Critical pneumothorax due to bronchoalveolar fistula and management based on physiology

A patient was near death because of critical bronchoalveolar fistula despite having a chest tube and on mechanical ventilation. I applied very simple management and here is the physiology behind it.
The explanation is just my theory and might be still a subject for discussion.
