Exactly this, he's been with Gamora for like 7 years or something. He's in love with her, there's no way he believed that Thanos would go as far as killing his own daughter. I don't even think the heroes were underpowered, they just seem that way just because the Black Order and Thanos are that strong.
Chris Noctskie Nobody ever said he's not flawed. All of the Guardians movies have established Peter as being impulsive. You don't have to agree with a character to understand why they behave the way they do.
That first time was good, but then with Spider-man like 3 minutes later he calls them Wizards again and it wasn't funny, he should have called them something else.
Star Lord attacking Thanos in my opinion was totally in character. He lost it at his dad when he found out that he made his mom get cancer. And then when he found out he lost Gamora, he just snapped
how hard is it to understand, Dr Strange Saw that he would do that, and yet, DID NOTHING TO STOP, BECAUSE HE NEEDED TO DO THAT IN ORDER FOR THEM TO WIN. 14 million possibilites, im pretty sure the very first few were probably looking around stopping Starlord because it would be obviously the first thing to change! and yet, he didnt, why? BECAUSE ONLY WHAT HAPPENED, WAS THE CORRECT "ANSWER".
ThrawnGames Only thing I felt should have changed with the scene, not just Star lord man have drax here gamora is actually dead and he slips up on his grip and sides with Quill or also have Mantis be shocked DONT JUST HAVE it be star lords “fault” make it the info that gamora THEIR FRIEND and Thanos’ daughter is now dead be the thing that throws THEM all off at the last second.
Marcos Danilo i think DOCTOR STRANGE SEES WAY FORWARD TO THE FUTURE TO THE POINT OF WHEN HE MAY OR MAY NOT SEES THE EVENT THAT WILL MADE AVENGERS 4 (IW Part 2 or whatever) Happen... just Imagine, maybe that's why he's okay with being dead again cause he already know somehow someone is going to Avenge them and Undo the things that Thanos has done
When Dr Strange looked at over 14 million possible outcomes and saw only one where they won, clearly giving Thanos the stone was part of what he saw. Also, in his own movie, the Ancient One could never see past herself standing on the balcony because that's when she died. The fact that Dr Strange disappeared but was able to see past that to the one way they defeat Thanos shows that he and others will be coming back and it's not their end, its just the necessary sequence of steps needed to happen in order to make that one way to defeat Thanos happen. Had Strange not seen the one way to defeat Thanos then he would actually now be dead because he wouldn't be able to see past his "death." Also he tells Tony "We're in the end game now." Which corroborates they are on track to fulfilling the one and only way to defeat Thanos. Otherwise he would have said something like "well it was nice knowing you," or, "We lost."
Also, when he turns to dust or whatever and saw the others turning to dust, he wasn't surprised at all and even said something along the lines of "it was the only way." He knew it would happen. Great point that I noticed as well.
Hela was more a tool for exposition than a villain, still enjoyed her don't get me wrong but the emphasis in that movie was clearly the zany nature of Sakaar
No mention of Gamora or Scarlett Witch’s tough decisions or loss. Scarlett had to kill the person she loved, then watch him be brought back and brutally killed again.
ladygiggles She died because the writers wanted to have the original members of the MCU Avengers to be all that’s left to reverse Thano’s snap. Although it was “random”, that’s honestly the reason. I assure you she was no where need peace when she died.
FJAR1635 Even though maybe the writers wanted the original avengers to be all that’s left, it doesn’t mean scarlet witch wasn’t at peace. she’s lost so many people and now witnessed the love of her life die twice. she SEEMS at peace because she gets to be with all her loved ones
My theory is that the people left are the ones who have to die in order to revers Thanos' genocide. So everyone who is still alive now, will die permanently in the next movie. Seems like the best way to move on to the next phase for Marvel, and the best way for people who've been attached to this franchise for 10+ years to move on to other projects.
Plus, if you're able to watch the film on a decent sized screen and sound system you can see Vision saying "it's alright, it's alright" to her at the end. :'(
Starlord was in no way out of character. He did this exact thing in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 when daddy dearest admitted to killing his mother. I expected that kind of thing from him 100% and how human he is is why I love him. He had my two favorite scenes in the movie. The one with the bubbles shooting out of his gun and this one.
No it wasn't out of character. Of course it wasn't. Peter Quill has a history of reacting in a similar way in similar situations. If anything it was in character. Any other reaction would have been out of character.
GAN0R0 I started cheering and I thought I'd be the only one but there was a huge Roar behind me as I was cheering and it was beautiful, then he jumped and he went full Raiden and I cried tears of joy from how awesome it was
because they had not done the proper story building in the movies for him to acquire to soul stone the same way he did in the comics and this is what they came up with.
SAW 89 Agreed. I loved that scene with him and Rocket on the ship. That was Thor emoting the culmination of damn near everything that has happened to him over the movies, and it was a powerful scene
Even with the Hulk, i think it wouldn't have change much, maybe the big dude (forgot his name, only remembered Maw) would've gotten his ass whooped, but against Thanos?, not in a million years dude
The best dialogue: What's the Avengers? Earth's mightiest heroes. Like Kevin Bacon? He might be, I haven't been there awhile. Which makes me want a Kevin Bacon cameo in ge next one. And I'm gonna be soooo disappointed if he isn't.
Breaking News it broke me because he’s just a kid and he didn’t want to experience death so soon . He was so scared. It broke my heart and that’s when I started crying
Breaking News I sobbed like a baby. I was doing just fine, yeah sure I got teary eyed when I saw groot turn into dust but as soon as I heard Peter. Oh man, I had to bite my lip to keep myself from crying. Then it just came out. I couldn't hold back my tears.
For me, it's the best line of the movie. It really moved me. Spidey is my best favorite hero ever, and that made me like him even more. Also Thor is quickly becoming my #3, after Doctor Strange. :)
John Smithee His bones and body structure is pretty strong especially with the infinity gauntlet. I think it would crush Antman. I understood the joke tho
Dr. Strange said he wouldn't trade the stone for anyone's life. When Star-Lord screws up he doesn't reverse time and later gives up the stone with ease for Tony's life. He saw the only viable future in which they win and I believe he is following it !
Mark243099 yeah, I believe that too. If not, he’s an idiot. I really don’t want to believe he’s an idiot, not considering all things that happened after he gave up the stone.
Myrest You're literally stupid if you think he gave up the stone for any reason besides to have the only outcome. He's fucking Doctor Strange. And he even ended with saying "It was the only way".
also it wasn't really out of character. he acted the same way when he foud out his father killed his mother. its justt character continuity, which i really appericate.
But he only looked into 14 million possible outcomes... but each and every step someone could take could result in a different outcome. He didn’t see an infinite number of outcomes because then he would have seen and infinite number of ways to succeed as well. Just because this is how it’s playing out does not mean that it’s the 1 single plot that Dr Strange saw successful.
Star-Lord screwing up was all a part of Dr. Strange's vision in where they win. He saw it all happen. Giving away the time stone started the end game. Even Strange said that there was no other way.
I'm gonna blow everyone's mind right now. In the final act of Civil War, Tony finds out that Bucky killed his parents. Filled with rage he proceeds to attack Bucky and then Cap. Tony knows that Bucky was under Hydra's control, he is one of the smartest people on the planet but at that moment he flips out. Because all he sees is the man who killed his parents. By the same token, Star Lord has the man who killed his woman at his mercy. He's right there for the taking, him thinking "screw the plan" isn't a far cry from what most people would do. Lastly, if the Russo Brothers meant this then they are geniuses. Right as Star Lord is about to attack Thanos, who sees the rage in his eyes? Yep, Tony does and he begs him to restrain himself. Just as Cap did with Tony, two years prior. As I said if this was intended then it's a great touch. If not then I'm taking credit for it lol.
