Suggest you & subscribers watch Laura Geller video on how to use her brush in different ways for light coverage & fuller coverage (which is what I use). Also highly suggest using concealer first before foundation. Makes a huge difference. I love LG for my 76 year old skin. I have sun damage & “stuff” and product does an amazing but natural finish. Very happy with LG.
I absolutely loved how it turned out. I don’t think it was too bronzed but this is my first video of yours I’m watching so I don’t have a basis for comparison. I think it looks lovely.
I have broken capillaries on my chin as well. I use the foundation with the kabuki brush and then use a small fluffy brush to spot conceal with the same foundation. It covers beautifully.

It looks fabulous you always do but this actually looks phenomenal and you look younger and brighter. Thank you for all you do ....I'm 54 and have hooded eyes you've helped me a lot over the years. I'm definitely going to try this happy holidays
Hi! I am a big fan of LG and now of your channel! I think it takes a bit of practice with the bronzer, but I finally got it to just warm up my pale skin instead of "OH!" I think you look lovely! Nice to meet you, Jill Lynn. See ya next time!
For more coverage, try her Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation. You definitely need to moisturize very well for the heavier coverage powder foundations. I am 72 and it does not accentuate the lines. But again, do extra moisturizer. Thanks for doing this pallet, very pretty.
I think you look just beautiful. Sounds like spring time there also with the birds chirping. It looks like you have a golden kind of summer look if you know what I mean. Very pretty. Thanks Jill
Hi, I also purchased this same set and got the foundation in fair, because I am, it was a little dark so returned it for the porcelain and now I love it. They actually said I didn’t have to return it so it will be fine to use in the summer. I think it looks beautiful on you. I love how you did your eyes, I’m going to try that look. Thank you!
I just ordered more of Laura Gellar baked and Brighten. It works so well with my oily skin and tone. I do use a sponge to apply and a brush to smooth. I also have had great results with CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum. I use that morning and evening.
I use primarily Laura Geller. To be fair, last year I won a one year PR promo and received a TON of product throughout the year. My fav is her eye Spackle and face Spackle items.
Hi! I don't think I've ever commented on your excellent channel, even though I've been watching since 2020. Coincidentally, I only tried Laura Geller face products for the first time in the past 1.5 months. I knew the baked foundations would be risky because lots of people say they pull warm (and I am a cold and clear/bright Winter)...and also because, due to sensitive skin and eyes, my daily sunscreens are high-zinc oxide ones that are inevitably overly whitening and inelegant in texture. Any type of base product looks less-than-optimal over my sunscreens. Because people warned me about the warm Baked n Brighten foundation shades, but because the cool-ish Porcelain looked too light, I started with Medium, which I knew would be too deep for my light skin but which looked among the coolest of the other first few shades. I was correct that it wasn't horribly warm, but it was indeed too deep, so I bought Porcelain to supplement. Porcelain is too chalky and light on its own, so now I'm mixing them. I use a dense, short-haired kabuki brush to stipple it on (I can't buff any product on top of the sunscreen without displacing the latter). I mean...no one will ever look her best with any powder, even a baked one, stippled onto 1/4 tsp of high-zinc oxide sunscreen. The B&B foundation looks cakey and heavy on my zinced-up face, like any other powder, cream or liquid does. But tonight I was indoors all day and will only be going out after dark, so I'll get to try it on bare, moisturized skin and let you know! Also, I purposely ordered the very coolest-looking baked Blushes (Raspberry & Pink Buttercream) and the pink shade of the Bronze/Blush combo powder, and they're all still too warm. It's frustrating that her nice products are hampered by both limited shade range and undertone. Pretty much the only thing that's not too warm is the Porcelain foundation, which is too light for most people, I think possibly even for you. I still encourage you to try Porcelain, though, and maybe mix it with your Fair, because the latter is indeed warm. But overall, I thought you looked excellent and wasn't sure what you meant when you said the blush or shimmer were too much. On camera, you looked super understated and quite elegant. Beautiful, as you always are. Thanks for the fun review!
I think that the foundation gives you a very flattering glow! Not at all too much. But if it seems like too much glow for you, definitely try the full coverage version that they make. I would get it in the shade Porcelain though because the extra coverage can come across a bit darker. I've used all of her formulas and it's changed the way I do makeup. I really like not having to fool with blending out liquid foundations.
Hi! I get them from Costco in a bundle! THey are the white hand towels. I like white because I can use bleach when washing, and it gets the makeup out. ;) I also use paper towels sometimes too .
