Hello Is there are way to to make sure the sum includes the values of the previous period? This was only shows the sum of the quater and instead of a race, its showing just the quarterly rankings
@@matthewhefferon Thank you for this video. I do want to update for anyone like me that is trying to figure this out that using RUNNING_SUM won't work. Computing that against the State (or in my case Customer) ranks by the name of the State or Customer. It seems like you either need to use an extension or import your data with the running total already calculated.
is there a way to do like a evolution bar race? i mean for example kentucky value is 3 the next month it does not show the next month value but cumulative so 3 + next month etc...
Hello, I want to show how running sum changes by decades for all countries. But bar chart race shows only countries of current decade. So at the end I see sum of results for few countries which have prize in current decade. How to fix that? Please help :)
Hello sir thank you for such an informative tutorial but I have some doubt as my bars are not getting animated automatically , I have to click play again and again to get to the next section
Hello Krati. If you are using Tableau Public, then this might be the reason. I have the same issue. Apparently you can view the animated viz once you have saved your work to Tableau Public (server). Once on your public online profile, you could play the animation. It seems to work there.

You could update your calculation to do a "RUNNING_SUM". Cheers!

Hi, any idea why the labels are disappearing while the animation is transitioning between the pages?
I'm convinced it's a bug in the latest versions of Tableau (2021.4 and 2022.1). Can others confirm? What version of Tableau are you using Viztip?
Happening the same with me. Can someone help here ?

I'm sure you can do something like that. Chatgpt might have a better answer 👍

Unfortunately I don't have time to answer all question but feel to use the Tableau Community. It's a great resource to get questions answered.
CAN I GET A DATASET OF OUR DASHBOARD
You can find it here public.tableau.com/app/sample-data/sample_-_superstore.xls