I actually enjoyed star lord messing up the plan it showed a moment of blind rage and that is pure human nature. I don’t understand how you can’t see that, tony would have done the same thing so would Thor and many other characters that’s why tony knew what was going to happen as soon as thanos said it
Anijah Connor not just someone you know, but a love of your life. If I was in his shoes and he told me he killed my wife, I'd probably go into a blind rage as well
I didn't like the scene, because it was very predictable, but it totally does fit the character. Gamora was the first person Quill has loved since his mother after all, even if they made a big deal about Yondu being his 'papa', it's pretty clear Quill didn't feel that for most of his life on Yondu's ship (being scared he was going to be eaten and all that).
I have less of an issue with the scene where he loses his temper, I have more of an issue with the scene where he goes 'Oh man we lost?' like of course we did because of you....that line made me like starlord a bit less
Who woulda thought after watching the first Thor movie that Mr. Odinson would be the most badass character when all the shit finally hit the fan. Seriously no one's had it worse than Thor. But he was totally the MVP of Infinity War
I loved the first Thor movie, he was a badass in that one too. I think it were the Avengers movies where he was a hollow character and there's Thor 2 where Loki eclipsed him completely
I feel that Starlord was completely in character during that scene. In GOTG 2 , he was shooting up his own father after it was revealed that he planted a tumor in his mother's head. He is an emotionally immature character; He's a man child after being up in space his entire life
Your father, dead. Mother, dead. Friends, stabbed through the heart. Are you sure you're up for this?? Thor: (Smiles) Absolutely, If I'm wrong then what more can I loose? Hands down the best dialog in the history of MCU. I'm in love with thor right now. Massive respect.
"With all six stones, I can simply snap my fingers, they would all cease to exist. I call that mercy. Then I finally would rest, and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe."
I think the 2 most impactful deaths for me were Gamora's and Spiderman's. Gamora's for obvious reasons, and Peter's because it was just so sad to see him so worried about his death and seeing Iron Man comfort him as he was dying.
that line from spidey "there's no friendly neighborhood Spiderman if there's no neighborhood " me tearing up " there's no neighborhood without the friendly neighborhood spiderman"
hey there Yeah. I know. Black Panther 2 is definitely going to happen and Spiderman Homecoming 2 is going to happen right after Avengers 4. His "death" was just really sad and seemed genuine.
if star lord didn't hit thanos, there wouldn't have been any way they could win because doctor strange said 14,000,000 outcomes, but only 1 is the way to win.
i give this movie 10/10 loved everything about it but that's not how I see it. I see it as if he didn't hit Thanos, then instead of only 1 way to win there would of been multiple scenarios they won but the fact he did hit Thanos presumably in all 14 million scenarios, the only scenario they won was the one where Dr Strange gives up the stone, thus keeping Tony alive, who will be crucial in figuring out how to beat Thanos.
I don’t think it was out of character for starlord to lash out at thanos because when ego told him he put the tumor in his moms head he just started to gun down his father out of rage.
i don't understand why people were upset about that. it's totally in line with his character to lash out suddenly like - and i haven't even seen gotg 2.
I think everyone who died before Thanos' snap is dead like loki and Gamora. Because they were actually physically killed. Everyone else who faded away I think will be brought back.
chapacoka I didn't think of that good point! But Loki and heimdall and the asgardians for sure I think. At least I hope so. I don't want them to fake kill everyone
Jaybirdie 2 True. But I think even if there are only fake deaths in this movie, there are definitely going to be some permanent deaths in Part II. Otherwise, there just wouldn't be any weight or tension to this conflict.
James Gunn has also said that he plans to focus more on Gamora in Guardians 3 unless he was forced to change it now, I'd say she's coming back but I do believe Loki and Vision are dead
anthony cheesman out of the main trio, i'd say Tony is least likely to die (still somewhat likely) and Thor n Cap have the largest chance of doing a 'Sacrificing them selves' type monent. Tonys only safe because hes got a whole mentor role thing with spidey going on lol the other two dont have much to do.
In Star-Lord's defense, what he did was a natural reaction. A human reaction. I mean, the guy has experienced loss throughout his life. He watched his own mother die, he decides to kill his biological father because he's evil, a few seconds later he watches his daddy sacrifice himself to save him, and now he realizes that the other person he loved, that being Gamora, is dead. Of course he's gonna snap. Let's not forget Stark snapped after finding out his parents were actually murdered by a brainwashed Bucky and Cap hid that truth from him. Besides, Strange said "There was no other way." There was only one scenario where they can defeat Thanos and that includes everyone fading away. He expected Star-Lord to fuck up.
Definitely Not Tommy Wiseau good lord it's a fucking movie and NO, that is not at all a human reaction. Maybe in the uncivilized world, yes, but not for someone from Missouri.
Definitely Not Tommy Wiseau good lord it's a fucking movie and NO, that is not at all a human reaction. Maybe in the uncivilized world, yes, but not for someone from Missouri. Worst leader ever.
Anger is not a human reaction when finding out someone murdered your loved one? And that person happens to be right in front of you? Ok snowflake, go sit in your safe place.
At first I also thought that Star Lord hitting Thanos was out of character but then I remembered that he's actually known for losing his temper and thus going overboard at least once in every movie so far: When his walkman was stolen in Guardians 1 and when he found out Ego killed his mom in Guardians 2.
To me it makes even more sense that Bruce isn't as effective in the hulk buster suit as Tony was in Avengers 2. If everyone could be as good with the suits as Tony then there would be nothing special about him.
Actually the one moment I thought had REALLY stunningly poor visual effects was the scene pretty much right at the end where he is in the suit and you can only see his head and neck. It looked soooooo badly rendered and, although it's meant to be the remaining Avengers realising they have lost etc etc I just kept staring at him in the suit and thinking 'wow that's really bad effects'. 'specially when the rest if the film is anazingly well crafted. Maybe they'll fix it for the dvd/blueray.......
I'd argue for the sake of pedantry that it wasn't bad effects it was badly composed. He had the same dimness as their faces get from being inside the helmet view. Having nothing to put his head against they chose not to use a practical piece near his neck so that there would be more depth.
That was an incredible scene. The music, Thanos seemingly being surprised by the fact that he succeeded, the scenery, and especially that little girl's acting. It was really powerful stuff.
Jesus Salcido probably inside the soul stone itself. Is been established in the comics that people can be inside the soul stone. So it would make sense that the MCU would adapt it into the movie.
I seriously cannot get that *BRING ME THANOS!* Stormbreaker Thor moment out of my head, it's just the best, not just cause it looked cool, but because he earned it, and it's so satisfying to see him get his revenge (well, mostly)
This movie blew my expectations out of the water. I think I experienced every emotion on the spectrum during the runtime of this movie. The wait for Avengers 4 is gonna be a long one.
Brayden Campbell I cried throughout the whole session in grief, specially for Thor, and rage for Thanos, who was detroying many inner and personal conquests from my beloved characters
How is nobody talking about Gamora? She had such a great arc and a lot of emotional moments in this movie, yet all you guys talk about is Starlords hard decision. Yeah he is a cool and interesting character, but Gamora's arc was just as interesting and we learned a lot more about her. She had to face her abuser, who murdered her parents and destroyed her planet (she lost just as much as Drax, and got tortured afterwards for years), she asks Peter to kill her to protect the hiding place of the soulstone (holy hell, talking about sacrifice). The scene where she doesn't realize Thanos loves her and will use her as a sacrifice? Amazing. Just saying, I get that there are a lot of cool characters and moments to talk about, but Gamora is one of the most important characters this movie and not even mentioning her is insane.
