Sitting in bed on my birthday ..they give me day off from work which is nice and came a cross this channel … a lovely watch never seen anyone do this about cranes ..👍🏻
😂 this is why I operate an all-terrain mobile crane and not a tower crane.. whenever #2 comes calling i can hop right outta the cab to take care of my business lol
Hi Andy, I have watched coaster crazy for a good couple of years now and its one of the best around. You have mentioned in a few vlogs bout your day job and I have always thought that would make a great different secondary channel. And now you have done it, and its so far amazing. Hopefully one day you will be able to be on a park in your crane assembling a new coaster. Wish you all the best and looking forward to future content.
Use to work for falcon cranes many years ago m8 .. was a crane supervisor, slinger!! Good old days Think it was ben back in the day who was pulling the strings . . Jaso 's they were using at the time!! ..
growing up in walsall 1997 there was a tower crane. i was so fascinated i needed to know how it worked. the fates would have it i was gifted a high res telescope. i watched the crane everyday. me being 14 i never knew how it was affixed to the ground intel the operator let me on site high vis an one hard hat later. it is a beautiful thing to see a crane build itself
Im a truck crane operator in the states. But im down south, not a ton a tower cranes around these parts. This is one thing i want to do atleast once in my life lol! Good video buddy! Its cool to see what its like out of the country! For me anyway!
Interesting channel Andy, was in London a few months back and was watching the tower crane on the building site beside the hotel for ages . Look forward to more 👍🏻
Great channel I just came across it. I live in Vancouver Canada. I'm retired bus driver and live on the 19 floor of a high rise and surrounded by new construction. I love watching the cranes and am fascinated by how they "climb" the cranes and all the other things. I was always wondering if you have a porta potty onboard! Will definitely sub and thanks for your time and effort to share with us.
Just having a cuppa by Canary wharf in London and watched a crane chap climbing down... Counted 32 cranes on the horizon.. Got me thinking who these silent invisible workers are... So came to your channel.. Fascinating job... Thanks for great video.
Hello Andy, hope you well? I think easiest way is to number each video . I am also a crane driver (crawler) myself I love it great channel looking forward ans good luck
Hey Andy, you've got 500+ subs already, wow. I hope this channel is successful like Coaster Crazy. Great content and very educational and entertaining.
Huge Respect to Andy!!! What a lovely smile you have!!! Dealing with one of the most dangerous job do happily!!! Was wondering whether you don’t need to wear any safety belt or harness while climbing up on the crane.
Good to see more footage from your crane work there Andy its such a interesting job you have and obviously you got to have a head for heights - not a job i could do as im affaid of heights ! nice 1 mate 👍
Thanks for the video mate, im in Toronto Canada and I’m now looking into this profession as a possible career change. I’ve always been in construction my entire working career but now I’m 39yrs old, still fit and strong 💪, im interested , I have my first online zoom meeting/ briefing tomorrow morning with the OETIO,then apprenticeship sign up begins 😮, hope you doing well mate… I actually have family in London, hope to visit some time, cheers
I worked on the power stations years ago but that looked like a set of kitchen steps compared to your job in the clouds I could never do that job buddy . I had 2 falls on the stations so I never climb a ladder now stay safe buddy .
Cool video. Different to hear people say they "drive" a tower crane. Here in the States, we operate them. Most equipment is considered operating unless your driving on the streets. Nice to see different perspectives on things. Keep up the great content my friend. 👍🏼
I have to say, this is very interesting! Not usually what I would watch but I’m surprised that I actually enjoy this sort of content! Great stuff Andy mate!🙌🏻
Hi Andy, Only discovered you Coaster channel a couple of months back, but loving that and now this channel so much. Just listening to you in your cab whilst working makes me smile - such a great, happy guy. Can I just ask about being in the cab for 9-10 hours - going to the loo!?!?! I wish you every success with both channels. I use to love going to theme parks but don't get the chance so often now, so loving watching the joy and fun I use to experience through you. Love all the museum and other attractions too - keep them coming. All the best mate, look forward to every new vlog. Take care, Grant
Great video Andy, really interesting and different. That must be about the same height as a KMG Booster ride! It must take some nerve to climb that ladder for the first time though!
Really interesting vlog/channel Andy. I really enjoyed watching that and looking forward now to more. I couldn't do that due to a heights fear, respect to you for being able to.
I'm 35 and I've only recently thought of this as a career and I would love to do this. Only problem is I don't have any experience in this field or building sites. Where do I began..... Many thanks.
Hi Andy, probably not a new idea, but could you put a gopro on the trolley(?) looking straight down at the load? A few of those shots edited in might look cool. This is a really interesting subject!
Fascinating, but, heights, no way man, a job I just was never cut out for, and when I was a kid, I wanted to be a tower crane driver? I'll stick with the ground. As Colombo once said "I don't even like being this tall!".
No I just turn up when it’s ready to go and then I go up with an independent safety inspector who inspects the crane to see if it’s good working order then it’s good to go
Hey Andy, love the video and I have just found you channel as I am looking to get into Crane operating. Would love cranes of that size/tower cranes. I have a couple of questions. What qualifications should I seek? and also without being too personal but pay wise what cranes would I need to be in that pays the most? is there always overtime with something like this? I am also currently in the process of obtaining my Class 1 HGV license as I have been advised its worth getting.
@cranecrazy hey man ive been extremely interested in starting a career as a crane operator. Only problem with that is I've never been too fond of man made building and heights. Any tips to get over that?
Good evening Andy I just found your channel I’m In Minneapolis Minnesota USA. I’ve done a bit of rigging in my old job it’s great to see it from the other end . I think I’ll give you a follow.
Fook arf are ya Coaster Crazy 😅 TH-cam made coasters my passion 2 years ago and now I'm going through a similar thing with cranes. Guess you'll be part of both obsessions lol Sht, yeah now I remember you mentioning you were a tower driver in of of your Mandrill Mayhem construction videos. Just a pity you don't upload much, would love to see a POV with you on controls if you ever feel like it :P