And i have my teenage daughter using lg and she has had little to no breakouts. I have her using cereve skincare and she also ues the tint and spackle too.
I too just fell into the U tube excitement and bought the same starter kit. I have never liked wearing makeup so thought I too would give it a try. Loved the way it felt on my skin..not heavy like cream foundation. But I feel the same way as you do.. better look for summer time. Wish it had less orange look. Wish I got the lighter foundation..i purchased light.
Same thoughts exactly! I have read recently that is who are fair tend to feel the porcelain is too light and the fair is too orange, and just not right. Yes, everything except the eye shadows give me that orange undertone. Yes….Maybe we’ll like it better in Summer?
Wanted to tell you about a hair thickening..my sister told me about..I lost a ton of hair over a year ago when I sold my house and moved in with my boyfriend..stress. I went from a ponytail of three wraps back to two in a year. Saw palmetto supplement. Found the one from whole foods works the best..I only take twice a week.
I have tried Laura Geller baked foundation and found it to be heavy and cakey looking. I’ve tried many mineral based brands of make-up and absolutely love Jane Iredale Pure Pressed mineral foundation. I apply it with the ultra thin sponge that comes with it then buff lightly with a big fluffy brush. Wait a few minutes and it just melds with your skin and looks totally natural with good medium coverage. Spritz with the Pommisst Hydration spray and gently pat with hands, it just looks luminous. I get compliments on my skin from strangers and I’m 66 years old! I first purchased Jane Iredale from my doctor’s office/spa but now I get it online. I’m fair like yourself. I found the Laura Geller too dark for my complexion. Thanks for your expertise, I always look forward to your videos😁
I think the makeup looks really pretty on you. I just started using laura geller again and I love it. You need to use the kabuki brush correctly to get fuller coverage, opening it right up gives a lighter coverage
I would love love love you too critique Seint make up and your take. I’ve been using it for about 10 months and I love it, however, would so appreciate your technique for using it -the colors ect-and your thoughts. Thanks for your guidance with wigs and make up I value it so much.
I recently started using Laura Geller and then saw your video! So far I am really liking her products. I agree that the foundation you used, which I also use, is not full coverage. I just ordered one of her baked foundations that is a heavier coverage so I am hoping that will suit me better. I think the look was great on you and as you said you can vary how much you want to layer depending upon what look you want to achieve.
I use this Geller pallette as well. I think the slight glowieness enhances your skin. It gives you a youthful dewy look. The blush is a beautiful color on you, just, use less. I am very, very fair, green eyed. This pallette works great for me. I do wish it was a little less orange, but it works in small, light washes. The blush helps to distract from any orange tint that you might see. On the day to day, I run out the door with just light eye work, lipstick and blush. You look great! Thanks for this video.
I love the tight line! Eyeshadow rocks!! Lol Rudolph! Lol! I didn't care for , on me, LG face cover up at all. Your new house looks so cozy and peaceful ❤
Agree the blusher a bit too much but it looks very nice on you . I don’t think it looks too much for everyday . I bought this set and have not yet used the eye color so,pleased to watch your video before i try it .
Hi, someone - per chance - does know where I can get Laura Geller products in Europe? Because ordering in USA is very expensive for shipping and taxes/dutys (about 60€ 😱)
Hi Jill I love love love your videos!!!!!!! All of them!!!!!!!!! I really do ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Plz do a video on showing us how to clean your brushes and so forth I know I already said something to you about that so plz do that!!!!! 😀😀😀😀 Thank You Jill We love you!!🥰 Thank You so much Do you already have a video out here that shows all of those things and if you do plz let me know where I can find that plz? Just got my first pallette from Laura Geller and I was looking for tutorials..I love how you applied your eyeshadow. Can't wait to try it tomorrow😊 I did test it out this morning. But I shadows were really light. I didn't know that you can build it up. So now i'm going to try that tomorrow.
I have been wondering about this product line. I have a Winter coloring and good skin so I have never ( my entire life) warm foundations or makeup in general. I wore/ware makeup only on Sundays, dates, and special occasions. But, now that I am in my mid (pushing later 60‘s, lol) 60‘s I feel like I could benefit from more makeup. Although my skin still looks even and good. So I am So grateful for this review. I am worries about the warmth verses my cool coloring, but I’m not super pale. Your right about the outside intensity of the color, I would rather have moist looking skin. I realize I have to buy eye brushes!! I love the overall look. Your wonderfully. P.S. I finally feel brave enough to try playing with the beautiful blond wig I bought 3 yrs ago due to your videos. Love you lady
Hi Jill! So happy to see a new video from you. I think your skin looks lovely and luminous, but then you're such a beautiful woman. I don't think your blush looks too heavy-handed or you have too much glow. I think that maybe it's just not what you're used to. 💖 I've used Laura Geller products for many years, and really love her baked products.
