    Thanks for your video. Mine were fat and straight last year. But during winter they became skinny and droopy. Can you tell me what I did wrong? I inherited from a friend. Thanks

    So if my pups are flat leaves is it getting to low a light to create the tight cyndrical shape?

    I am sorry if I missed it somehow, but do you feed them, and is Cactus Feed any good for them?

    I bought one a few days ago. There’s some foam wrapped around the base. Should I keep it on when I re pot or remove? I was assuming it was there to keep its shape. Also, the very tips look burnt/dead, can I trim those off? I’m a novice

      Hey! I’d remove the foam, I always remove the foam just because it could hold some extra water, which could lead to root rot. And you can totally trim the dead parts off!

    Out of curiosity is it normal for the stem to have a bit of orange? The plant still looks healthy

    I have a plant which is like this, but it is nearly 1 metre high...
    The leaves are very, very similar, being about 1cm wide at the base.
    Are there Fernwood Mikados this size???

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      absolutely! some have been known to reach 2 metre’s fall indoors, outside they can get even taller!

      @@michaeljohnhalse thank you.
      I have only just found out what it is, ( only had it 15 yrs!) Have seen many short fernwood but nothing as tall as mine...
      I thought I had a freak.

      @@mandyhayes5005 more like a marvel! lol. I’d love for mine to be that large. but I’ve had mine for like a year, haha.

      @@michaeljohnhalse I wish I could show you a photo.
      I have split it, in the time I have had it. It doesnt get very bushy,
      Both halves are only in 12 cm pots ( roughly) but they only just fit in the window sill because of their height. Have recently repottted one
      " half" and need to do the other soon.
