaster that kicks your ass all the way through and especially at the end. Peter Parker's last line will forever haunt me

Spoilers! I liked the trailer misdirect where it looked like they were going to win. I got spoiled a day before watching it and it still got me when Spidey crumbles in Tony's arms. Red skulls appearance was short and sweet. I'm glad the Soul Stone was out in the Cosmos and not under Wakanda or inside Heimdall. They pulled off the beginning brilliantly with Hulks fear and Loki's death EXCEPT there's no sign of Korg or Meik.
Korg is dead. This movie literally spat in the face of Ragnarok. Everything Thor did to save the remaining asgardians was a waste, and they off screen the films director.
Fred I shouldbe been more specific. I meant the whole group charging in and that one scene with Bruce standing next to the Hulkbuster hand. Both weren't in the movie and kinda had a heroic winning vibe to me at least.
I am ok with it, mainly because it was a great introduction to Thanos and perfectly demonstrated how ruthless he actually is, without taking a long amount of time to do so.

FYI. It is not just an action movie with a bunch of superheros... the universe is actually quite complex and this single movie did a good job capturing the complexity. Also, no one consistently acts the way you would expect them to. Infinity War is a monumental challenge. Also, they had to set the plot without key characters. It was beyond.
I think we watched the movie for different reasons, then. I did not think the characters were jokesters - not a single one. The movie itself was pretty deep, if you can grasp the parallels and the sheer size of what the Marvel Universe (both cinematic and comics) represents, then perhaps you would appreciate the movie differently. Not all works of art have to be dark, depressing and "intellectual" to be meaningful and complex.

well he was as much the thor from ragnarok as he could have been given the situation. having just seen all his people killed, i'm sure if they had the time to show that from the start of the fight he'd have been making jokes at first, but it made perfect sense for where it started, he acted like thor would act in that situation.

We thought the movie was great! 2 out of 3 of us gave it a 9 out of 10. They really did a good job bringing in everyone together, their interactions with each other and the movie told a story that is different from the comics.

Just came from seeing it all these weeks later. Chris’s view on superhero movies have changed and I think he’s trying too hard to sound professional and not like a fanboy. I personally have not liked roughly half of the MCU films. Some are okay, but just a few are awesome. But I will admit because it must be said, this is one of the best superhero movies ever! I’m not ashamed to admit that I loved a superhero flick.

This was great. They finally made a bad guy that felt scary and imposing.
That's the thing: James Gunn and the writers/directors of the individual films had input on the dialogues of the characters. I never once felt that any of the characters acted out of character. Seemed to flow brilliantly from how they left off, especially The Guardians and Thor (going a tad more dramatic, but understandably so).

I personally thought this was one of the best Marvel films to date. Mainly because it really didn’t feel like a Marvel movie. It was dark, it took a lot of chances, and even as somebody who’s read Infinity Gauntlet and War it surprised me many times. I was really nervous this film was gonna get pussified like Civil War, but it delivers big time. No spoilers, but the ending is almost perfect. It’s nice to see that these heroes have finally met their ultimate match in Thanos. Who, by the way, is easily one of if not THE best Marvel villains to date. Easily a 9/10 for me. Very anxious for Part 2.

ProDucktions I’m definitely in the minority (maybe) but Thanos I thought was just as good as Heath Ledger. The story wasn’t as Dark as Dark Knight or Logan but Thanos really reminded me or gave the same emotions I felt when I saw Dark Knight or saw the first and second Raimi Spider-Man films.
I thought Thanos was so great in this film. I felt like the story was handled very well. It was definitely darker than many previous Marvel films, but appropriately so and there was still a lot of humor in the movie. But we saw Peter Parker cower and whimper and beg to be saved by Tony Stark as he was dying. That is a brutal thing for a kid to see. Marvel were very fucking risky with this movie, but they really pulled it off.

Wow. I like Stuckmann and I appreciate there was things he disliked about the movie, but Justice League, rather ironically, isn't even in the same league as Infinity War.
When a shitty netflix movie like Annihilation gets an A you know Stuckman reviews are very biased and not objective at all. If he likes it it's great even though it's evidently mediocre. If he doesn't like it it's simple mediocre even though it's miles ahead from what he considered good.
Don't get me wrong. I like some of his comments and the way Stuckman analyses parts of the film but when it gets to giving a score you see there's not a single standard he follows to make it so. It looks like he just puts a word to it but based on nothing. You can check some of his best reviewed movies and compare them to this one and you'll realise what I mean.

