To land 20 Demos in a game against Pros that actually train to not get demo'd is a huge sign of great skill and should not be focus of hate. In fact NRG being able to get demo'd so often shows that they were lacking a certain niche part of a skill. It does take a whole crap ton of skill to pull of demos like that, that are still helpful to the play overall. I am gc2 myself and I struggle to get demos like comm has, imagine doing that on the pro scene! Amazing, young and talented player who still has a lot to bring to the table :)
I know these two communities are completely different but in the Smash Bros. community, trash talking is widely accepted and utilized. Trash talking can make people flustered which makes them do more panic options and play more aggressive which can make them lose. What separates the pros is that they can keep cool and collected. Trash talkers spend so much energy being toxic that it actually takes away from their gameplay. If you can stay collected, winning against people who spend their energy trying to be toxic should be an easier task than someone who doesn't trash talk. That's why only a few pros can succeed while trash talking.
The communities may be different, but this still applies here which is why I think it should be accepted, and it makes the match more entertaining if you are the spectator, it can be very frustrating and sometimes unhealthy I think if taken to far (By the players). Cheers!
I think it's immature and poor sportsmanship and just teaches kids playing the game to be even more annoying and toxic. We should draw the line at stuff that would get you carded in a real sport, and that includes yelling at and cussing out the other team.
Comm changed the game for Rocket League with that demo match, it inspired a lot of players. Demos had a ratio of 1-2 per game before this match, now there's an average of 6-7 per match. It's developed the playstyle and altered competitive play... pretty impressive stuff haha

being able to troll in pro should be hard af tho, respect to him 🤣
I know these two communities are completely different but in the Smash Bros. community, trash talking is widely accepted and utilized.
Cheers!
