- For the first Voltron: Legendary Defender video in quite some time, Hailey discusses the now villain of Voltron, Prince Lotor.
As guessed by many, he eventually betrayed team Voltron once they found out about his past of secretly draining the quintessence from countless Alteans. Once he truly snapped, he fought Voltron but ended unsurprisingly ended up losing this battle. Yet I do believe he will return, stronger than ever, with some new allies. Cartoon Universe I think he can be redeemed. He's got a good heart even if he decides to use some questionable methods.

His intentions were good. I think there might be a way for him to break through the madness like Haggar did when she remembered who she was.
I mean, she's still evil, but she was never really "good"? If that makes sense?

I was so upset when lotor turned insane! He was like Space Legolas with the attitude of Loki!!! I mean “HECK YEAH!!!”
I kind of felt like Lotor was a wasted opportunity. I really hope he does make a comeback. After all, if the Voltron team were able to escape from the quintessence field, then it's not that far fetched that Lotor could've too.

Honestly I can understand why Lotor did what he did...he genuinely thought he was doing something good....the lives of the few for the lives of the many.......Honestly what he did was kinda shitty but I can understand why he did what he did....admittedly he did go psycho when Allura "betrayed" him...but if none of that did happen I think Lotor would have been a great leader and done some good for the universe.
Or he would have kept killing people.

Haggar used quintessence magic to fend off the guardians instead of giving them a gift, revealing the weakness in relying so heavily on a strong offense to defend an important location. Then she just let the white lion consume her, which appears to be all that was required. As long as the magical Altean doesn't utilize aggression against the white lion, then it seems that's enough to unlock the secrets, which suggests the white lion is more of a complex running program than a sentient being in its own right.
When lotor comes back he might look a little different

I've been running my own version of the alt reality on Twitter and so far Lotor is planned to side with the Alteans. The Lotor and Romelle from that reality basically founded the guns and they do have a Voltron like robot. I'm hoping we can see a canon version of this soon. I really liked the concept.
I saw the poll thing and clicked on yes. 100% of the people who saw this video agreed with me.
I am at lost for words on Lotor 😭 I could not believe they literally killed him like that on screen, showing his melted body 😭😭 his story was one of the most compelling, it had so much potential; I think the writers butchered his character. only I genuinely care about Lotor among my friends who watch Voltron 😭😭 one of them still had the balls to dismiss him as a brat
Maylena Scott he was melted? I couldn’t really make out what had happened. Looked like just veins were growing out of him.
mgk22 it’s more like he was melting, and his melted body was fusing with the ship, in such a way that it looked like growing vines.
Maybe Aurion only takes pure Alteans because Hagar is just as horrible as Lotor. She is however pure Altean.

In season seven there was a strange robot that came out of nowhere and soon discovered that a altean was in that robot so yay lotor is back

When prices Allura went to override the the station (I don’t remember the name) she could change her size and color of her skin. So i think that scene she is still altain she could be changing the color of her skin to fit in with the Galra empire

I don't agree with the part about the quintessence bringing out his bad side being proof of anything, it did that to all the paladens they were just a step behind him.
It doesn't make you bad guy it makes you crazy there's a difference

Does it? The thing is that the paladins were in a full on blood rage. One of them broke free and told everyone so they knew to resist it. If they all had to break out on there own then things might have been different.

Ever since I saw Lotor, I always thought he could never be trusted and evil, we all know how that turned out.
So now I think he'll never be redeemed.
Alternate possible realities are like time-travel, meaning that they should always be used as a means to tell story rather then be the focus of one. Just look at how bad Steven and the Stevens actually is when you think about it at given how Ian JQ's stance on it would only lead to the complete destruction of reality.

In the last two episode Voltron fights against a robot. That robot is very similar to Lotor's and I wouldn't be surprised that the Altean inside came out from the other reality...(or maybe is Haggar's puppet idk)

Unpopular Opinion: Lotor is dead. First he was corrupted by the Quintessence from The Quintessence Field and Combined with that Final Blast From Voltron? He either died from Overexposeure to Quintessence,The Explosion from his Sincline Mech or if he did survive he's probably just floating between realities.

The whole taking quintessence from a somehow surviving alteans doesn't make since. Yeah they may have magical energy but I doubt that any of them have enough quintessence that could be stored up or whatever. The glara were taking quintessence from planets which have way more quintessence. So taking from individual alteans doesn't make sense.