Starlord was not out of character I felt. Him being insecure around Thor is very human to me. He always put himself at the center of things and now that a stronger more handsome man is around, he feels insecure. As for him ruining the plan.. we've seen him how passionate he is about him mom. Now that person is gamora.. so him doing that is totally within character for me.
But earlier in the movie he was trying to do what Tony was trying to with him. He was trying to stop Drax from attacking Thanks too early so he can stick to the plan to beat him. He has the right mindset there, but then he flips. Wtf?
UserInterface00 Red Skull being there is.....a weird coincidence. It doesn't make sense. How tf did he end up there and why is he acting like some ghost guiding Thanos to the soul stone?
when he got too ambitious with the tesseract in the first captain america movie, he got beamed somewhere and in this movie we find out that he went to Vormir
Agent Chaos exactly. i honestly thought that i have forgot something from the previous movies. like suddenly he's the guardian of one of the stones?!?!? lol oky
Andrew Zataray how does it make perfect sense? His character could have easily been replaced with a nobody. It didn't specifically have to be Red Skull. It would only make perfect sense if it was a well established fact that anyone who mishandles the Tesseract is 'chosen' to guard the Soul stone, then we can accept Red Skills presence in the film. It's stupid to accept what the film tells you without trying to make sense of it.
i feel that Chris Stuckman is the last person in the world that needs tattoos. it doesn't look like he chose to have them. its as if he got kidnapped by sailors.
that shit did have big feels but I don't get why he started feeling sick and walking over n holding Tony when every1else just faded away basically instantly
I really dont understand why you would want Thor to kill Thanos in this movie. To me, being able to see what happens, when the bad guys win is extremely interesting. I know they will probably just reverse time and make this ending irrelevant, but its refreshing to see a different ending than usual. Thats just my opinion tho :-)
Film Nation agreed they kept saying something about "Marvel needing to make money so they're making two movies". Like really man... this movie is supposed to change things, the heroes lose. Great ending
I think it's because for me Thanos was was the protagonist (not hero) of this story, it would have felt cheap for him to complete the gauntlet only for Thor to kill him.
Some some y'all didn't fully understand why Hulk resist to come out, coz for the first time, he experienced real and true fear! Never in his MCU existence beat him the way Thanos did, he knocked him out cold and bloodied up, i know Hulk's strength was close to infinite, but that brief moment where him and Thanos squaring up, he didn't had the chance to process what's going on, the last thing he realize he's already on the floor, I think that is why he said "No" to banner when his inside the Hulkbuster armor, for me that's an interesting arc for his character in Infinity War.
It's interesting. I wonder how he'll react later, say he'll build that anger inside while being inside Banner, he'll see Thanos again then go brutally planet-hulk transformation in seconds, going at full peak because he haven't seen that yet so far in the MCU.
This is so wrong. Hulk is not scared of anyone or anything. He fights Thanos numerous times in the comics and loses some, hes never scared. He just gets pissed and goes back at them again and again until he gets mad enough to win. The Hulk does not want to come out because he HATES Bruce Banner. He thinks Bruce only uses him to fight and hes sick of bailing him out all the time, they established this in Ragnarok. In Ragnarok, the only reason hulk comes back out on the bridge to fight is because Bruce Banner is dead/unconscious when he drops from the aircraft. This is why Bruce says "hulk we need to figure this out" in infinity war. I think in infinity war we will see a hulk with both the hulk and banner in control and I think he will lay a beat down on Thanos. Hulk has been hugely under powered through this whole series outside of maybe the first one. Hes constantly used for other characters to beat up on to show how strong they are. Thor worked him pretty good in the first one, Scarlett Witch made him go nuts and then Hulkbuster knocked him around. Then we see Thor beat him again in the arena when he uses his crazy lightning powers and then Thanos beats him down in the last one. Hopefully we get to see the Hulk we all deserve in the finale. This was the second movie in the three part arc for mark ruffalo's hulk. First one was focused on the Hulk (ragnarok) and the second one (infinity war) focused on Banner. The third will close their arc together and I'm betting the hulk is going to make a damn dramatic entrance in the last movie.
"some y'all didn't fully understand why Hulk resist to come out, coz for the first time, he experienced real and true fear!" I don't think you do either. Russo Brothers confirmed that it wasn't out of fear for Thanos.
The Russos confirmed that it was because Hulk wanted Banner to be his own man for once and not depend on the Hulk for everything. Hulk doesn't fear. He just fights.
@@localangrydad2590 yr later n I still think it’s a dumb ass reasoning for hulk to not show up lol he wants Bruce to not always depend on him rather than hulk actually bein scared n have to overcome that as 1?? Tf outta here russos 😂🚶🏽♂️
For very first time They have balls for such brave cliffhanger. Thats why this movie in storytelling, characters development is the best from MCU. Such a great chemistry between such a different persons. Everything works. Russos Avengers is far.more mature stuff than Wheddon.
Whedon couldn't do that. He had to let all the characters live (except Quicksilver, but he was there only because he's a twin of Scarlet Witch and she's wife of Vision, which is what they wanted). If Whedon killed anyone, the character wouldn't appear in Infinity War. All deaths were forbidden because of it. Feige (he who rules all MCU movies) wouldn't sacrifice IW just for sake of having more deaths in Ultron.
Thanos may have been the villain, but he was the protagonist of Infinity War. If you think about it, the movie revolved around him and his quest to get the Infinity Stones. The Avengers and other heroes were the antagonists trying to prevent the protagonist from accomplishing his goal. In his own mind, Thanos was the hero doing what he believed in and he accomplished his mission in the end with a sigh of relief. At the end, it even said "Thanos will return." This was his movie.
Agreed! Since Thor Ragnarok, Thor has transformed into THE real bad-ass, god-of-thunder! When he appears with Stormbreaker in hand, you know he's going to bring the hurt.
With Star Lord freaking out and hitting Thanos. It actually wasn't too far out of character for him. He did almost the exact same think when he found out that Ego killed his mom. So i didnt mind it all that much.
Yeah, I had zero issues there. Star Lord can do some incredible things, but he can also lose his cool and screw up. He got pissed at the prison when that guard was listening to his music. He lost his head and started shooting away at Ego like you said. So are we supposed to be surprised that finding out the woman he loves is dead that he loses his temper? No...that makes perfect sense.
But didnt strange tell tony its the only way..while giving the time stone, so technically starlord getting mad at thanos and thanos getting back his gauntlet doesn't mean much. The only way way to stop thanos was probably letting him get all stones at first.
Which is basically the writers telling you that yeah our story has a lot of plot holes but just wait until the next movie to hopefully get answer to those plot holes. Which most likely won't be addressed.
DwolfFW I really didnt view it as a plot hole at all. He saw 1 solution and they played that solution out. He mentioned he'd pick protecting the stone over Tony yet in the end, he saw protecting Tony's life would save the universe...thus sacrificing the stone. He saw the only way to win, was to lose
WITELIGHTNINGHWD that’s not the reason. It’s because the only possibility had Tony has a key component in stopping Thanos. When he was about to die, Strange realized Tony is more important than the stone as far as keeping it possible to stop him.
I loved this film. Not even a Marvel fan since I find them to be mediocre cinema. But this one changed it for me. Nolanesque and dark in its ending. And the settup for Captain Marvel is just amazing.
Same here. Never been a true marvel fan. I only enjoyed the funny ones. The Thor ones and guardians mostly, Also liked iron man 1. All the captain america movies lame as fuck. But when i saw this one i rewatched all the previous movies (during the course of a week and a half) and found that I liked them more seing them as parts of the greater story leading up to infinity war. Even Captain America.
schubbel The Captain America ones are some of the best in the entire universe and the first Thor was just a pretty good movie and the other was a dull and boring sequel, which got improved upon by a funny third film.
