Mamizou's one of those bizarre as all get out fighters with attacks that are all over the place. A bit tricky to fight as and against, but understand that fighting as Mamizou is all about spacing and keeping opponents where you want them to maximize the insane, but specific, reach of her attacks.

God I love Mamizou's ability to go from goofy old lady to incredibly creepy in an instant! No other touhou chessmaster has quite the same feel. For example Yukari is basically permanently stuck on the creepy side of the spectrum (or rather alien side in her case) And Yuyuko acts incredibly ditsy all the time and never really feels serious about anything. But Mamizou switches between those two extremes at will! On that note what's with Mamizou coming in and corrupting young impressionable teenagers? (at least I assume Kosuzu's a teenager) By the way I don't know much about fighting games but I'm guessing Mamizou is your main judging by the editor's familiarity with her. If not who is your favorite character?
Nah, Mamizou's neat as hell, but definitely not my favorite. I'm not much into fighting games so it's tough to narrow it down. However out of what I've played so far Mokou's _really_ fun to play as.
Honestly, I can't do a combo at all with Mokou, haha~
Actually, Mamizou is helping them. In both stories, (Kosuzu is around 15 by the way) Mamizou is helping them see the real world and/or protecting them from being dumbasses.
In Forbidden Scrollery, she directly steals the scroll from her knowing that it is very dangerous for her. She insists she could "just kill her if she wanted to" but still doesn't, because she cares for her.
Another example is Kokoro, helping her forge her own, unique personality. If you think about it, she's just a mom without realizing it lol

Sumireko is just Remilia 4.
Remilia was bored in EoSD, Suika was bored by the lack of festivals and the short spring in IaMP (and SWR), Tenshi was bored af in Bhava-Agra in SWR, and now Sumireko… "I found something that looked fun, so I tried it out". -_-
She may not have been as pivotal to this incident as she was in Hopeless Masquerade...and she may have funky attacks...but I will always love Mamizou to pieces! Favorite character, bar none, and in this game that's no exception.
She's just so cool, in everything she appears in, just...SO COOL!

Kinda sad that in Mamizou's time, more people were flying in the sky, and as people learn how to fly with plane, people stop giving a shit about something like "self-propulsion"...Guess that's why alot of people fly in Gensokyo?
Also do you have a feeling that Sumireko's ESP is...kinda old school? Pot calling the kettle black moment there, sure, but it's interesting how her ESP theme is of the oldies instead of the Toaru or modern Shounen one, in turn jive with the theme of Touhou really well...And make me wonder, is Sumireko ESP inborn this old fashion, or does she have something innate, then learn the old school technique to herself?
Canon wise Sumireko is self-taught when it comes to her powers so i wouldn't put it past her to have learned by trying out those "old-school" methods.
Yeah, what she tried is more technique than inborn type nowaday...Even power have that "back in the days" moment.

You know your opponent isn't taking you seriously when she get naked and have a bath as she's fighting you
GUMPAAflux cause of the sound it makes, the loud whistle. The nakedness is a bit of a turn off.
I like it because of the shock value on my non-touhou-fan opponents. Actually had to give one of my friends half a minute to settle that incident in his mind.
Now I know some people are confused Nue didn't get this legend, and I say it fits Mamizou better.
Nue actually does use the urban legend of a Bull's Head story in Forbidden Scrollery (with Mamizou's Help) to promote the unknown, but Reimu interfiers and turns it into faith. Nue is fine with this result, as the gods can be seen as an unknown...
The Bull's Head story is weird in that if you hear it you'll be scared to death...

Woah, now reading the translate dialogue, this is one of the most intense fight were you hear Battlefield of Hanazawa , like really Kasen did try to kill Mamizou but it seem thanks to Mamizou being intelligent she safe herself, the other moment were you get intense fight like that is in the final story mode but everything in the final story mode is intense and more the last boss, you can say Sumireko is the one that in the end did have a purpose and a really bad one. Also is a shame that Reimu in the whole game only has one , ONE spellcard , in the extra mode she has three but that is lock in the ps4 version of the game and even then with the extra mode Miko and Byakuren have 6 spellcard and Mokou has 5 , like really Reimu should have more and more difficult one , ypu dont even fight her in Sumireko story mode even if she was part of the plan , also for Psychoexplosion "Phsicokinesis" i know this strategie is kind of simple but it works in all the difficulties taht is to charge the shot with any character and after the psycoexplosion you launch it and cause very good damage and she will be knock back and reapeat .
At first I thought it was weird that Reimu and (Marisa to a lesser degree) have so few spell cards myself. However I realized after thinking about it. After the both their story modes Reimu and Marisa understand what these balls are capable of and want nothing to do with collecting them. In almost every time you fight either of them after the fact, if you lose they say something like "Darn it! I was trying to lose and get rid of this thing...". They only use one spell card when fighting cause they're actually _trying_ to lose.

well that make sense but it feels kinda sad like Marisa has three spellcard , is weird for me that you dont fight Reimu in Sumireko mode when she was part of the plan , well atleast in the extra mode she has good spellcard , really my only complain of this game is the lack of spellcard like in touhou 10.5 , most characters have like 3 or 4 one for ech of vharacters and Reimu,Tenshi , Suika ane Yukari have 5 , and also they have cooldowns making 5 phase and Reimu ,tenshi , Yukari and Suika have 6 phases, and also the characters have more than 3 spellcard , i really enjoy the occult mechanic and spellcard but i would prefer that in 15.5 they are more like the extra mode with really cool spellcards and the barrier mechanic
It's also nice that to an extent, the final boss storyline isn't just having them fight everyone and ending with Reimu at the end of their series, like what happens with every other fighting game... adds more flavor to the contiguous story, that it can actually finally lead to a conclusion for all rather than one.
By the way, "Gachapon of bullshit?" Did something happen to the Editor?
In my Marisa run when I fought Mamizou, when I got to the spell card with the gatchapon balls he described it as "Why is Mamizou throwing a Gatchapon of bullshit"
