Thank you for doing this!🙂👍 (my hometown band from the town of Kemi, Finland) They have quite many good songs.... that "underwear" song is "Victoria's Secret" 😁. Greetings from Finland and take care yourself! (by Nightwish fan since 1998)
Oh god this brings back memories from 20 years ago.. :(... high school.. first band .. we used to play a bunch of their songs... somehow I came across this and.. i'm getting sentimental here...
Great reaction, I love when musicians react and point out some tidbits that I hadn't even though about before. Full Moon is an iconic classic of the older Finnish power metal scene. I first heard it when it came out in 1999 and it's still one of the songs that gets me pumped. What's great is that the band still rocks hard. The singer hasn't lost his voice and his pronunciation of English is a lot better than it was back then. And the audience still shouted "Run away, run away, run away" and "Full Moon" pretty loud on the two of their gigs I went to this summer. Seeing them again in November.
I loved you in Suite Clarity reactions, because you always brought in the essential, (and) the guitars, the compositon, the structure, before diving in the deep end and accepting there is no other goddess than Floor. ...Anyway, welcome to ... here.
Don't think so, but I'm not saying they are bad, it's opposite, they wrote the songs with notes so freakin high that Tony or any human can't follow the pitch perfectly. Just by record a good studio version of sonata arctica song makes Tony one of the greatest singers I think. Though he can't perform as the same easily.
Thank you Twoon. This is my favourite band. They are the most humble guys ever. Tony is such an underrated singer/songwriter. I ❤ these Kings of The North.
Sonata Arctica, that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while! I remember my sister introducing them to me way back. I’m guessing their next song is Victoria’s Secret, not about underwear but they just joke about it. I for one love Twon’s nonsensical ramblings about singing things (and the subsequent editing) 😂 keep doing you man
Keyboard man is Henkka. Paid In Full Live in Finland. I'll put that and the song they played on the outro White Pearl Black Oceans in the Discord beanie.
Children of Bodom. Anything from the Stockholm Knockout show. It's kind of like this but much harder, Nordic melodeath at it's finest (but also pretty unique).
Pretty sure this was one of my requests. If not mine directly, good to see it finally emerge from then beany anyways. Yes, Sonata Arctica is another great Finnish band. Their lead Tony Kakko is a good friend of Tuomas and supported him during dark times after the break up with Tarja. Tony has done vocals in some Nightwish songs and performed live with them in several occasions. Fun fact, don't know if anyone has already mentioned this, but this live version is different to the actual song, the last 1 1/2 minutes is actually another song called "White pearl, black ocean" - so if you listen to the studio version, it will be different:) Great reaction, Sonata Arctica is a great band, with great storytelling! (and the underwear music is the next song in the set, called "Victoria's Secret" :D
OH yeah, the good old days of Sonata Arctica, that song is from their 1st album. Tony Kakko has grey hair now... time flies so fast. The reason of the "Are you ready for some underwear music?" at the end, is because the next song they played was Victoria's Secret
I like the hair! The ending of that song was the theme from another song of theirs, White Pearl, Black Oceans. That would be a great listen too, a more progressive, longer epic. Interesting commentary on Tony's voice. It's pretty unique and I like his tone and how free he is with his voice. Tony is also just a cool funny guy. I'd love to hear your thoughts on another favourite of mine that is basically the opposite, Roy Khan of Conception (formerly Kamelot). Any song from their One Cold Winter's Night dvd is excellent.
Hint...same band....the cage❤..but whatever what a❤ songs u take....all are awesome....❤ and ...Stratovarius...visions.....and Ensiferum....on my swords..or into battle....Insomnium....while we sleep or heart like a grave...Mokoma....kuollut,kuolleempi,kuollut....peace..those are all from a finnish heavy band....
"Are you ready for underwear music?" My guess, the next song was propably "Victoria's Secret". (I don't believe the song is about underwear, despite the title.)
Your hairstyle might not be trending, but the song choice was definitely topical, because the band just released new material. If you liked that song, you'll probably like the new material too. E.g. the song 'Angel Defiled' has your vibe going on. Have you heard of this band? Or the genre? The clip is from the Provinssi Festival, which is one of oldest and biggest rock festivals in the Nordics. It's held in Seinäjoki, Finland, and it was first time held in 1978. Over the years there have performed likes of The Smiths, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, The Cure, The Ramones, Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine, Linkin Park, Muse, System of a Down, Calvin Harris, Blur, The Prodigy, Ghost and Rammstein: "Red Hot Chili Peppers talks about Finnish fans" and "Eläkeläiset Humppa Provinssi 1995 (x-mas calendar 2010-1/24)". Also the tango festival Tangomarkkinat is held in Seinäjoki, which is one of Finland's most popular festivals. The festival has been held since 1985. That came to mind, because if you cut your hair and shave the facial hair, you look a bit like late Sauli Lehtonen: "Matapoliisit8 Sauli Lehtonen - Hurmio" and "Finnish Air Tango ilmatango".

Yes is very difficult to find good live footage of that particular song.
I have never seen Dark Forest show up anywhere... nice!
Same! But they were the first that came to mind 😁

I choose to believe that it is 😂😂
Victoria secret is the best song ever by sonata artica
You are correct! Victoria's Secret was the next song.

I think you need a new nickname.
Something involving rubber bands.
How about "The Bouncy Twanger"
Ok...10 years from now and u will look like Mokoma singer. Check something from them and u´ll see 🤣