Hi Jill, I started using Laura Geller baked foundation this year. I haven’t tried the eyeshadow palette. I’m so glad you’re back, I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing ❤️
I LOVE IT ALL! I honestly dont think its too much blush either. Although I love the color you chose for lips...I think a darker color would be gorgeous too!
Thank you for this! I think your application looks beautiful on you. I get it if not used to the new makeup but it does flatter your natural look, imho. I just ordered my set a few days again and it’s in transit still. I’m concerned the foundation part (which I ordered the double baked) and the bronzer are going to be too yellowish or warm because I didn’t see any of the choices for those with cooler tones. Hoping it somehow works because I like the concept. I guess the worst thing that could happen is to return it but kind of at my wits end trying to find something like this.
I think the look at 29:00 is gorgeous IMO. But I get it. I still haven't perfected my "no-makeup" makeup yet......I purchased the Best of the best kit because until I turned 50, I was able to get away with mascara, lipstick and blush and that's it.
I just received the LG palette and foundation. I learned a lot from your tutorial. I don't like much blush either but I don't care for bronzer on my fair skin. I look like I have a dirty face !!
The brush from laura geller is adjustable to become stiffer when it is more inside the tube. By doing this and tapping it into the skin you will get more coverage per Laura Geller video I saw.
I have rosacea, 64 yrs old. I tried the Erborian CC cream for redness - just down the middle of my face - it adjusts the redness without looking like makeup or concealer. Then go over whole face with powder foundation….I really want to try the Jane Iredale . But powder is perfect for the days you want light coverage and in the summer! I have the LG bronzer in fair which is actually more bronze than warm and has pink mixed in. I don’t wear all her products at same time because of the glow. Jones Road makes a matte bronzer called Dusty Rose a cool undertone for fair people who don’t want the warmer bronzer.
I didn't find it buildable myself, sadly. The brush just wasn't a hit for me. I think I am spoiled with the BK brush line. They are so stinkin soft and so well crafted. ❤
Hi Jill! I’m so glad to see this because I bought some of this line recently and I’m just not loving it. I bought a large eye palette and I find it doesn’t have much pigment. Maybe I need to apply with a heavier hand.
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy- this was a helpful comment. I looked on-line and debating between porcelain and fair. I am not porcelain per se, but pretty darned fair. Foundations often oxidize and turn too warm on me. So I think I will try the porcelain. I just hope it’s not too light, but I suppose I can adjust with the bronzer…as long as it doesn’t turn orange. I am just so curious, I have this urge to try it out.
I wish I saw this before I ordered my set because we usually wear the same color of foundation but I ordered porcelain (not a fan of orange-ish foundation). One thing i noticed on me is some hair (wig) colors go better with different makeup looks. I tried Jones Road also.. I do like that foundation... it goes on a little thick but feels weightless on the face after it is applied. Miracle balm... not so much
Kool, been wanting to try Laura Geller and it looks good, very pretty. I don't think it is over the top shimmery. Perhaps put a light layer of your liquid foundation and then the baked foundation to get more coverage. I too have a hard time finding non orange bronzers and contours
Thank you Jill for showing us this look. I think it looks soft and pretty, and gives a glowing, dewy finish. I will definitely try this product. Also, have you tried Seint makeup? I am quite curious what you think of this product. God Bless 🙏🏻❤
I prefer powder foundation, but now in mid-50s, that's hard. Laura Gellar works for me. I have dry skin, so moisturize well, use my concealer as main coverage, then use a dense real techniques powder brush that is fluffier than kabuki to go over skin. It leaves a good, long lasting finish. I even use creme blush on top with a brush. I can't build up foundation too much or use kabuki brush or it looks too heavy. The way I use it, I've had it 6 mos and it barely looks used. I use the newer nyx concealer that's high coverage and thin underneath.