I mean they had an award winning actress and her character felt mediocre at best. All the jumpscares we're really clichéd and most of the secondary characters were totally disposable. The plot was interesting, but that's all I can give to that movie. If you want a good Sci-Fi movie then watch "Arrival", that is as epic as it can be, great performances, great plot, amazing sound effects and awesome visual effects.

Sure this was non spoiler, but it's unfair to say a movie has flaws and weak, disappointing points without some form of elaboration. They act like The Dark Knight, Winter Soldier etc didn't have just any many issues if not more that I could easily elaborate on. (Winter Soldier was a decent film but besides it being realistic, what makes it better than all other MCU movies? Winter Soldier wasn't very threatening and had no motive besides him being brainwashed. Joker had no motive either, just killing because he can for no reason, but NO ONE ever questions his motives like they do every other villain) Obviously villains are going to have some of the wrong qualities, that's what makes the a villain in the first place and not a hero but why does everyone seem to ask why Thanos, for example, did what he did and not The Joker? Even Cinemasins just points out things that THEY don't like with a movie, rather than it as a whole fitting in, like nitpicking the opening credits of movies, it's repetitive and unnecessary, they clearly just want something to critique even if it's not needed. That's why you really can't rely on reviews anymore, it's all opinion at the end of the day. Follow what you like. A critic shouldn't have to love Winter Soldier, Logan and The Dark Knight, they should be unique and not follow a crowd, which is either extremely rare or nonexistent for reviews nowadays.

Yeah, it was crazy. Cheers, laughs, then gasps at the end. This was the first movie that felt like 100% a comic book with the villians and heroes finally match up. This is how you do continuity, you get everyone emotionally invested into everyone.

After all these years I feel like I know what he likes in movies and I feel like there is no way he wasn't LOVING Infinity War in the same way he loved Civil War. Friendly reminder he gave Civil War, Deadpool and Wonder Woman all A ratings.
He also comes off as kind of low-spirited in this video. He obviously loved the action sequences and character interactions and that was basically most of the movie! I feel like he wants to act like he didn't like the movie as much as he did for appearing "professional".
I would say it is the opposite. I think Chris wanted to say more negatives than not, but couldn't first of all, he didn't want to spoil the movie, and secondly, he has too much love for these super heroes.

I see what you're saying. This same suspicion's been rolling around in the back of my head for a while. I mean he gave _Wonder Woman_ and _Thor Ragnarok_ higher ratings than _Black Panther_ or _Infinity War,_ both of which are ranked the same as Guardians Vol. 2 (B+). Pretty sure _Ragnarok_ (A) was even 4th on his "best of 2017" list. Hell he even gave _X-Men Apocalypse_ an A- back in 2016...
But then again, folks change and their opinions evolve overtime. And if he gave a revised review on _every_ superhero movie a lot of people might've initially disagreed with, he'd likely never be able to review anything new.

I was riveted for the full 2 1/2 hrs. The character balance in this film is amazing. The Russo Bros did a great job. Yes, there were some special effects issues but very minor. Super excited for the next one! Like Stuckmann, I don't know where their going to take this and it's awesome!

It's difficult to grade this movie. As a standalone, it has issues which makes it a B+ for me. But as a culmination of 10 years of MCU, it is an extremely satisfying A-

There migt be flaws, but they're so minor that you won't really feel them coz of the epicness factors. Emotional factors also feels very natural not made-up.

The movie is great. But the movie felt rushed but not because of the pace but because of the abundance of characters. I really loved Thanos because he was not a bad guy but a guy with some messed up ideals. He doesn't want power for himself but to balance the universe.

I disagree. The scene with Star Lord messing it up was out of character and such a trope and annoyed me. I don't like how Iron Man can just do anything in this movie, I don't like the Iron Spider in this either and there were times where Thanos could have just killed everyone so easily but didn't. Hulk should have been there more but that would have been more of a personal preference for me. Other than those things though, I loved it! a low 9/10 from me, on the border of a high 8

Prodigy, for Starlord, I guess so. But in this kind of scenario, with those kind of stakes, it just seemed to stupid of a decision and too much of a trope. It annoyed me but I can almost, almost forgive it. And about Spiderman's and Iron Man's suits, that's the problem for me personally. I feel like they just upgraded those guy's suits in this movie for the sole reason that they were gonna get beat up real bad. They were just handed those suits. It's like hmmm Iron Man will get his ass beat in this, but we want him to give a good fight... Lets just hand him nano tech out of no where.This is way more forgivable for me but still kinda stupid. And that's the same problem for Spider Man. In my opinion, I would have preferred in homecoming that Peter would have made his own suit, it's spider man, not another Iron Man, you know? And Spider Man just felt like another Iron Man here. But again, more forgivable then Star Lords decision

Honestly it would have made much more sense if Drax attacked Thanos at the last second while Quill was helping to keep Thanos down.