The new wave of avengers ultimately died because of the failures of the old. Their heroes couldn’t save them. This is most poignant when Peter Parker dies in the arms of Tony Stark. In that moment, he’s just a scared kid who doesn’t want to die yet. Even though he’s this incredible super hero, who’s faced death so many times, he’s never actually thought about the fact that he might die. No teenage kid thinks that they might die when they do something reckless. And it was absolutely heartbreaking watching Tom Holland portray that at the end of the movie. And to see tony break down when he realizes he failed him. It was easily the saddest scene of the movie. I expected to see a couple of the old guard go down in this movie, but I definitely didn’t expect to see them have to watch their friends fade away into dust because they failed them.
he doesn't really face death all the time. his skills give him confidence but other than the Vulture, he mostly deals with street level thugs who are no match for him right now. In this universe he isn't yet this incredible super hero. That's why stark was surprised when he showed up and tried to get him away after giving him the iron spidy suit. stark knows that he is just a green horn and felt guilty after involving him in the Civil War.
This comment is beautiful and right on the money. Tony and Peter were heart breaking (Tom Holland nailed that scene). I was the same, I expected the old guard to die, not have to watch the new guard die, and it was so much worse. Tony would rather sacrifice himself than fail Peter and the others, and he's always left on his own and weighed down by all the guilt in the world-it killed me seeing him after Peter evaporated. And they made Rocket watch Groot die again, it was brutal, and had more impact than if a major original Avenger had died as I went in prepared for.
That was the hardest scene for me. Peter is probably the only of the Avengers that Tony would be willing to sacrifice himself for in a heartbeat. I think Tony would still sacrifice himself for any of the others, but Peter is the only one where I feel Tony would do it immediately. We saw how protective he was over Peter in Civil War and then he didn't want him involved at all in Homecoming. So to have Peter disintegrate in Tony's arms made me ball. I wounder how that's going to affect Tony in IW2.
When I saw everyone starting to disappear I knew Peter would also disintegrate because I remembered that clip from the trailer when he's on the floor apologizing to Tony. I didn't know the scene would turn out THIS good. When he said "Mr. Stark....I feel kinda funny" to which Tony replies "You're ok kid" it really almost got to me. Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. absolutely nailed that scene.
Doesn't really make it any less his fault though. Wasn't exactly out of character for him but considering what was riding on this and how close they were to succeeding I'd probably be upset with him too. Especially when he comes back at the end like "Wait...did we lose?"
Leonardo Farias I think they've been transported to a battle planet and it could play out the original secret wars story line where Spider-Man gets his black suit. The title could even be secret wars.
Cool Beans true, but he would've dismantled the henchmen easily. Not to mention it brings some interesting character to the Hulk. He's afraid of Thanos, and Hulk has never been afraid before
Fang honestly I don't think hulk is afraid of thanos. I think he was just afraid of coming out on earth where he's hated because he hurt so many people. He never had any issue with hulking out on the asgardian ship it was only when he was on earth that he didn't want to show up.
I'm cool with the idea of Banner not being able to Hulk out. I'm interested to see where they go with it. But I dont think they "needed" to "bench" the Hulk.
Jim Nelson He first told Drax to cool it when he saw and wanted to take revenge on Thanos and he did the same thing! Take revenge on Thanos before they got the glove off?😕
Anthony Frias Did Ego have a glove that could destroy the whole universe if you dont take it off him? No. Ego is a god and can destroy and take over planets but thats the difference between him and Thanos. Only way Thanos is powerful is if he has the gauntlet with the stones. Ego is power within himself, so Starlord had the right to shoot Ego right then instead of waiting for others to remove a powerful weapon from him.
Amp Fiyah Remember when Rocket accused Drax for taking revenge on Ronan for the death of his family resulting in a plan going wrong, when Rocket experienced the loss of Groot he flipped out the same way. This shows that people at first don’t understand what it feels like to loose someone until they experience it themselves.
If it wasn't for the fact they needed Age of Ultron for Civil War, I think they could have skipped Age of Ultron completely and have a perfect trilogy.
Cotonetefilmmaker Age Of Ultron should've been the Empire Strikes Back! Not that I didn't like that Infinity War being the Empire Strikes Back of The MCU, but Age Of Ultron was being hyped up as The Empire Strikes Back of the MCU
With the Starlord situation, I really don't have a problem with it. Dramatically, it makes perfect sense and as people we put emotions over logic. He had Thanos at his mercy and couldn't resist the urge to hurt him. Also, he was willing to pull the trigger on Gamora earlier but Thanos stopped him. So for me it proved to be a great scene full of tension. Besides, on Earth they could have destroyed Vision's stone at any time but instead they were thinking from their heart and tried to keep him alive. So the same argument could be levelled at them.
Starlord letting his emotions get the better of him is definitely not out of character. He did the same thing when Ego told him about killing his mother. The reason he seemed so insecure here was because there’s never been a character like Thor that he felt he had to compete with.
rocket didn't go right? Idk if you guys caught the foreshadowing when he was talking with Thor. How Thor said he doesn't have anything more to lose. Rocket follows that by saying to himself that he has a lot to lose. Then at the end he loses everyone...
GAMER WACHER 2002 His and Thor's heart to heart and the 'use Rocket as a handgun' moment were Bucky were definitely "things we didn't realise we needed in our lives until we saw it"
It feels literally like I watched the first Avengers movie a week ago, I’m actually sad that time passes so quickly with every moment of my life moving forward by the second.
I totally understand how you feel. I cant believe how fast it all goes by, sometimes I just want it to stop but I know it cant. I think though you have to just plan how you're going to live your life so you make the most of it. Avengers came out about five years ago and now you look back in sadness, so do the things you always wanted to do now so you can look back in five years and see it was all worth it.
Drax didn't actually disappear at the end. He just started standing incredibly still.
his movements so slow, he just blended in.
Cometmoon448 YESS!!!
What if?
Cometmoon448 holy sh** yes!
Cometmoon448 hilarious!
"I am Groot "..... "I am Steve Rogers"
Dan The Man “This is my new friend, Tree”
“I AM GROOT!”
"I understood that reference."
Language.
I am .....a pickle, i am pickle Rick
Dan The Man I am inevitable
Star lord literally shot his dad half a second after his dad told him that he was the one that killed star lord's mom. Totally not out of character.
yea but shooting daddy didn't mean the universe would be destroyed.
josh aimes you arent logical when you're emotional
Exactly this, he's been with Gamora for like 7 years or something. He's in love with her, there's no way he believed that Thanos would go as far as killing his own daughter. I don't even think the heroes were underpowered, they just seem that way just because the Black Order and Thanos are that strong.
So he can stop drax but not himself? What a hypocritical character.
Chris Noctskie Nobody ever said he's not flawed. All of the Guardians movies have established Peter as being impulsive. You don't have to agree with a character to understand why they behave the way they do.
Dude you're embarrassing me in front of wizards!!
Akhil tiwari
That was probably the most underrated funny line.
That first time was good, but then with Spider-man like 3 minutes later he calls them Wizards again and it wasn't funny, he should have called them something else.
yeah, that was definetely one of the most underrated jokes in the movie lmao gotta love Tony.
Lol best line
Star Lord attacking Thanos in my opinion was totally in character. He lost it at his dad when he found out that he made his mom get cancer. And then when he found out he lost Gamora, he just snapped
ThrawnGames He shoudnt be a hero in that case.
how hard is it to understand,
Dr Strange Saw that he would do that, and yet, DID NOTHING TO STOP, BECAUSE HE NEEDED TO DO THAT IN ORDER FOR THEM TO WIN.
