That's a great-looking gun and this series was enjoyable to watch. However I would have been interested to see a piece on exactly what it takes to make the basic SA-35 into merely a comfortable, reliable shooter. The market for that is likely much bigger than the market for an elaborately reworked, super-upgraded pistol.

I've watched the entire series and I am very pleased. But I don't recall why the barrel and slide release were changed out. Did the slide release have to be changed with the safety and hammer? I want to keep the original hammer and safety lever on the SA-35, but will replace the extractor. I might replace the sear lever and firing pin spring later. Will the BH extractor work without deburring the channel?

Saw one at a local gun shop. Not impressed with finish and slide was ruff operating. Past buying it. Bought a VP 40.
Springfield apparently had some quality issues at first, which have been fixed, according to other reviews I've seen

These don't shoot 6 o'clock hold 2 to 3 inches low at 50' a few great shooter all gave it a try and low. Rear target sight would be a must.
