I stack for each of my children’s futures, I stack for my future, I stack for collapse of fiat. I believe in the ‘why’ for my stacking. I set goals each year and stick to plan to achieve said goal. No fatigue when established goals are being worked towards
I am the same. I stack from a prepper point of view. I wouldnt mind becoming a dealer to make more money at it when I'm better off.

Agree with the premise of fatigue. Whenever I watch unboxing videos I hear all the excitement in the youtubers voice and the enthusiasm is infectious. But, they never show you the moment just after when the video is already shot and they're like "Oh well, I guess I'll go set this in the safe and see what else there is to do..." I remarked to my friend, who is a stacker and collector, that I was starting to stack more but that I had no interest in anything collectible, that I was just out for total weight, in mixed sizes. He said, "We'll see." Well he - and you - was right. It gets a tad boring. Buying is fun, owning is boring. Hence, I decided to collect something. Decided to collect the Commander series of coins. Only because I could get in at the beginning, the price wasn't a bank-breaker, I liked the theme, and there'd only be three per year for four years. Seemed like just the thing to keep it interesting. Still stacking but have slowed way down since I hit my "medium term" goal. Only pushing on for those last few ounces of gold, and another few hundred ounces of silver, only because I set a long term goal that I think makes sense. It's like I'm doing it because I said I would, not because it's exciting anymore.

When I first started stacking, when I got my first order from apmex in the mail, I was literally sat and watched for USPS to show up when I saw it was out for delivery lol. I have to be conscious and aware that no matter how excited I get when I open a package, I'm opening it and stacking for the future.

Have you ever considered getting some Pre-33 Gold or semi-numismatic silver. Though that’s not considered stacking, but they are great for flipping and also the pre-33 are exempt from confiscation in case they should ever reinstate the confiscation Act?

I take breaks from buying when spot is up. Sometimes it'll take a few months for a good enough dip, and that's my Q to jump back in. The hardest part for me is to lay off the purchases when spot is up.

Yep that’s the only spot I use for capsules I need to find a direct fit capsule for a 2oz libertad without buying 20 I only need one but I can’t find the singles

@@savagestackeryou can cut that tube down with a razor blade to hold 12 coins and have 1 per month for a year. Sometimes they don’t fit the correct amount either. My silver eagle tube from same company holds 22 coins in an airtight instead of 20

It’s not a bad thing to not be exited . Work it’s not always exited. The fact that it has its appeal it’s a bonus but there is a bigger reason we do this looking at the bigger picture. Sometimes boring it’s good. It gives you the time to strategize and optimize your savings

Different strokes for different folks! I’m a flip it and add to my stack kinda collector and I’ve never lost money on silver or gold! It’s about what keeps the individual engaged!
I fatigue from stacking Silver once I filled a monster box storage became a problem in the New Year I'm going to be a gold 🥇 bug even if it's only fractional.

I agree 100% making your stack work for you is the better play then just locking it up. And I also did that same thing. I was able to sell it at tops and buy back in on big pullbacks in prices adding more ounces to the stack. Or silver I want more in my stack.
Heck yeah nice . Make it work for you play a bit . Some times I just do even trades just to get something different in the stack . Just makes it fun

I feel the same. Btw on the gold you can get a tube that will fit them with airtites. I have all my silver eagles like that. I am getting bored and started buying more premium less available pieces that get me more exited.

I just added some purchases from the past 2-3 months to my main stack because I wanted it out of my house and in a secure location. At the same time I took inventory of what I have stacked. It was extremely motivating to see everything in one location. In 2024 I'm going to be working on stacking 10oz silver bars and 1oz gold. It's so tempting to get into fractional but at the end of the day I'd rather have a full tube of eagles.