14 million possibilites, im pretty sure the very first few were probably looking around stopping Starlord because it would be obviously the first thing to change!
and yet, he didnt, why? BECAUSE ONLY WHAT HAPPENED, WAS THE CORRECT "ANSWER".
ThrawnGames he maybe lost his father that day, but he also lost his daddy
Peter : “ Where is Gamora !?”
Tony : “ Who’s Gamora!? “
Drax : “ Why is Gamora !”
Oscar award winning writing 🏆🏆
Spiderman: What is Gamora?
Groot: I am GROOT
I lost my shit at that part. 😂
The Oscar winner for Best Screenplay of 2018 is 'Avengers:Infinity War'!!!!!
That was so cringy to me lol
Benjamin Castellon yea everyone was laughing in the theater I didn't find it funny
"I AM GROOT.
-I am Steve Rogers...."
The Average Gatsby OH MAN I forgot about that part
Lmao
We get it we all saw the same movie this comment serves no purpose to the conversation
Mario Alvarez Lol you fucking nerd
Cap's so polite 😍
When Dr Strange looked at over 14 million possible outcomes and saw only one where they won, clearly giving Thanos the stone was part of what he saw. Also, in his own movie, the Ancient One could never see past herself standing on the balcony because that's when she died. The fact that Dr Strange disappeared but was able to see past that to the one way they defeat Thanos shows that he and others will be coming back and it's not their end, its just the necessary sequence of steps needed to happen in order to make that one way to defeat Thanos happen. Had Strange not seen the one way to defeat Thanos then he would actually now be dead because he wouldn't be able to see past his "death."
Also he tells Tony "We're in the end game now." Which corroborates they are on track to fulfilling the one and only way to defeat Thanos. Otherwise he would have said something like "well it was nice knowing you," or, "We lost."
This is SUCH a good point!! Thanks for sharing this.
Exactly what I thought. They lost the battle but they will win the war
Also, when he turns to dust or whatever and saw the others turning to dust, he wasn't surprised at all and even said something along the lines of "it was the only way." He knew it would happen. Great point that I noticed as well.
Any real comic geek knows this
ぶしどMathew forgot about that ancient one plotopoint
Recently marvel have had some great villains:
Spider-Man Homecoming: Vulture
Thor Ragnarock: Hela
Black Panther: Kill Monger
Infinity War: Thanos
olny12 well hela was kinda eh but yeah that is very true
Edit: spelling mistake lol
olny12 Hela wasn't a particularly good villain.
Hela was more a tool for exposition than a villain, still enjoyed her don't get me wrong but the emphasis in that movie was clearly the zany nature of Sakaar
I thought Hela was interesting.
But I mocked her at the end. - Guilty
Because she calls herself a Goddess of Death but can’t save herself from Death.
You forgot Zemo
Starlord's reaction to finding out Thanos killed Gamora reminded me of his reaction to finding out Ego killed his mother.
That makes sense to me.
Because you would think he would've learned better especially after seeing how Drax fucked up a plan in the same way earlier in the movie.
If Thor was in Peter's place he would smash Thanos in the face too.
Im gonna bet that Vision's structural copy is already complete and somehow get resurrect but not as the same person in part 2
Jackman LeBlanc it was out of character stupid and lazy but this movie was epic
No it wasn't out of character. Of course it wasn't. Peter Quill has a history of reacting in a similar way in similar situations. If anything it was in character. Any other reaction would have been out of character.
Jackman LeBlanc out of character stupid lazy writing in an otherwise perfect movie
I agree that it wasn't out of character. I think it was perfectly in-character.
You can think what you want but it was stupid and out of character
the scene that gave me goosebumps was the moment Thor appears in Wakanda. He destroys the shit out of the monsters.
GAN0R0 My whole theater clapped
AnthonyVP our theater all started to cheer
My favorite moment is when Groot uses his branch to put Thor's new weapon together that shit was 🔥🔥. Thor Rocket had great chemistry
GAN0R0 I started cheering and I thought I'd be the only one but there was a huge Roar behind me as I was cheering and it was beautiful, then he jumped and he went full Raiden and I cried tears of joy from how awesome it was
“Thank you Sweet Rabbit” 😂
“How long were you standing there?”
“For an hour”
Varinder Bhandal god I love drax
Hi Drax!!!!!!!!!
Varinder Bhandal "don't put your eggs in me"
Varinder Bhandal we kick names and take ass
WHY IS GAMORA?!
This had me in stitches!
because they had not done the proper story building in the movies for him to acquire to soul stone the same way he did in the comics and this is what they came up with.
kreiyu they’re are just talking about the line in the movie
WHO IS GAMORA?
lol yeah i realized that after i posted my comment but didn't care enough to change it lol
'' I hope they remember you...''
MARVEL telling to every movie this year.
And this year
Samuel best comment I’ve seen in a while 😂
I used to not like Thor but he has quickly became my favorite character in MCU
SAW 89 Agreed. I loved that scene with him and Rocket on the ship. That was Thor emoting the culmination of damn near everything that has happened to him over the movies, and it was a powerful scene
Juls Token I loved every time he talked to “rabbit” lol shit was hilarious
SAW 89 me too
He was great in this movie
Same. In this and Thor: Ragnorak his arc was so well developed and he has become my favorite avenger.
Peter begging for his life at the end..damn. Most emotional moment of any of the Marvel Films for me.
ccmaster86 it broke me 💔
That's not saying much
ccmaster86 Logan's death is still my top, Parker's death is 2nd
Even with the Hulk, i think it wouldn't have change much, maybe the big dude (forgot his name, only remembered Maw) would've gotten his ass whooped, but against Thanos?, not in a million years dude
Jorge Molina Logan wasn't really begging for his life though
Where’s Gamora?
Who’s Gamora?
Why’s Gamora?
Varinder Bhandal where is Gamora
Who is Gamora
Why is Gamora?
I laughed so hard in the theater
Varinder Bhandal I’ll do you one better
How’s Gamora?
"How's Gamora?" I have some bad news...
When is gamora?
The best dialogue:
What's the Avengers?
Earth's mightiest heroes.
Like Kevin Bacon?
He might be, I haven't been there awhile.
Which makes me want a Kevin Bacon cameo in ge next one. And I'm gonna be soooo disappointed if he isn't.
That would be epic.
kevin bacon still hasnt recovered from the penny shaped tunnel through his brain yet
deleted end credit scene where Kevin Bacon fades into ash? :P
Or at least a cameo in GotG 3
I'm a grown ass man, but I shed a few tears when Spider-Man was telling Tony he didn't want to die. Hit me right in the feels 😢
Breaking News I mean... he's just a kid.
that scene would just destroy someone who lost a son irl too. that was rough af. powerful stuff.
Breaking News same, I almost cried too
"How can I be your friendly neighborhood spiderman if there's no neighborhood to protect?"
Man that line got me in the feels
2SlowPoke Epic👌
I don't know why the next dialogue was "I know it didn't make sense" and why everybody laughed at that in my theater...it made all the sense.
For me, it's the best line of the movie. It really moved me. Spidey is my best favorite hero ever, and that made me like him even more.
Also Thor is quickly becoming my #3, after Doctor Strange. :)
The dialogue was that it MADE sense. Tony accepted that argument.
Vaibhav Bhardwaj, you and me both. That additional line was totally unnecessary.
"Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good." 💔
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I cried so hard
And...
He was silenced...
“You’re alright, you’re alright...”
Couldn't they just ask Antman to crawl up into Thanos' butt crack, and have him turn into Giantman.