I'm shocked that's only 80ft up - looks much higher! Very interesting seeing your work outside of Coaster Crazy. Looks quite a technical job for sure.

Got the yellow carpet rolled out for you
I thought on the lift plan it would have said use a drop chain on the brick forks and not longs.
I have to say, this is very interesting! Not usually what I would watch but I’m surprised that I actually enjoy this sort of content! Great stuff Andy mate!🙌🏻
Thanks dude
@@cranecrazy No problem mate 👍🏻!!

Great video Andy, really interesting and different. That must be about the same height as a KMG Booster ride! It must take some nerve to climb that ladder for the first time though!
Yeah probably I tad shorter, this is only 35m tall
Hi Andy, just remember when you eat sweetcorn it’ comes out the same when you have a bob😅
Cool video :)
Thanks
I heard that they can sway up to 6ft in strong winds! 😮
Always entertaining and interesting vlogs yes great idea of adding a second channel 💡
Thanks so much! 😊
That engine crank is beautiful
Really interesting vlog/channel Andy. I really enjoyed watching that and looking forward now to more. I couldn't do that due to a heights fear, respect to you for being able to.
Thanks 🤟🏻👍🏻👌🏻
At 14:14 do you need safety pins or cotter pins on those big bolts? just asking for a friend.
I actuall think I would hav luv this job
I just took my practical tower crane certification on Tuesday
Awesome
Is that a champion scaffolding i see there? Lol iv got a falcon crain on my site.
Yes that’s the boys
@CRANE CRAZY i know them colours anywhere!! Told our crain driver to look you up, he has got bored of his view now!!
I'm 35 and I've only recently thought of this as a career and I would love to do this.
Only problem is I don't have any experience in this field or building sites.

How do you overcome fever of hight? Comenting from lithuania :) love your content
Hi Andy, probably not a new idea, but could you put a gopro on the trolley(?) looking straight down at the load? A few of those shots edited in might look cool. This is a really interesting subject!
Not able to do that unfortunately as there’s no way of securing it to the trolly
Great stuff.
Can you recommend a reliable tower crane training provider , please ?
Thanks.
I work as a refuse collector/ bin man at Derriford hospital in Plymouth I work Monday to Friday 8,00am to 4.30pm
See I told u it be a hit andy
I'm your 500th subscriber 🎊 👏

You have to be In Shape to make that Climb a few times each day. 👍
Nah this one is a baby crane
Be honest when you was near reading how many trips to Thorpe park did you make
Never thought id be interested in watching something like this, but i find it quite fascinating tbh..what's the tallest crane you've worked on Andy?
hi mt great channel really intresting - do you arrive on site once cranes built or do you have some say in its building
No I just turn up when it’s ready to go and then I go up with an independent safety inspector who inspects the crane to see if it’s good working order then it’s good to go
nothing will stop a crazy free runner/climber from getting up a crane lol
No as it happens all the time even with padlocks and gates they can still get up, but it’s not easy to do
Good bro, where you country working
The ally law of cranes but the proper way andy
Thanks mate
Had idea u put cam hooked bit so see load u move be cool
Yeah I won’t be able to do that as it’s unsafe
thath lock huh what if u idk have a hart stroke can some one open it than or do u have the only key ?
Hope the olio is OK I never check it😂😂😂
I been doin this for 45 years seen lots of people who think they know stuff

I'm considering becoming a tower crane operator
Whats the highest crane you've operated?
94m (308ft) tall freestanding
@@cranecrazy Honestly, I couldn't do 20m... let alone 94m!

I did my ticket with falcon 👍👍
Awesome, how much was it
Good luck with this new channel.
You certainly earn your money.
Does it ever get you worried when the wind suddenly picks up?
Anyway, nice one Andy 😀👍
Yes for sure, it can be a bit scary when you can see a thunderstorm heading towards the crane, I always stay up and ride it out lol
