    Incredible mpg's for the TurboX considering the average speed spread you were doing. Nice!

      really? I was amazed how bad the average mpg is on the Turbo X, considering his average speed is like 60mph.

      @@AutoAutopsy that's still bad, considering similar type of 4x4s are getting 10+mpg more on hwy, including 4matic drive. I think if GM ever let Saab engineers perfect the Xdrive it would have been a really nice. My buddy got Tesla Model 3 and it actually gets better mileage with the dual engine than with just a single. Electric is the only way to go if you want both power and xwd, and I think Saab was heading that way.

    I can do 800 miles (roughly, we don’t use imperial in sweden) on one tank in my 2001 9-5 2,0t estate with the 4-speed auto box. Lovely car!

      Auto Autopsy yes, around 1200km. I can’t be too wild with the loud pedal of course if i want to maintain that but it gets WAY better gas mileage than i could ever hope for. I have done quite a few small maintenance things and such of course since it has done 287.000km. But i drive roughly 70 miles a day work commute so i’m really happy with it. Super reliable too, i really love it 🤘🏻

    Hey. Just found a TurboX for sale on cars.com. It has 62k miles and all stock. It’s the owners 7th or 9th SAAB but is selling for a big suv. He’s asking 13k. If I had it I would buy it! Oh and I forgot...It’s a MANUAL!! 😍

    Man... sorry for not making it as I was hoping to make it!?!
    I am pretty upset about not making it as I am a local down in Aurora, CO... my 2001 Saab 9-5 Aero was not repaired in time and still waiting on repairs!!!... I regretted to give a neighbor's grandson an opportunity to make some extra money [ paid ] as he is a competent mechanic and skilled in electronics that is been procrastinating to finish the job which is numerous tasks of an R/R transmission, new turbo, A/C condenser, all hoses, and vacuum lines, heater valve by-pass mod, water pump, crankshaft seal, thermostat, pulleys x2, R/R w/ new V-belt splash guard [ hard to find ], and all fluids replacement plus BG products...
    I was not aware of his 'laziness' but he eventually gets the job done as I heard from other neighbors that he does great work but takes his time? I wished I knew that before but I did see some of his jobs he did on the side over the years and watch him grow from a little tike to an adult that loves cars, being a mechanic and wanting his own shop someday? I've learned from another neighbor who is a master mechanic for RTD and he offered him a job and told him in 3 years he could be making $30 to $32 bucks an hour but he turned that down plus free ASE certification paid for from RTD?

    28.5MPG (US) is ~8,25 L/100km, and that's pretty darn good, excellent, I'd say. Knowing TX really lies about consumption ~0.5L/100km, still good as it's under nine in reality.

    I have an 09 Aero with the B284R and automatic trans and at 80 I’m running like 2200-2300 rpm, your manual X is running nearly 3 grand. Wonder why it’s so different?

      automatic transmission has like 3.30 final drive, while manual is 4.05, if I'm not mistaken. Simply completely different set of gears.

    • @NomadJRG
      @NomadJRG 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The turbo-x has shorter gears than other Saabs their 6th gear is like the regular 6 speeds 5th gear. Think this was done to help the acceleration, but it hurts economy and increases noise when cruising at high speeds.

    • @PeterChomanic
      @PeterChomanic 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NomadJRG not true. it's not shorter than other V6 cars, or even 2.0, or even a 95 for that matter.
      Is shorter when compared to diesels, but that has obvious reasons. Same automatic is 3.2 or 3.3 compared to diesel 2.67 for example. But compared to gasoline cars? Nope.

    • @NomadJRG
      @NomadJRG 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PeterChomanic I stand corrected! I must admit the only 6 speed 9-3's I've driven other than the turbo-x have been diesels so that makes sense.
