Awesome. We've just been worrying because I already lived in the US, hence we met, and had a student visa denied previously although my other visas had all been approved. I'm also unemployed right now which makes me a bit nervous as well.
No problem! The one that has to be employed is your fiance. As long as he is above the poverty guideline levels you shouldn't have any issues with the financial part. Either way, it's a good sign that you have gotten some visas approved. But yeah I wouldn't worry too much. If you followed all the instructions correctly you should be fine!

Evidence includes but is not limited to: • travel together (tickets and bookings) • phone calls and messages • money transfers • affidavits for intent to marry • affidavits from family and friends to attest the true nature of your relationship and intent to marry • if you have planned a wedding, receipts for anything like venue or dress/suit, invitations, etc. Other than this, you’d have to submit basic biographic documents such as passport, birth certificate, marriage and divorce certificates, 2 passport-style photos for each (petitioner and beneficiary), and a filing fee to DHS in amount of $535.00.

The US fiance needs to be making an income above the poverty guidelines. Bank statements do help and they might look at them. A specified amount is not required but every case is different so have as much proof as you can.

I have a question, how do you plan the wedding date in advance if you are not even sure of when the packet will be approved ? and if everything completed is going to be done on time for me (the foreign fiance) to get to the sates a few weeks before the wedding? You don't. You wait until you're approved is the best thing you can do. It's not ideal, but if something was to go wrong and you have to cancel all the reservations it requires for your wedding let alone tell all your friends to re-book flights... It just doesn't seem worthwhile to me until you know you've been approved. I've been waiting to book a date for over a year now.

Hi Sheila, I would not recommend the cheat sheet. It would just make the officer doubt about your case. Dont worry, the questions wont be that hard. Just try to remember everything.

After we got the mail from NVC that it was approved and we are good to go for the next step which is the interview in the US Embassy in Manila, my fiance was the one appointing for my schedule interview. I just wait for the interview day and bring all the requirements needed.

Hi there and thank you for the great job. My fiance is preparing my fiance visa with a lawyer simply because on my last trip to the states I was denied the entrance simply because I was being there for a long time just to be with her on an esta. The officer took away my right for an esta forever, I know it was my fault cause I spent about 9 months there in the U.S. but never overstayed living on time before the permission of 3 months each time. So basically I was back and forth just to be with her. But unfortunately the officer did not believe me and sent me back and now I'm depressed and she is depressed, she manage to visit me this summer and hopefully in winter too. My question is do you thing is gonna way harder for us to get? We have tons of pictures together here and there that I hope it will help but I'm afraid it's gonna be a hard case and I try to prepare her for the worst. Because we have friends all over the globe, we want to set a date asap but we're worried that everyone is going to get their plane tickets and hotels rooms paid and we end up not being able to make it on time because of the length of the visa to be approved and for me to complete the interview etc..
You don't. You wait until you're approved is the best thing you can do. It's not ideal, but if something was to go wrong and you have to cancel all the reservations it requires for your wedding let alone tell all your friends to re-book flights... It just doesn't seem worthwhile to me until you know you've been approved. I've been waiting to book a date for over a year now.

And a k2 visa needs to be filed for every child.

I would not recommend the cheat sheet. It would just make the officer doubt about your case. Dont worry, the questions wont be that hard. Just try to remember everything.

After we got the mail from NVC that it was approved and we are good to go for the next step which is the interview in the US Embassy in Manila, my fiance was the one appointing for my schedule interview. I just wait for the interview day and bring all the requirements needed.

We put all the documents in the same packet. We attached a copy of the birth certificate of the US Citizen (front and back).

I see. I brought a copy to the interview of the birth certificate and it was ok. The affidavit of support form was the original one though (with US citizen signature).

When they see you with that package in the airport, they will redirect you to the correct line or person.
Hi there and thank you for the great job. My fiance is preparing my fiance visa with a lawyer simply because on my last trip to the states I was denied the entrance simply because I was being there for a long time just to be with her on an esta. The officer took away my right for an esta forever, I know it was my fault cause I spent about 9 months there in the U.S. but never overstayed living on time before the permission of 3 months each time. So basically I was back and forth just to be with her. But unfortunately the officer did not believe me and sent me back and now I'm depressed and she is depressed, she manage to visit me this summer and hopefully in winter too. My question is do you thing is gonna way harder for us to get? We have tons of pictures together here and there that I hope it will help but I'm afraid it's gonna be a hard case and I try to prepare her for the worst. And one last question if they say no can she just marry me here? It's so hard being apart but on my part my hands are tight and I can't do much, basically I can't do anything. Thank you in advance.