"Should've gone for the head"
John Smithee His bones and body structure is pretty strong especially with the infinity gauntlet. I think it would crush Antman. I understood the joke tho
John Smithee he’s trapped in the quetom zone, watch ant man2
It’s Mike but that’s after the click, he could’ve quickly gone to wakanda, ripped thanos open, then go back
“Hey Thanos, got wood? You’re about to”
That feeling when you've waited months to watch infinity war and now start over again for avengers 4
Nick18 M feels weird knowing infinity war is out and i already saw it. And now avengers 4 is the end of phase 3 and just damn
Months? Buddy we have been waiting for YEARS!
Best lines in my opinion:
"I am Groot"
"I am Steve Rogers"
"Why is Gamora?"
“Get lost Squidward”
No mention of the RED SKULL!!!!!! my theater went crazy when he showed up out of nowhere....
Shivam Malik ikr fuckin hell i was going insane. I was like wtfffffffffffffff. But every spoiler review hasnt mentioned him at all
Harrison Sloan why not make your own spoiler review and mention him 😂😂😂
amen brother. u can tell from cap one that he was transported somewhere
He become a dementor now lol
Shivam Malik I was so shocked and it was cool how they wrapped on the question of what happened to red skull in this huge film
Drax was inspired by his former foe/friend John Cena, cause *You Can't See Me* 🔥
You're genius my friend
You’re true, all I see is a floating Zarg nut
What if Groot teach him to do that
Mark243099 lol I thought that too. Also Thor didn't aim for the head, he wanted to talk smack and loss that win for the team.
Yes definitely
Mark243099 It was the only way they could “win” out of all the possibilities that Doctor Strange saw
Myrest You're literally stupid if you think he gave up the stone for any reason besides to have the only outcome. He's fucking Doctor Strange. And he even ended with saying "It was the only way".
Starlord's freakout was inevitable. He didn't ruin the plan. Strange saw the future. The one way they could win is the way it's happening now.
also it wasn't really out of character. he acted the same way when he foud out his father killed his mother. its justt character continuity, which i really appericate.
I actually think that part of the plan is making Thanos think he won
Jorge Salazar but he did win tho.
Toast exactly.
Toast which is also a super convenient way of writing your way out of any problems if you think about it.
TheFootyCast Exactly.
My mind was blown!!!!
Powdered Toast Man mine was
Powered Toast Man Do you have a mind??
Mind blown my friend
Mind blown...excellent explanation
When Thor arrived on Wakanda with Stormbreaker and the Avengers theme started blasting
I literally creamed my pants 😧
Dankest Media Group same
I was singing the Immigrant Song in my head😂😂
...literally?
Yep same
Best moment in the movie.
How about Drax standing for 1 hour?
Andrei Catangay Because his slow body movements make him seem almost invisible...
You wouldn't see much
I didn't see drax anywhere in the movie
These replies are golden.
The Average Gatsby ya lol
I actually enjoyed star lord messing up the plan it showed a moment of blind rage and that is pure human nature. I don’t understand how you can’t see that, tony would have done the same thing so would Thor and many other characters that’s why tony knew what was going to happen as soon as thanos said it
Ebun321 In fact Tony did do the same thing in Civil War when Zemo showed the footage of his parents
Ebun321 yeah I agree I don't see how people blame him for his actions because that's a normal human emotion to feel after somebody you know died
RedLightning17 credit to the Russo Bros for actually knowing what to do with the character
Dr.Strange was MVP for me
I’m gonna go with Thanos being the MVP of Infinity War.
Thanos was the MVP and Thor was the most Improved Player
I loved the first Thor movie, he was a badass in that one too. I think it were the Avengers movies where he was a hollow character and there's Thor 2 where Loki eclipsed him completely
I feel that Starlord was completely in character during that scene. In GOTG 2 , he was shooting up his own father after it was revealed that he planted a tumor in his mother's head. He is an emotionally immature character; He's a man child after being up in space his entire life
For all those that are mourning, we must remember T.Stark's words, "If we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it."
Mahfuz Sazal agree! Best scene
he smiles and cries at the same time and it hit me like a punch in the gut
Rocket's response that he DOES have a lot to lose was great too, especially since at the end he does lose everyone except Nebula.
Vitamin Onew I didn’t think of that but sad
But i got the van!!!
I was hoping you guys would talked about Tony-Thanos one-on-one battle. That's a nicely choreographed scene and perhaps my favorite action scene.
The Dr. Strange/Thanos final moments were tight as well.
All that for a drop of blood?
They didn't even mention that whole scene! One of the best scenes ever!!
Dr. Strange vs Thanos>>Thor vs Outriders>>>Tony vs Thanos
post endgame that fight means more..their dialogue is perfect
"With all six stones, I can simply snap my fingers, they would all cease to exist. I call that mercy. Then I finally would rest, and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe."
Which is exactly what happens at the end
Film Toppings HoLY sHIt ReAlLyYYy?
LolWut
Did you not see the movie or pay attention?
Eric he’s being sarcastic
Cannot Locate
And you know this how?
I think the 2 most impactful deaths for me were Gamora's and Spiderman's. Gamora's for obvious reasons, and Peter's because it was just so sad to see him so worried about his death and seeing Iron Man comfort him as he was dying.
Fanged Katipo
I feel so bad. He was just a kid trying to be our friendly neighborhood Spidey
that line from spidey "there's no friendly neighborhood Spiderman if there's no neighborhood " me tearing up " there's no neighborhood without the friendly neighborhood spiderman"
Fanged Katipo hes not dead tho really all the guys that got "thanos'd" are most likely alive
hey there Yeah. I know. Black Panther 2 is definitely going to happen and Spiderman Homecoming 2 is going to happen right after Avengers 4. His "death" was just really sad and seemed genuine.
Fanged Katipo yeah i agree
if star lord didn't hit thanos, there wouldn't have been any way they could win because doctor strange said 14,000,000 outcomes, but only 1 is the way to win.
Which is why that was totally justified, everything is based on destiny.
UnbelievabIeMontages Sorry 14,000,405 outcomes
YoBoiAhmed YoYo I thought it was 406 outcomes.
i give this movie 10/10 loved everything about it but that's not how I see it.
Or i think it is 605
The only MCU movie I've seen where the theater was silent as the credits rolled.
Three times I gasped in the theater:
Red Skull
Captain Marvel
Spiderman saying "Tony, I don't feel so well" After we saw everyone disappear
I also gasped when Tony got stabbed.. Seriously thought that he was a goner for a second.
My whole theater gasped when Tony got stabbed and when Black Panther disappeared
"50% percent part of me which is stupid, is 100% you" -starlord
안녕danu wise words
'Your math is shocking" - Tony Stark
"Your math blows me away."
I don’t think it was out of character for starlord to lash out at thanos because when ego told him he put the tumor in his moms head he just started to gun down his father out of rage.
Spudbowl People don't justify for what he did. Yet for them they believe it makes sense for Tony being raged at finding out Bucky killed his parents.
Spudbowl EXACLTY its a shame people dont pick up on certain character traits
i don't understand why people were upset about that. it's totally in line with his character to lash out suddenly like - and i haven't even seen gotg 2.
Avengers 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Avengers 4: Adam Warlock something something
Avengers 4: X-Men something
Avengers 4: Galactus
Avengers 4: Hawkeye single handedly kills Thanos
Avengers 4: Marvel VS Capcom
Avengers 4: We can't use half those ideas because we don't have the rights to those characters yet.
Avengers 4: We made a TON of money!
Avengers 4: End Game
Avengers 4: five minute clip of them rewinding time. Replays the first Avengers
Avengers 4 : We can't afford the original actors anymore let's kill them off and bring the cheapos back.
Should've gone for the head!
Thor was OP, as deserved.
ONE EYED DRAGON NUGGET *SNAP!*
Pirate angel
new eye, new axe, new hair. he's reached his final form
Ultimate Thor!
