Oh man... I wrote so many 'unsent letters' to people in High School I gave up writing them on separate pieces and dedicated an entire journal to them LOL.

I think it’s awesome that you were able to not only document your younger years but keep your writings as well. I remember keeping an innocent love letter to a boy I had a crush on when I was 14 years old. I never gave him the letter. My mom found it and punished me for it. I had never felt so humiliated and she made me feel like what I had done was unforgivable. She said I was a sinner. I never heard the end of it from that a woman. Anyway... I’m glad to see you were able to keep those precious memories. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow, that are a lot, lot of journals! I had one when i was 8 and one age 10 i started again. 11 again. And now im 12 and i am still writing in a journal!

Same, my life is pretty boring and I do have a diary with a lock, but I'm just scared that when I start another one after that one gets full, it won't have a lock and someone will read it because I have no privacy in my home... I can't even lock my own bedroom door without getting scolded. What should I do for future journals/diaries?

Out of all of the journaling videos I've been obsessively watching before starting my new one - THIS IS THE ONE. I cannot express how refreshing it is to see this unedited, transparent, honest glimpses into your private area. Not only that but it has made me more inspired and motivated to pick up my pen. I have been so afraid to use it even though several times through the day I have something I want to write but I'm like ehhh it's not ready yet it's not set up yet. Keep in mind, I am not artistic in this way. I can paint but not intricate doodles and immaculate spreads you see in bujo. I don't even want to use it as a calendar right now. Yet the fear is just insane. I am so motivated now to just do it. To let go and let it spill. Thank you for sharing 💜
So mature in 9th grade!! Your reflection there at the end about Sam not being on that path and accepting the experience as apart of growing up! Wow! Such healthy thoughts.

Awww, this is wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing, I love seeing how other people journal. I've been journaling since 2005 and I still do! It's so awesome to be able to look back on life. :)

Oh my goodness- how amazing to have all of that to look back on. I would have loved if I had kept a regular journal! How fun. I love looking back at the old notes and what not that I do have. Haha.. you had sooo many crushes. Too cute!
I love your videos, you are so consistent in your writing. Thats so wonderful and inspiring. I am definetly going to journal more. Finding time to unwind and just unclutter your mind can only be a good thing. I find that I feel less anxious and stressed after writing down all the things I need to remember.
I think I'm gonna steal your idea and write letters to people my senior year as well.

I'm so glad you had the courage to share this! I'm so embarrassed by my tween journals and kinda scared my current journals will have the same effect on me looking back in future! It's all memories though and most of the things I wrote about I wouldn't have remembered without looking at it haha

The whole time I was watching this, I had an empty journal and a pen in my hand to write in later.
Hearing this, I wish I never torn and trash my 2 journals from childhood. I rejournaled when I started college but not frequently until recently.
I really wanna have that blue thick spiral bound and that 10th grade green one!! Ah it's soo cute! As I love thick notebooks... spiral bound the most u know!

I love writing i cant get enough of it and that's why i have just discovered in the last 3 months bullet journaling and journaling in general and various other journaling and it has kept me happy for ages i can get simple journal books for writing at Kmart for 5 Dollars and things like that which I think is cool and if your ticked off about something you can note it down in your journal and no one has to see it right

Hello :) You going through these is great. Some of my really dairies would be so embarrassing! I've been writing since I was 13, so it's captured a lot of my growing up and liking guys! Your's are brilliant, thanks for going though some if it on here!

Your handwriting in grade 9 is a MILLION times nearer than mine in grade 9
I kept a diary since 2016 but i never finish a notebook so im typing all off it over in word and then i print them. This works realy well for me. I also type everyday about my day
To be honest with the way you write in your journal it makes up for the pictures other people might put in basically your writing sounds amazing.

Just discovered your channel, omg! I've been keeping a daily journal since I was 13 too, now 21 and still going strong! So lovely to see someone else doing the same, I don't know anyone else who does in real life! If I were brave enough I'd ask you if you wanted to trade for a month (my 15 y/o self for your 15 y/o self, perhaps!) and read about each other! Hope you're keeping it up, thanks for sharing!!
9:56 but this would be the greatest setting for a love story. Boys leave note and years later they get a call and eventually fall in love. Sorry. I watch too many Romantic movies.
Is that really what teen girls think about? I admit to having paused the video several times to read pages, and I am amazed. It's very cute and adorable, but is that normal? Is everyone's journal along those lines?
Thanks for sharing, anyway :D It's amazing to have an insight in how you used to be - I often try to push myself to journal more ( I take about 1-3 years too fill an A5 journal, only writing on one of the double pages.), so that I can have those memories for myself.

I really love your videos, they always give me the feeling to go and write, especially this one, because i just started my freshman year in high school, and i cant wait to write into my journal what will happen. I just started to smile endlessly, because right now Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten and the At The Beginning from Anastasia is my two favorite song. Also, i have a great problem with journaling: i always start a new notebook for them and in a little time i just forget it and give up. (Sometimes i just don't want to start the beautiful ones, because i know i will sorry if i give up again.) What would you say, how can i stay motivated?