Thanks Jill, so glad you reviewed this, I have been on the fence about ordering, think I will try it though, now that I seen what you did. I am dealing with some of same immune issues, and allergies, it seems as you. Appetite, sniffles all day and fatique. Hope you feel better! I think overall look is fine, eyes great, face, maybe little less blush, yeah, other than that great!🤩😊
I am your age too... I find i get a much nicer finish when I use a velour powder puff and buff in little circles...than using any brand brush. I have tried several brushes but always go back to buffing it on with the puff and it looks natural...definitely light cover though The blush and highlight work well with a brush though of course. Take care...Lindy😊
I LOVE the baked foundation. I’m 54 with very large pores and liquid make up just looks horrible on me. I’ve tried everything. The Laura Geller baked foundation works so well for me and I get so many compliments about how radiant my skin is.
I avoid liquid foundation as I get “polka dot pores”, especially on and around my nose.
Yep...53 1/2 😂 same.
@detsie8 curious if you’re using LG baked regular or the illuminating? Will the regular version still give a radiant finish? Do you use a toner and/or moisturizer underneath? Sorry for all the questions😂
i think you have such beautiful skin!
i like the look on you. a little too much on the nose & if you just buff out the blush or go over it with a touch of the foundation it would be perfect! if you just play with it i think you will get the perfect look.

That brush is adjustable. If you slide it down it’s more firmer.
Jill I love the look, blush can be controlled with a lighter touch, but the color is beautiful. The eyes are my favorite, love the color story!

I think it turned out pretty! I’m thinking of buying the kit! Off topic, you remind me of Trisha Yearwood! 😊
I soon the kabuki brush down so it’s not so fluffy and it works great
I actually think you look gorgeous in that look! I like it on you. I think the glow is pretty.
Hi Jill! I think this look is beautiful! Great video!😊❤
The colors are beautiful.
They really are!
You can adjust the brush by pulling the tube up to make it more compact. You will get a better application.
Hi Jill, I started using Laura Geller baked foundation this year. I haven’t tried the eyeshadow palette. I’m so glad you’re back, I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing ❤️
You are kind! It feels great to be filming on a regular basis again! Thanks so much for watching! ❤
I love the look and you are beautiful as always. Where did you get those beautiful flower pictures? I need one for my living room, they are beautiful!
I think the makeup looks gorgeous on you. I am waiting for mine to come in! I can’t wait!
Have fun!
I just started playing with Laura Geller and she has another retractable brush that’s softer. But I think I’m going to get the brush you used!!
Thx for sharing. Someone mayve already commented but since you didn’t like the kabuki brush LG states pull sleeve up to make it firmer
I think everything looks great on you! Maybe just a lil heavy with blush on the nose, but only in certain light. I love you and your channel! 🤗
You look gorgeous in every makeup girl. ❤
You are very sweet. ❤
I think you look really pretty and LOVE the hair!!
Don’t know how this will turn out but I have to say I ordered it and been using about a week. I love it
I have rosacea, 64 yrs old.
The prescription medication Spironolactone really helped my rosacea.
you can adjust the brush .... foundation is buildable ...
I didn't find it buildable myself, sadly. The brush just wasn't a hit for me. I think I am spoiled with the BK brush line. They are so stinkin soft and so well crafted. ❤
I think your skin looks so radiant.
Hi Jill! I’m so glad to see this because I bought some of this line recently and I’m just not loving it. I bought a large eye palette and I find it doesn’t have much pigment. Maybe I need to apply with a heavier hand.
Love your video, I think you look great! Laura Geller makeup is one of my favorites ,but I do use primer, and concealer…
I prefer to use with a primer. Have to order 2 shades lighter than you think! I like the full coverage matte one. Love the spray setting mist!!❤
Excellent advice! Thank you for sharing! I may try the fuller coverage in porcelain!
@@MusicLover-sb7mo I have read that most people claim the porcelain is too light. They need a middle ground I think. ;)
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy I think you are right - so I will hang tight! btw they have a huge sale right now for those who find good shades!
Could you please tell us what color your lancome concealer is
I wish I saw this before I ordered my set because we usually wear the same color of foundation but I ordered porcelain (not a fan of orange-ish foundation).
I think overall look is fine, eyes great, face, maybe little less blush, yeah, other than that great!🤩😊
I hope you feel better soon too! GUH..so ready to feel better. I am sure if I started eating better remarkably I would. 😬
Use a sponge for more coverage from the LG powder foundation!!!
I like the color of the wig and the layer on the side ❤
Hello! I’m a first time viewer to your channel. The look was lovely. I just recently received my Laura Geller too and have yet to try it.
I feel torn. I've seen not great reviews but then I watch your video and some others and everyone looks great.
Hi. Love the Geller concealer ! Also purchased the eye shadow in 2 separate pallets . Great to see you today ❤
Colors look great on you.
