As someone who lives in Charlotte I will be pissed if they don't take Scoot. I'm actually considering buying season tickets for next year, but the only way that happens is if they take Scoot.

If they sign Miles Bridges back and we can get a back up big and PF maybe even in THIS draft.. Hornets will be the "young team" in the east making playoff runs..

I don't know why POR fans are suggesting bridges. Casuals don't realise BKN doesn't own their picks or swaps trading bridges and effectively losing is not helping them. They have better luck trading dame for a truckload of picks and build around a young core. Or a 3 team with HOU but then you have to get HOU give some or all of those picks and swaps to TOR for the no3. And I doubt HOU will do that when they can pick up amen and utilise their league leading 57m in cap
Scoot Henderson to Portland as a coach match Chauncey Billups is perfect. Dame will be a great vet for Scoot as well. Ppl in Portland should be Pumped.

with melo you forgetting he just rolled his ankle 3 times then finally broke it and had surgery. Melo is going to at times next 1-2 season while his ankle heals/strengthens Melo will need to be rested. Worst case scenario is he continues to have bad ankle injuries and misses lots of time...Scoot will slot right in if that happens...also...they both have the other things the one lacks. Melo prefers 3point,floaters has size...scoot prefers to attack the basket,midrange and is super athletic. If hornets re-sign DSJ for defensive purposes as a 3rd pg they are set at PG going forward. Biggest question for hornets is what do they pay Bridges,PJ..Do they keep oubre...and how can they get off terry/haywards contract.
I really think the Blazers should draft scoot and trade Dame for like one star and one role player and some picks. you would all ready have a decent starting 5 plus some bench with picks, if the team matches you could be a having a championship contender in less than 5 years.Although trading Dame would be a massive dick move unless he wants to go

No protland doesn't have to trade dame, he is more than just a player he mentors and leads the young players. They have no else like that. There is no need to trade him, plus he wants to stay.

If he plays as long as Yao it would be worth it. Yao actually lasted pretty well. His knees wasn't the problem it was his feet. Plus what hurt him was the fact China owned him and he was forced to play there in the off-season so he pretty much played year round non stop