It was so refreshing seeing Thor so powerful and kicking ass like that
I think everyone who died before Thanos' snap is dead like loki and Gamora. Because they were actually physically killed. Everyone else who faded away I think will be brought back.
It's hard to tell with Gamora since her death is closely linked with the Soul Stone. They could easily tie in her resurrection with the Soul Stone.
chapacoka I didn't think of that good point! But Loki and heimdall and the asgardians for sure I think. At least I hope so. I don't want them to fake kill everyone
Jaybirdie 2 True. But I think even if there are only fake deaths in this movie, there are definitely going to be some permanent deaths in Part II. Otherwise, there just wouldn't be any weight or tension to this conflict.
chapacoka agreed
James Gunn has also said that he plans to focus more on Gamora in Guardians 3 unless he was forced to change it now, I'd say she's coming back but I do believe Loki and Vision are dead
I feel like the next movie is gonna be like a 'One last mission' for the original avengers, for them to pass on the torch basically.
But mr Walz, I don’t want the og avengers to go.
Nick Davis
No one does my friend, but we gotta say goodbye at some point.
All great things must come to an end :'(
Farewell tour, this is gonna be a fun ride.
As long as tony doesn't die im good lol
anthony cheesman
out of the main trio, i'd say Tony is least likely to die (still somewhat likely) and Thor n Cap have the largest chance of doing a 'Sacrificing them selves' type monent.
Exactly! Thank you!
What a story, Mark
If everyone could be as good with the suits as Tony then there would be nothing special about him.
blue_pearl_22 Plus Dr Bruce Banner is a thinker not a fighter.
Thats not true, he would be a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
T Electronix Both him and Rhodes looked really bad without their helmets.
“Mr. Stark, I don’t want to go”😢
Joe Bicknell so many tears
That freakin moment! Man... i can feel Peter's fear. He is just a kid.
That was the only death scene that really got to me. In the end, he was just a kid who found out he was going to die.
...back to Sony.
I laughed so hard at that moment.
cant believe no one has mentioned this
"what am i supposed to say, Jesus?"
had me dying
Arohan Sinha Who said that?
Im a Christian and that was funny
@@jacobm6110 Starlord did when dr strange asked what master do you serve
“What did it cost?”
“........Everything.”
jakesammartin Favourite line in the movie...
That was an incredible scene. The music, Thanos seemingly being surprised by the fact that he succeeded, the scenery, and especially that little girl's acting. It was really powerful stuff.
"what did it cost?"
"......infinity, infinity war."
jakesammartin where was thanos in that scene?
Brayden Campbell At least we only have to wait a little over a year.

WHY IS GAMORA
leonthesleepy Gamora broke me
my 7 year old brother when he sees red skull:

David Chidester yep, actual thing he whispered to me in the theatre.
what a crossover that would be
Sophie Goodman-Merel STAR WARS: EPISODE MARVEL
😂😂😂😂
Starlord was not out of character I felt. Him being insecure around Thor is very human to me. He always put himself at the center of things and now that a stronger more handsome man is around, he feels insecure. As for him ruining the plan.. we've seen him how passionate he is about him mom. Now that person is gamora.. so him doing that is totally within character for me.
xISMOKEU13x well you can't blame the guy for being insure THOR IS THE GOD OF THUNDER AND MANLY GORGEOUS 😁😆😉🤗😝
I agree with you. he is not out of character. he reacts exactly like when Ego tells him about his mom.
xISMOKEU13x exactly
THANK YOU
But earlier in the movie he was trying to do what Tony was trying to with him. He was trying to stop Drax from attacking Thanks too early so he can stick to the plan to beat him. He has the right mindset there, but then he flips. Wtf?
I didn‘t know there would be A Quiet Place spoilers here....
RED SKULL on Vormir was the biggest surprise of the movie. My IMAX theater of 500+ erupted when his hood came off and revealed himself.
Agent Chaos exactly. i honestly thought that i have forgot something from the previous movies. like suddenly he's the guardian of one of the stones?!?!? lol oky
Agent Chaos How does it not make any sense? Literally just follow the movies dipshit and you won't have a problem.
The ending when Thanos was just sitting there with THAT CLASSIC MUSIC MY GOD I CRIED
Filip Milinkovic that gave me goosebumps
That subtle smile was perfect
Agree! Plus the scene was shot in my country, the Philippines. 😊
THAT is awesome. They didn't film that scene in a studio and use CGI like we're used to.
And the scarecrow! I'm pretty sure it was in the background, great nod to the comics.
The Aliens quote that got me was when Spider-Man saw Mantis for the first time...
The Tony "Don't lay eggs in me!"
I lost it during that scene
i feel that Chris Stuckman is the last person in the world that needs tattoos. it doesn't look like he chose to have them. its as if he got kidnapped by sailors.
Ashes and Diamonds I thought that too, the tattoos felt out of place on him
Omg I agree like many people should not get tattoos...chris is one of them
"its as if he got kidnapped by sailors"
...and bikers.
What they're saying, Chris, is that you look like a complete dork with tats. Before tats you were at least a refined dorky looking dude.
Ashes and Diamonds nahh tattoos are a personal thing. If they mean something to him of course he should have them.
The real end credit scene has Thanos sitting in his throne transforming back into Loki grinning
Casey Connor
It was a Thor 2 joke
Natedogg5413 Loki is such a good character if he did that I would just hate him so much
that would be funny though 😂
Natedogg5413 *NO! THANK YOU!* [CLOSED CREDITS Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo]
Oh God
I don't feel so good Mister Stark. I don't want to go.
1Way Road Spider-Man was reduced from an Avenger to just a kid when he started disappearing and clinging to Tony. That was a sad scene.
Too soon.
that shit did have big feels but I don't get why he started feeling sick and walking over n holding Tony when every1else just faded away basically instantly
JTK 14 Because they knew he would draw in the feels so they played it up, I know that was the moment I lost it.
2 days later, i'm still crying 😭😭😭
I really dont understand why you would want Thor to kill Thanos in this movie. To me, being able to see what happens, when the bad guys win is extremely interesting. I know they will probably just reverse time and make this ending irrelevant, but its refreshing to see a different ending than usual. Thats just my opinion tho :-)
Film Nation agreed they kept saying something about "Marvel needing to make money so they're making two movies". Like really man... this movie is supposed to change things, the heroes lose. Great ending
I think it's because for me Thanos was was the protagonist (not hero) of this story, it would have felt cheap for him to complete the gauntlet only for Thor to kill him.
yeah for the first time let the bad guy wins. Especially when they already said this movie is Thanos's story
"some y'all didn't fully understand why Hulk resist to come out, coz for the first time, he experienced real and true fear!"
I don't think you do either.
" characters development"
The only character that's develop in this film is Thanos, and maybe Thor
Benjamin Leonard he meant from all throughout the mcu
"Thats why this movie in storytelling, characters development is the best from MCU."
he clearly ment only Infinity War
Benjamin Leonard my bad, I forgot he put in "this" after going through all the comments
I could not believe this movie
TierZoo almost made me cry
TierZoo I didn't expect to see you here of all places!
Tier zoo I love your videos!!!! Didn’t know you liked Stuckmann too
Tier-senpai!🙀
Oh hai TierZoo! Big fan
Dude, you just blew my fucking mind.
War Hounds haha, thanks, I try. In all seriousness, once I figured that out, I went to liking Infinity War to absolutely loving it.
Yooooooooo bruh that shits so true
That explains why I was rooting for him throughout the movie, I was like come on bro you can do it. hahaha
WhosUrDaddy haha I feel you.
After Infinity War, Thor became my new favorite Marvel character.
