Culture definitely plays a huge part Dee. Some companies priorities protecting the boss, while others put a premium on bosses who protect their teams. Both can work, just depends on the attitudes of the people on those teams. Pick the wrong culture and it's not going to be a happy stay at that company.

I agree Nestor. They have specific people in mind when they ask, knowing how they prefer to be led, but interviewees can only guess.
