Floor's performances from Beste Zangers are so incredibly beautiful no matter how many times I watch them. Getting to see just how beautiful, generous and loving Floor is to everyone on the show makes me love her even more! She is the only person in the world that can sing anything and, with her voice, make me feel it so profoundly and deeply! I've always joked that she's not human...but I think it's a fact now!

Ruben Annink was very emotional throughout the series. he didn't try to play the tough guy and hold it in. he is also an amazing singer and songwriter because of that.

I was a kid of divorce and swore I would never do that to my child, well beyond my control, but it happened. I did explain it all to him many times and made him understand it was never anything to do with him or our love for him. Kids always blame themselves. Floor's voice should come with a warning label, because she can make you feel things you have behind many barriers of steel.

I was almost 30 when my parents finally got divorced - and that was at least 10 years too late.
Divorces have many faces, most of them ugly, especially in the younger years of a marriage, but occasionally a divorce is happy, or created of practical reasons.
This story - brilliantly written by Ruben - and in Floor's capable 'hands' in becomes so powerful a story, that it hits everybody hard - no matter what background you have - or the reason to the divorce...
    Great reaction from you 👍

My parents fought all their life untill my dad died when he was 52. Violence and all (both sides)
And every single day growing up I had to chose. And it was a horrid Catch 22 because you were always wrong. And I was the oldest.
Then dad moved to Portugal and mom stayed in the Netherlands & they saw each other a few times a year. And it was lovely (for the first two to three days) and then pandemonium started again. But I've to be fair; those were the best times. Quite fond memories. For a few days they could love each other but they were probably not made for each other.
But we (me and my little sister and little brother) did know they loved us (sometimes we had to translate their love a bit but those times were rare, usually the both of them they had our backs) & it was just not easy for them.
And we all turned out allright.

Good way to start the day...
This show is a pretty remarkable concept. Bring together the best singers in your country for them to sing each others works and favourites.
And in such an intimate setting that you can see they have really become fond and respectful of each other and can talk about difficult times in their lives.
Floor now in a sort of half-gospel style is a rarity, but once again her versatility shows.
Only a week to the release of her album ( though probably 3 weeks before it makes it to me via international post)...

You nailed "zangers" on the last attempt. Single a prounced as in "yacht". 🙂 I once asked my then 20 year old son: "What was my biggest mistake as a parent?" I thought: Let the load of shit come over me. He thought for a while and came up with that I promised him a cake, and came up with a loaf of bread with chocolate sprinkles on it (my mother called that "a spoiling cake"). I said: "Is that all?" "Yes, I was greatly disappointed" he said. I cleared it up by telling him that because of poverty my mother called it a "cake". Apparently I did not do a bad job after all. And this conversation was even after my divorce.

i got divorced when my daughter was 3 years old because my ex beat me up every day ..he said if you don't make me mad i won't hit you . Because my father always said that, I thought for years that it was my fault. Now after years my daughter thanked me for this choice I made then She grew up normal because of it with lots of love. My ex has always had a visitation arrangement but he has broken that too.. he is a narcissist and no matter how hard you try to build a relationship with him, he can't. Now I have been with my new man for 30 years and still in love. Being open to your child all her questions has healed her too We have no hate because we understand that he is like that and that it is his life path as we have our life path

I am thrilled to share my new single, "Invincible," with all of you. Originally written specifically for the Invictus Games, this song holds a very special place in my heart. As someone who has witnessed the effects of PTSD in my close circle, I wanted to create a powerful anthem that brings hope and strength to those who are struggling with this condition. 'Invincible' is a song about resilience, about pushing through difficult times, and about finding the strength to start again. I believe that this message is one that will resonate with many, as PTSD affects 1 in 13 people in their lifetime, and women are twice as likely to develop it as men. I hope that 'Invincible' will remind you that even in the darkest of times, there is always the possibility of coming out stronger. You are not alone, and no matter how difficult the journey may be, there is always hope for healing and self-discovery. My debut album, Paragon, is releasing this March 24, 2023!
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a common mental health condition that affects more than just veterans. The disorder can affect any age group with women being twice as likely to develop PTSD than men. 1 in 13 people will develop PTSD in their lifetime and are 3 to 5 times more likely to have a depressive disorder, higher risk of suicide and 46,4% higher chance of addiction. Worldwide prevalence of PTSD in the general population is around 3,9%. Estimated 354 million adults, globally suffer from PTSD.

Debbie, thank you for your reaction and sharing your story with us, I'm so sorry you had to go through that! My parents were almost the 'odd ones out' in my family, not quite making it to their 50 years before dementia took my dad at 85. Unfortunatly I was the last one of us 3 kids to get divorced, me ex went off with a younger guy and turned my sons against me in various ways, but then I was lucky to meet my true soulmate, we had 12 wonderful years together until I lost her to C-19 almost 3 years ago! Sending you love and hugs from the UK 🫂💕