Agreed! Since Thor Ragnarok, Thor has transformed into THE real bad-ass, god-of-thunder! When he appears with Stormbreaker in hand, you know he's going to bring the hurt.
Thor is a beast. Directors just haven't known how to use him. Nice to see the Russo Bros finally do the character justice
But Thor 2 was worse than shit.
With Star Lord freaking out and hitting Thanos. It actually wasn't too far out of character for him. He did almost the exact same think when he found out that Ego killed his mom. So i didnt mind it all that much.
Thank you...
Yeah Star Lord is very impulsive
He was even impulsive in gotg vol 1 when Walkman was taken from him.
No...that makes perfect sense.
i really don't get it why people hate him for that, imagine just knowing the love of your life got killed, he's just being a normal person tbh
But didnt strange tell tony its the only way..while giving the time stone, so technically starlord getting mad at thanos and thanos getting back his gauntlet doesn't mean much. The only way way to stop thanos was probably letting him get all stones at first.
I was thinking the exact same thing
Brenden Johnson that exactly what I thought, Tony has to do some thing
The only thing I can add with Star Lord interrupting the gauntlet removal was that Strange knew it had to happen this way.
Kaizen Gamer Exactly! I feel like he’d have restrained Star-Lord if he didn’t foresee his flip out already.
He couldn't restrain him, he was holding Thanos with both hands. I think the idea that strange foresees everything is really stupid and cheap writing
Ok can we all just appreciate how awesome Iron man's suit was in this movie? He made every fight scene he was in a spectacle to see.
Q'squad agreed.
Bleeding edge tech FTW
I'm gonna have to save for the Hot Toy of it.
Q'squad - even to the point of getting stabbed by Thanos, he gave it HIS ALL
He was basically "Blue Beetle".
Nebula and rocket are still alive
“Where is Gamora”
“Who is Gamora”
“Why is Gamora”
Matteo D'Anello I'll do you one better : what is gamora
But nobody ever asks... HOW is Gamora 😢
Darth Devoknieval why*
Matteo D'Anello I'll do you one better, when is Gamora.
Matteo D'Anello You're Gamora
I hate how everyone is bashing on how Star Lord punches Thanos because he killed Gamora. Love makes you do crazy things people, Star Lord is the man
Doesn't really make it any less his fault though. Wasn't exactly out of character for him but considering what was riding on this and how close they were to succeeding I'd probably be upset with him too. Especially when he comes back at the end like "Wait...did we lose?"
FIDO it had to happen anyway
FIDO it’s his fault that thanos killed half the universe
@@chiraqg1374 what about Thor who decided to gloat, instead of going for the kill?
Jacob Entz what? He threw an ax to thanos wtf are you talking about
I loved this movie. Almost cried when Peter was disintegrating.
Hamato Nezwez How is there a sequel?
Hamato Nezwez oh I’m not alone lol
Which Peter?
Moon Emoji No you are not
Leonardo Farias I think they've been transported to a battle planet and it could play out the original secret wars story line where Spider-Man gets his black suit. The title could even be secret wars.
No one is talking about Red Skull and it's killing me
I'm surprised he got some actual screen time. I figured we might see his corpse or something, but it's cool he came back
I smiled at that scene.
If Thor would have killed Thanos at the end of the movie I would have hated the ending
rocco88digeronimo yeah wtf he is talking about? He wished the ending was anticlimactic?
That guy is an idiot.
Should have aimed for the head
Does he seriously think the movie ended like that just because the studio were greedy and wanted to make more money?
McSuperfly If anything this is the more inspired choice, as opposed to the safe choice of Thor killing Thanos.
Strange gave away the time stone cause it's the only way to beat him. He saw it in the future
Why is Gamora?!
KXVINXO TXNXO i got a better one.. how is Gamora?!
Abdulwahab bq Dead
When is Gamora?
Caleb Bradford no way, so is gamora!
i got a better one - Gamora why is?
Infinity War definitely didn't disappoint.
Elijah Batz yup is already one the best Marvel movies up to date
Thank God
I think it even exceeded the very high expectations
The hype was already sky high and they exceeded that. How awesome are russos?
How is the Hulk "overkill?" He was man handled by Thanos.....
Cool Beans true, but he would've dismantled the henchmen easily. Not to mention it brings some interesting character to the Hulk. He's afraid of Thanos, and Hulk has never been afraid before
Because he is OP asf
Maybe he could take on Proxima and Corvus but Ebony Maw seemed pretty damn powerful.
You're opinion that Starlord wasn't consistent and didn't mesh with his character is way off. I think that's exactly how Starlord would have acted.
@MK-Kingsley thanks
@MK-Kingsley STOP SPAMMING THE SAME GODDAMN THING IN EVERY COMMENT THREAD!!!!!!!
That was a Empire Strikes Back level ending
TheShah Lol, there was still a sense of hope in ESB
not quite, no.
because a lot will be clearly retconned (as a manner of speaking) as most of the dead have movies in development.
Marvel pulled an Empire Strikes Back. I'm so proud of them.
If it wasn't for the fact they needed Age of Ultron for Civil War, I think they could have skipped Age of Ultron completely and have a perfect trilogy.
Cotonetefilmmaker civil war is a captain America film not avengers
I would have liked your comment if it wasn't for the fact that Empire is... only.. my 4th favorite... sorry
Cotonetefilmmaker Age Of Ultron should've been the Empire Strikes Back! Not that I didn't like that Infinity War being the Empire Strikes Back of The MCU, but Age Of Ultron was being hyped up as The Empire Strikes Back of the MCU
Do you still remember that really old movie?
With the Starlord situation, I really don't have a problem with it. Dramatically, it makes perfect sense and as people we put emotions over logic. He had Thanos at his mercy and couldn't resist the urge to hurt him. Also, he was willing to pull the trigger on Gamora earlier but Thanos stopped him. So for me it proved to be a great scene full of tension.
Besides, on Earth they could have destroyed Vision's stone at any time but instead they were thinking from their heart and tried to keep him alive. So the same argument could be levelled at them.
It also makes sense for Star Lord's character since he did a similar thing when Ego revealed he killed his mom
plus if he didn't attack Thanos, maybe that would've been one of the future where they don't win. Remember. One future where the outcome is positive
What would you do if thanos traded your bitch for a rock
Are people actually criticizing Starlord hitting Thanos? It made perfect sense and I don't blame him in the slightest
It shows that he’s human.
Starlord letting his emotions get the better of him is definitely not out of character. He did the same thing when Ego told him about killing his mother. The reason he seemed so insecure here was because there’s never been a character like Thor that he felt he had to compete with.
Doctor Strange: “What master do you serve?”
Starlord: “What master do I serve, What am I suppose to say Chris Stuckmann?”
Mr Everything lmfao please stfu
🙂
"Jesus". Lol.
Cringe
rocket didn't go right? Idk if you guys caught the foreshadowing when he was talking with Thor. How Thor said he doesn't have anything more to lose. Rocket follows that by saying to himself that he has a lot to lose. Then at the end he loses everyone...
LoXHumaN I caught that. It was so sad :(
LoXHumaN His last shot is him sitting in the background with his head low.
I thought the scene with him and Thor was one of the saddest in the whole film tbh.
Poor son of Odin. :-(
I think that Thor and Rockett will have like a special bond, friendship in Avengers 4. I think that Thor will motivate Rockett to keep on fighting.
Dude are you okay? You should talk to someone about it if you haven't yet.
Yeah, I get bummed by the whole time moving forward thing sometimes too. Happens to all of us
IMLR. Not to mention it makes U feel old
I totally understand how you feel.
Of course I'm not okay with it, but I'm not gonna throw myself off a cliff for this, no worry guys. I'm fine, just pointing out.
"Th-AY-nose"
