I live in Fairbanks. In the area, the bedrock depth varies widely. In Chatanika area, nearby, the area dredged out by the old timers, the bedrock was about 70 feet or so. But all the bedrock in the area is Schist that is folded/twisted up so it can vary widely. Geologicaly, the state is an assemblage of terranes.

Not worth their time. One of their operations would barely take a month to strip and process this land. Not worth the expense of moving in the equipment. That's why there is a place for small scale operators like the ones on Gold Rush. You see the same thing in Texas where you have small private oil wells that produce fifty or sixty barrels of oil a week. Not worth the time for a big oil company, but a nice chunk of change for a small landowner.

That is something that Tony beats taught him when he went up there and looked at the original claim with Tony beets Tony showed him all of the original drilling reports that the first pieces of land that he worked on the gold claim were not that good but Tony said you prove it to me that you can do this and I'll give you better ones and he gave them better ones and better ones and better ones. and if you're going to spend $3 million on a piece of land you want to know about how much gold is there and that's what he looked for. Because he's smart enough to know what's good land and what's Badland and what's been mined already for a kid who's just 20 something year old he's been doing this a long time now he's a pretty smart man
It doesn't take a whole lot of skill to do basic math from the numbers he's presented with. He knew the ground was previously worked, the price is high and after 5 deep lines nowhere near his target he did a few more lines. That seems like a discovery funded fool's errand for some dramatic footage.

Just like Tony going through tailings that have already been ran through one time by the old timers and he got over 600 Oz out of that stuff it's the same thing with that Parker's doing a lot of that land has been worked over up there and it's hard to find virgin property so what you have to do is you have to drill you have to test to see what's in the ground still to see what the old timers didn't get because they just got the stuff on the top they didn't get all the stuff there's a lot of gold up there still it just knowing where to dig and what the technology they have today compared to what they had back then if you're going to spend $3 million on a piece of land and with the hope of getting your money out of it and making a profit then you want to test it first before you ever go up there and start digging you want to test the ground to see what kind of percentage of gold is left over still. The land had gold on it but the problem was the gold was very deep and he was going to have to take off over 40 ft of overburden to get at it been between the cost of that you have to at least be able to recover what you spent and it was going to be more his recovery costs compared to what he was going to make just didn't make good sense but you're not going to know that until you test the land. Face some facts Tony Beets and Parker Schnabel they are definitely not Todd Hoffman who just goes out there with a pan and digs a little bit and says oh this is a good spot. Subsequent sampling confirmed significant gold mineralisation in the gossans at Bhukia, Hinglaj Mata and Dungocha Work since then has been ongoing, with substantial drilling being completed by the GST at Bhukia, Hinglaz Mata and dagocha. This has resulted in the discovery of signigicant mineralistion at Bhukia including east block. East Central Block, Delwara and Timran Mata. The GSI has estimated that significant potential exists for mineralisation in these areas.
