Happy birthday! And glad you find it interesting
Good stuff, nice and calm and cosy.
Thank you kindly
Respect from Croatia mate, from a shipyard crane operator!
Respect to both of you from USA (NY/NJ operator here).. all-terrain mobile crane operator .. keep up the good work my fellow operators!
Hi Andy, I have watched coaster crazy for a good couple of years now and its one of the best around. You have mentioned in a few vlogs bout your day job and I have always thought that would make a great different secondary channel. And now you have done it, and its so far amazing. Hopefully one day you will be able to be on a park in your crane assembling a new coaster. Wish you all the best and looking forward to future content.
"Trained my body not to shit up the crane " 🤣🤣. This is why we love watching you
Happy days
I suppose id have to take a cork and a tourniquet up with me !
😂 this is why I operate an all-terrain mobile crane and not a tower crane.. whenever #2 comes calling i can hop right outta the cab to take care of my business lol
Never heard tuna sweet corn never would thought of it buy sounds good
oh my god ive put off watching these because i didnt wana get obsessed.... its over im obsessed!!!

I'm shocked that's only 80ft up - looks much higher! Very interesting seeing your work outside of Coaster Crazy. Looks quite a technical job for sure.
Fantastic...Coasters and Cranes like the opposite of a drop tower in your crane

Hey Andy, you've got 500+ subs already, wow. I hope this channel is successful like Coaster Crazy. Great content and very educational and entertaining.
Thank you so much !! Not bad going to say the channel is only week old now
A nice slow site for you Andy try to keep awake now🤣
That engine crank is beautiful
Got the yellow carpet rolled out for you
Hi Andy,
Only discovered you Coaster channel a couple of months back, but loving that and now this channel so much. Just listening to you in your cab whilst working makes me smile - such a great, happy guy. Can I just ask about being in the cab for 9-10 hours - going to the loo!?!?!
I wish you every success with both channels. I use to love going to theme parks but don't get the chance so often now, so loving watching the joy and fun I use to experience through you. Love all the museum and other attractions too - keep them coming.
All the best mate, look forward to every new vlog.
Take care, Grant
Oh thank you so much for the lovely message ! I wee in an empty plastic bottle and empty it when I come down and make sure I have a poo before I go up
Hello Andy, hope you well?
I think easiest way is to number each video . I am also a crane driver (crawler) myself I love it great channel looking forward ans good luck
Always entertaining and interesting vlogs yes great idea of adding a second channel 💡
Thanks so much! 😊
I have to say, this is very interesting! Not usually what I would watch but I’m surprised that I actually enjoy this sort of content! Great stuff Andy mate!🙌🏻
Thanks dude
@@cranecrazy No problem mate 👍🏻!!
I'm your 500th subscriber 🎊 👏
Awesome 👏🏻
See I told u it be a hit andy
Respect to your hard work and head for heights Andy; would pass out at 12:12
Haha
You have to be In Shape to make that Climb a few times each day. 👍
Nah this one is a baby crane
Great video Andy, really interesting and different. That must be about the same height as a KMG Booster ride! It must take some nerve to climb that ladder for the first time though!
Yeah probably I tad shorter, this is only 35m tall
Hi Andy, just remember when you eat sweetcorn it’ comes out the same when you have a bob😅
I worked on the power stations years ago but that looked like a set of kitchen steps compared to your job in the clouds I could never do that job buddy . I had 2 falls on the stations so I never climb a ladder now stay safe buddy .
Oh wow!
Great stuff.
Can you recommend a reliable tower crane training provider , please ?
Thanks.
Hashtag no parking.. haha
Hey Andy, love the video and I have just found you channel as I am looking to get into Crane operating. Would love cranes of that size/tower cranes. I have a couple of questions. What qualifications should I seek? and also without being too personal but pay wise what cranes would I need to be in that pays the most? is there always overtime with something like this?
I am also currently in the process of obtaining my Class 1 HGV license as I have been advised its worth getting.
hi mt great channel really intresting - do you arrive on site once cranes built or do you have some say in its building
No I just turn up when it’s ready to go and then I go up with an independent safety inspector who inspects the crane to see if it’s good working order then it’s good to go
nothing will stop a crazy free runner/climber from getting up a crane lol
No as it happens all the time even with padlocks and gates they can still get up, but it’s not easy to do
Really interesting vlog/channel Andy. I really enjoyed watching that and looking forward now to more. I couldn't do that due to a heights fear, respect to you for being able to.
Thanks 🤟🏻👍🏻👌🏻
I did my ticket with falcon 👍👍
Awesome, how much was it
Never thought id be interested in watching something like this, but i find it quite fascinating tbh..what's the tallest crane you've worked on Andy?
I just took my practical tower crane certification on Tuesday
Awesome
Really enjoying these Andy, will you be going g back to the other site. Are the ladders caged in so you cant fall outside the tower cranes core .
Yeah you can’t fall off the tower mate it’s pretty safe
Honestly I was waiting on you buying a Lucozade bottle 🤫😁
The ally law of cranes but the proper way andy
Thanks mate
Is that a champion scaffolding i see there? Lol iv got a falcon crain on my site.
Yes that’s the boys
@CRANE CRAZY i know them colours anywhere!! Told our crain driver to look you up, he has got bored of his view now!!
Good luck with this new channel.
You certainly earn your money.
