Hell yeah. Should try buying a bulk roll of 20% window tint and installing that on the simple builds. And subtract the % amount you paid for the roll. Will probably come out to ~5-10 bucks per window.
100% illegal Unless you check your state Window tints not cheap if you get the good stuff then you need to install it correctly which most people can't ..lol Me I can install tint Just a pain in the ass especially the back window I can did my full car it was a couple hundred dollars just for the tint No cheap stuff it wouldn't last long out here in the desert
@@Pinkielover Legal tint is 35% Here in Texas and I fs wouldn't use cheap shit if it is for practical use and you don't feel like doing it once a year..

@@dropd1039 damn what state do you live in? At least in Jersey it's every 2 years, and the inspection station at the DMV near me does not care at all. I passed with tints a few months ago

I feel the silver centers makes the car look less stock and sticks out rather than my preferred OEM Plus look. Good transformation though👍🏼
A great tip for when painting rims whilst still on the car is to use bags/paper to protect the fenders. Overspray can get everywhere so ofc the best bet is to mask everything but if you don’t have time for that a safe bet would be to mask 1.5-2 meters around your spray area, maybe more if you’re spraying outside with wind
Just get a long piece of cardboard and wrap it up around the fender
For $100 he definitely got more than that out of the look. Nicely done!
The mod that i loved the most was the bucket too hold the hood. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 looks great bro just wanted to say it no hate. Great restoration there.

Great job, I can’t wait to try this on my Lexus
You can remove the little Lexus logos on the center caps. It takes some time but worth it to keep the little chrome logo. Then you can paint the center caps black to match the wheels. After, you can plastic weld/glue them back on. I did this with my SC430.
That way you don’t have those goofy silver caps in the middle. All in the details.
Little simple things here and there make a difference in the ride i love it simple and clean

Love the older GS400 great car naturally aspirated V8 engine and car last forever with good care! A cheap build I want to take on in the future once I get the right garage set up!

Nice work. Only things I could say are totally nitpicky, like leaving the chrome trim around grill chrome. But that doesn’t detract from the quality of the $100 refresh.

Use Maguire’s aluminum polish and use it to buff headlights. Works better than any kit I have seen. 9 dollars multiple sets of headlights looking like new.

@@goodcitizen3910 just fine. Would need to clean wheels very good to not have any oil, grease, or brake dust on wheel, to have a good bond.
Clean, sand, prime, paint. Clear if needed.

It would help if the TH-camr would list what size chrome exhaust tips… Also, the rubber lip that goes under the front bumper? Is that at all AutoZone and are they universal I have a 2010 GS 350 and the previous owner used cheap vinyl tape to cover all of the chrome accents, just want to make it look better. Any ideas?

Just the quick swap of the mufflers changes the sound that much? just curious becuase he didnt show a before and after on the sound, just wanna know how noticeable it really is.
No this has an exhaust leak lol. The tips add a tiny bit of echo which could make the car sound better depending on how much bigger the tips are over stock

That Rust-Oleum paint on rims are only gonna last a few months if that without clear coat.

For the paint you can add clear coat and maybe make it last longer
will last until the first power wash.
I sanded a little and painted my grill with cheap spray and clear but if you don't have good amount of clear coat I will have rock chips under a year. My is over year old and has nothing.
Just do it ones with care so you don't need to worry about it any more.
Key points are
1. sand for good surface
2. Make light spray layers
3. CLEAR COAT IT
Do $100 Walmart transformation! Might be a able to stretch the $100 a bit more. They have the spray paint and headlights kits way cheaper
