Now, I generally think of myself as a pretty good MHW player but uh... maybe I don't know how to use the insect glaive. I've done fantastic until Shara. I either run out of time or get carted too much. Think I'll work on my MR, and use the strategy you used! Thank you!!!
I played MHW when I was still really young, and I played on my dad's account. I mained IG and as a child I mostly did airborne attacks since I thought it was fun + still killed monsters relatively quick. Now I'm older and I don't play anymore since my dad moved on to other games, and I'm sitting here realizing; "Wow, all the hunters I played with back then must've been so annoyed with me going full airborne in most fights.."
Woah I been using the glaive wrong huh, never knew I can clutch with unsheath weapon and that move you do when u leap up and dive down how you do it. And one important thing is I didn't know that combo is much better than the XXXOO. The 1 where u spin the glaive up like a yoyo.
Thanks! Honestly, just work towards whichever has the best defense early on. Then when you get to mid-master rank, you should look into the rathalos or nargacuga sets. I went into M-rank with my high rank gear until Viper Tobi Kadachi and farmed his armor until I got to Rathalos and made his set.
You never want to go full airborne with insect glaive unless you're going for a mount for the team. The airborne attacks even with the airborne skill still doesn't do as much DPS as the ground combos. Clutch claw is way more helpful for you and your team and you always want to use it when the monster is stunned.
@@klub7842 Icescepter upgraded to Wise Felos is better than the beo glaive. Datura is ok if you like poison, but you're better off running a glaive with more raw damage. Ice scepter is the best of the 3, but only against monsters who are weak to ice. You want to make a glaive of every element if you're gonna main insect glaive.
@@Raeon i see, Ive been using datura just cause of the purple sharpness and Im working on getting the glavenus glaive, im not sure if i will go for zinogre though
@@klub7842 The glaives I recommend are: Shara (raw), Velkhana (ice), Rathalos (fire, but the final upgrade), Namielle (water), Zinogre (thunder), and Ruiner Nerg (dragon). Depending on how far you are, the final Rathalos upgrade and Ruiner Nerg may come way later for you so glavenus and the dragonbone glaives will be fine until you get to the late endgame for those other 2 glaives I recommended.
I’m a IG user.. comeback after a year left MHW. Now I’m stuck here.. this vid helps a lot.. salute!

That thumbnail is creepy and unsettling
Jordan Phillips Guess who’s staying up for the night.... 😨
@@AlexiosTheWitchBoy I farmed it for the material but I dislike because how frightening it is when it stares at you
To me it just is saying "Why hello there, can I interest you in leaving this mortal coil?"
_Shara Ishvalda_ is creepy and unsettling, so...that seems fair.

As an IG user, I thought that the insect glaives primary combat mechanism is leaping up into the air and attacking. I was so, SO wrong.
Nice vid and all but...
What is that name?
How did you do that move on 6:20
This is the first run that I noticed that move.
I probably canceled out of it because I knew it was gonna shed and pressed triangle in the air.
@@Raeon thanks for the tip. I'll try it when I get home

I Also Saw That And I Dont Know That Combo Too
( R2+X > R2 ) This Is The Combo I Ask From Facebook MHW Page But I Play On PC Not PS4
Awesome run! Just wanna know..do you have a set/build for early gaming in master rank?

fulgar head odo coil and rest narga gives some nice skills to work with and a heap of slots
Thanks guys! Appreciate the suggestions. Will definitely look into these sets.