I have been suffering from this plus I have been having to lower my monthly stack budget due to raising costs. That being said and since I have been stacking for so long i have started collecti g more. Right now im working on 1 ounce hamilton bars. Less money needed for one and I am loving the series. Its very fun and I feel they qill hold their premium ahould the economy not tank and at least it will be silver if it does tank.
My stack isn’t big enough yet to get fatigued, only been in the game for a yearish, so I’m not quite to 5au/500ag
I’ve def changed my approach though, I used to have a distinct sense that I was running out of time. Now I’m not even close to being done, but I feel like I have a nice cushion should the world get worse.
Routine now is buying small amounts of junk silver every week, and saving up to go to the coin show once a month (can usually find some good deals there).

I seem to have the opposite problem right now. I get excited about deals, especially on items I've been hawking for some time. My biggest hold back is other experiences taking priority atm. When you can't 99% of the time, that 1% is that much more special 😊
Don’t worry mate, most stackers if honest would tell same story, many varied thoughts and feelings to come, maybe just you fatigued at the moment where others are in that initial ‘ honnyman’ period or perhaps even coming back after 10 years ‘ second honeymoon’ so many stages / experiences to come 👍😁

When I get board of the same old silver or silver bumps up more than I'd like, I turn to Marvel and Star Wars... and other cool collectable pieces.
I don't have collector vintage Silver but much of my stack is high premium national Sovereigns. My fatigue point was when I reached a large adult weight in Silver... too much to transport in an emergency. Waiting for the GSR as to chip-up to Gold Sovereigns.

That is the beauty of stacking, you get the rush of making a purchase but all you are doing is converting one form of money (currency) into another so you get the "retail therapy" without being out of pocket any.
I have been stacking since 1994, to keep my interest up, I have been saving and buying tubes of silver coins from different countries, Cook Island, Australia, South Africa, Britian and branching out to finding unique bars like my 5.000 OZS Hoover & Strong for $3.50 over spot and my LCS, I did research and found out 500 were minted and only
I got to admit I'm tired of seeing the silver price so low, it's a precious metal that is more important than the others that are all right about or well over $1,000/oz. Then again it's nice to be able to afford those 10 oz Tudor beast coins as well as the Royal arms coin. The 10 oz British coins have became my favorite, they are stunning

No getting tired as I am a total addict when it comes to PM's as you well know. Like you I am a real fan of old and heavy hand poured silver bars. They just ooze a story it seems. Are you still pouring much anymore ? We never did one of our pieces. Just a KitKat would be fun eh. I'm only 7 months in so I don't have much to stand on but how do people get burned out on saving money?
Because of the premiums. Silver is $23 an ounce, but coins sell for $35-$50 at LCS. Seems like a no brainer.
I , like you have a 5 dollar indian head and a 250 one as well, double eagle an eagle, i want a 10 dollar indian head too. I love the gold buffalo. I dont have one just a silver one. Tge rest are gold maples, bars all 1oz. A buffalo is one i really want but are hard to get for some reason and i refuse to pay a huge premium for one simply because at the end of the day, an oz of gold is a oz of gold unless it is a numismatic gold coin.
Ive been leaning heavier currently in my retirement accounts… the returns are just a lot better

I only get stackers fatigue when premiums go up and TH-cam videos start to get traction on silver going triple digits. lol
Used to stack consistently, but I'm now more of a bargain shopper. Got past the phase of feeling like ounces must be added each week. Feel comfortable with the stack size, so waiting on deals to come available when spot drops keeps me in the game.

Stacked for7 years and finally gave up last year. Everything we were told about how silver would perform in an inflationary environment was, at best, wrong or (at worst) a blatant lie. I agree that there may be some tamping going on but at the end of day most people will be lucky to break even after shipping, premiums, and cost of acquisition. The hard truth is that your not going to get rich off of precious metal...in fact it seems that it doesn't even protect your assets as it CLEARLY does not protect against inflation. I liquidated my stack and do not regret it at all. I like silver and gold but there are MUCH better assets that add/create value. Get out of precious metals as an investment. As a hobby, sure, but silver and gold are not going anywhere.
If measured over short periods of time, you're right--it cannot necessarily be counted on to keep up with inflation. But over long perios of time--decades--it serves that function very well.
But PMs, imo, should not be used to create wealth. Like you said, plenty of other assets will perform that function more efficiently.
