Poison never really scared me whilst Infect felt broken for constructed. That I dont think a low toxicity will be that impactful. Limited can be different though. (as a point of reference how to measure poison/toxicity vs Infect is the idea that Phyrexian Champion is good but then imagine if infect was brought back to Standard and how uninspiring Phyrexian Champion would be to play when your opponent deals damage as -1/-1 counters. We shouldn’t be afraid of toxicity until we have played with it for a few months.)
The 4/3 beast with proliferate, trample and toxic and the Phyrexian Carnage Tyrant definitely makes me hopeful for green to at least exist in standard.
@9:17, I assume most things that block Exuberant Fuseling will trade and not result in a chump block. 1 toughness with no protection is a dead 1 toughness creature. Regardless if that is 20/1 Fuseling.
There are so many (oil) counters I feel there will be some Ozolith shenanigans. 10:50 The Obliterator at least has the decency to die. I wonder what the other colors will get though.
I play the Grixis creatureless deck sometimes, and that deck is straight up afraid of a card like Furnace Punisher. In a way, it's like a 3 mana Sheoldred vs those decks. Esper might struggle too. What might stop Punisher from being good is all the 1 and 2 color decks who won't be too bothered by it.
In Standard, Mycosynth Gardens copies any prototyping creature you care about (being a free 5th or 6th virtual copy isnt wrong). I've been enjoying Steel Seraph + anything with power that isnt flying and ideally you have two Steel Seraphs in play to be giving out free lifelink and flying buffs to your evasive aggro list.
ichormoon gauntlet makes Koth better :D and the fuseling works well together with that urabrask sorcery where u can destroy ur own artifact to create goblin tokens maybe?
I think nahiris sacrifice looks pretty terrible especially for limited. Being a sorcery and not being able to go face just kills the card, you'll never be able to get ahead with this unless your saccing a guy that has aura removal on it but you have no control over that. It pretty much by definition never lets you come out ahead cause you need to expend this card as well as a real creature, and if you want to get 2 creatures with this you need to sac one that's presumably as big as those 2 combined so it doesn't really help it's case. I think it's just stone unplayable everywhere.
I can envision a lot of scenarios when you need a removal card and the board gunked up, so you use it to toss a ground creature a flier. Or even in close games to take out two small blockers the opponent left behind so you can push through the win. It's not a superstar by any means, but there are several scenarios where it's not bad. This also doesn't include scenarios where there's a benefit to sacrificing the creature.
Tekuthal feels fun. I don't play much blue at all. But it feels fun. There are some seriously unfun, unfair, cards in this set though. We'll see how that works.
That's the thing. Until we get to play with this stuff in an environment where the other new stuff exists, it's going to be difficult to figure out where the line for fair is. Stuff is all over the place in this set.
Dragonwing Glider feels like the Kaldheim equipments that you could make a creature if you paid the ETB cost. Probably this should be an uncommon than a rare though.

Incubation Sac will fit real nicely into green artifact trigger decks. I imagine it will make the deck list for all of em.

All the cards are insane expect shorter games because everything is lethal.