Everyone complaining about Chris giving this movie a B+. If you look at this move as a standalone movie, it is a B+. Imagine going into this movie knowing nothing about the rest of the MCU. The story wouldn't make as much sense and it would feel very crowded with very little character development. The entire movie feels like a 3rd act.
If we excuse some of the flaws of the movie because of what we already know from the other movies, then yea, it's an A.

Deandre Jackson I mean if you judge The Dark Knight without watching Batman Begins, it's still close to a masterpiece. I would say The Winter Soldier is an A movie even if you haven't watched Captain America: TFA. I guess the best example would be the first Avengers. You really didn't need to watch any of the solo movies to understand what is going on in it. Plus you had meaningful character development such as Steve Rogers going from being sheltered to finding his purpose in the world, Bruce Banner from fearing letting the Hulk out to using it to save the city, Tony Stark from being selfish to putting his life on the line. You get all that just by watching the movie. No need to have watched the previous stuff.

Yeah, this was by far Marvel's best film and I love the MCU. This was a 2.5 hour emotional rollercoaster that kicks your ass all the way through and especially at the end. Peter Parker's last line will forever haunt me

I liked the trailer misdirect where it looked like they were going to win. I got spoiled a day before watching it and it still got me when Spidey crumbles in Tony's arms. Red skulls appearance was short and sweet. I'm glad the Soul Stone was out in the Cosmos and not under Wakanda or inside Heimdall. They pulled off the beginning brilliantly with Hulks fear and Loki's death EXCEPT there's no sign of Korg or Meik.
Korg is dead. This movie literally spat in the face of Ragnarok. Everything Thor did to save the remaining asgardians was a waste, and they off screen the films director.
Fred I shouldbe been more specific. I meant the whole group charging in and that one scene with Bruce standing next to the Hulkbuster hand. Both weren't in the movie and kinda had a heroic winning vibe to me at least.
I am ok with it, mainly because it was a great introduction to Thanos and perfectly demonstrated how ruthless he actually is, without taking a long amount of time to do so.
I legit shed a tear when that happened to Spiderman. It showed how Spiderman is still a kid and wanted to be saved by his hero, Tony stark.

FYI. It is not just an action movie with a bunch of superheros... the universe is actually quite complex and this single movie did a good job capturing the complexity. Also, no one consistently acts the way you would expect them to. Infinity War is a monumental challenge. Also, they had to set the plot without key characters. It was beyond.

I think we watched the movie for different reasons, then. I did not think the characters were jokesters - not a single one. The movie itself was pretty deep, if you can grasp the parallels and the sheer size of what the Marvel Universe (both cinematic and comics) represents, then perhaps you would appreciate the movie differently. Not all works of art have to be dark, depressing and "intellectual" to be meaningful and complex.
Everyone acted in character. Dont know what the heck chris is on about.he does that sometimes, seems like he just tries to think of things to say but that are nonsense. Like if his was a paper he wrote for for film studies class hed get a "please explain" on that part.
I think he was talking about how Thor was different here in Ragnarok, maybe. Not sure, really. Personally, I liked how the Russo brothers had the characters play out.
well he was as much the thor from ragnarok as he could have been given the situation. having just seen all his people killed, i'm sure if they had the time to show that from the start of the fight he'd have been making jokes at first, but it made perfect sense for where it started, he acted like thor would act in that situation.

From videos until a few months ago, I felt like you actually wanted to talk about movies and I could hear your passion for movies just from your voice, but now, you barely smile or frown in most of your videos, and although you were always a bit monotone, it's becoming even more noticeable and worse now. We thought the movie was great! 2 out of 3 of us gave it a 9 out of 10. They really did a good job bringing in everyone together, their interactions with each other and the movie told a story that is different from the comics.