Does it ever get you worried when the wind suddenly picks up?
Anyway, nice one Andy 😀👍
Yes for sure, it can be a bit scary when you can see a thunderstorm heading towards the crane, I always stay up and ride it out lol
Good evening Andy I just found your channel I’m In Minneapolis Minnesota USA. I’ve done a bit of rigging in my old job it’s great to see it from the other end . I think I’ll give you a follow.
Hi Andy, probably not a new idea, but could you put a gopro on the trolley(?) looking straight down at the load? A few of those shots edited in might look cool. This is a really interesting subject!
Not able to do that unfortunately as there’s no way of securing it to the trolly
You obviously don't suffer from vertigo, lol. Climbing these cranes must keep you fit 🙂
I still get a bit wobbly and my balance has never been great, just not scared of heights and yes it does
Had idea u put cam hooked bit so see load u move be cool
Yeah I won’t be able to do that as it’s unsafe
I work as a refuse collector/ bin man at Derriford hospital in Plymouth I work Monday to Friday 8,00am to 4.30pm
CARDIO....NO BACON MR HUFF N PUFF SNAGGLETOOTH
Say hello to Ben green for me lol
At 14:14 do you need safety pins or cotter pins on those big bolts? just asking for a friend.
Great job!! I really enjoy ur video!! very interesting.. I live in the USA ! Do you think I coulld do this job at 54 years old that I have?? thanks for you commenting
Enjoyed the video - paying to get my red card next month with Falcon as I want to take on a new career as a Tower Crane operator. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Andy, how do you get started in this career and what's the salary like?
Hiya been watching a couple of your videos.recently qualified as a tower crane operator how do i go about getting into the industry as i,m a newbie or rookie ?
dont think I could walk around ouside the cab. Got to say I do like tuna and sweetcorn sandwich. Did you move from tadley cos your contracted out to other building sights? Assume your on a building site for a few days at a time?
Yeah I go wherever I’m needed, have worked all over the UK !! Some sites last 8 months some well over a year, my new site could be 2yrs
Hi Andy do you sometime need to go a long the top level
Only to check if everything is ok and if there’s a breakdown
I'm a old iron worker and you guys are crazzy I would not want to run tower crane
Been interested in a role on tower cranes any info how to get in to this industry would be much appreciated.
Basically need to do a 10 day tower crane course taken at a centre of based in the UK, there is a few around so do your research 👌🏻👌🏻 costs around £3,000
Finishing your own graft, get home, grab a beer and watch someone else go to work.... I like it
Haha yeah good point lol
Sorry if you mentioned, but are you involved with the initial crane setup at all?
No there is a dedicated team of tower crane erectors that put up the crane, they use a mobile crane to do this !! I just turn up on site when I’m needed to start work, sometimes we have to test the crane with test weights
@@cranecrazy Good info, thanks Andy.
Hello mate, I have worked as a shuttering carpenter for many years on site in London, but now I want to change my direction I'm 48 and was considering tower crane operator! I have been in touch with Falcon tower crane training center and I understand the training will take 9 days.. but what are my chances of obtaining employment as a tower crane operator on successful completion of the training? or is my age against me ? and also that I'd be a novice
Hi mate, just found your channel, always wanted to know about what you guys do and how you get up there. All I can say is you got balls of steel climbing up and doing what you do. Id rather piss on a transformer myself lol. Stay safe up there.
Thanks for the comment
Just subscribed- great content. Did you do a course? I’m very interested in starting up. Thanks
I drive a forklift at the moment how would i start my career as a crane operator simular to one you are currently operating here? uk
What are the regulations for personal fall protection? You don't seem to have a harness and clip onto a fall arrestor?
What do you do for dinner and toilet btreaks
Well I take up a packed lunch or if I am on a big site with relief drivers then we come down and have food in either the on-site canteen or go off site and I pee in a bottle lol
Why did you not think of filming when you was on big jets tv ? LOL
Because of working at Heathrow we wasn’t allowed to take pictures etc so couldn’t have filmed up the crane
How do you get into this job, also do you travel around with the company
Do a 10 day tower crane course and yes I’ve worked all over the UK 🇬🇧
What exactly do you mean when you say slip the chains on crane????
Putting the cranes on the end of the hook block
How did you become a crane operator?
“This channels about getting straight to the point” - Waffles about coffee and training himself to not shit up the crane for half the video before getting to the title of the video 😂
Is that all that secures that crane into the ground is for small groups of bolts into concrete? Doesn't seem stable to me. Seems like it would be better to have other supports. I know it's probably completely safe, it's just to my untrained eye. It seems a bit less than impressive when compared to the height and size of the crane.
Whats the highest crane you've operated?
94m (308ft) tall freestanding
@@cranecrazy Honestly, I couldn't do 20m... let alone 94m!
Bro could u help me bering crane bloke what crane be good lift 10 ton at radius and hold it there ?
I have no idea sorry
@cranecrazy OK thanks keep lovely vids very interesting 👍 put cam on hook bit see different angle be cool
Out of interest how many Hp/ power consumption are the motors on that type of crane thanks
I will find out as I’m not entirely sure as it’s an electric crane and runs off power from either a 240w generator or mains power
@@cranecrazy that sounds good I have always been interested in how they power them and stuff I guess the main black cable running all the way down is the main cable. thanks for the insight tho I cant wait to watch future vids
How do you come a Carine dirver
