@@DaveL9170 I have. The only calibers I stock currently are 357/ 38 Special, because Max pressure loads for 357 Magnum from my R92 20" are basically 30-30 with twice the capacity.
Outstanding test, Az. That is some exceptional performance and as usual, .357SIG does not disappoint. Its great to see that you are the only one who is doing YT content and keeping .357SIG in the discussion.
@@nicholasroberts9618 Soon my friend. I know I've said that before but as soon as our season starts back up that's gonna be one of the first.. and maybe with a new barrel length as well..??🤷♂️😁
These are both very impressive performers. Great options. I would go Sig for capacity. There really isn't enough difference to make a difference between the two. I may run these in my full size later the year. Thank you.
Thank you for this video. As a LEO I carried a .357 mag S&W M19 and a Glock M31. Never felt underpowered with either. Have harvested several Whitetail deer with the M19, hoping to harvest one with my Glock M27 with a M33 barrel.
@@tomb6269 Thank you sir and thank you for your service!! Very awesome that u got to carry both calibers on duty. Would be pretty awesome to harvest with the shorty barrel. Please keep me updated, would love to hear the story.
Excellent, thanks! I believe that honey bee is looking to steal your water. I was in the Mojave Desert with one of those canvas water bags. I hung it up to let the water cool, came back an hour later and it was covered with bees. I let them have it!
i might have to convert to the HST in .357M. This bullet has been high energy and mass damage in all the tests I've seen so far. As of now I'm Rem 125 SJHP or hornady CD. The Win 357B (T&D now) is another option in 125. But these HSTs are really getting it done. How is the recoil from the 154 vs the legacy 125s?
Your splitting hair with these two rounds Magnum penetration was a bit better both seem to be close to 10mm type power or just under it a bit above 40SW if using HSTs no disappointments here they both performed very well
What are your thoughts on the 357 Sig 125gr HST getting 50 to 100 fps over advertised velocity. A 125gr HST out of a G31 should get around 1390 to 1400 fps.
@@kennethferguson4283 Ur right. My numbers are usually averaging around the 1400ish area, but I do have a few boxes with a certain lot# that is a lot hotter than normal. Guess I grabbed one of those boxes by mistake. Was pretty suprising how well it kept up on this test. This was a round 1 of 2 or more that I will be testing to see the consistency of the rounds and how they do with different barrel lengths, short and long. So I guess we will see.. Thanks as always for taking the time to check it out!!
The 357 Magnum is more versatile than the 357 Sig? .... Say what? You must be referring to huntung or something, cuz I can actually conceal-carry my 4.25 inch 357 Sig (with) a WML. Likewise, it can stop a human threat, just ast fast as any 357 Magnum round you choose.
@TERMINAL-BALLISTICS at everything...you can use many different bullet profiles and many diffirent bullet weights. You can also conceal a j frame or k frame just as easily if not easier
I'm impressed by the .357 sig. But it seems to me to be a solution looking for a problem. Maybe the reloaders can explain the advantages over .40 (or 10mm). I load .357 mag and .41 mag. Thanks for your video.
It's pretty simple. The advantage over 10mm is the same advantage as 40 S&W: less recoil and can be used in smaller guns. Both 40 and 357 Sig were designed to have similar ballistics to 10mm with reduced recoil, just different ways of going about it. 40 being a shortened 10mm casing, 357 being a lighter projectile with similar muzzle energy. 357 has slightly better penetration and significantly more expansion, but it's also way more expensive. 40 and 357 Sig can fit and cycle in the same magazines too, the only thing that really changes between the two is the barrel.
Unequivocal proof that the 357 Sig in 125gr performs almost exactly like the 357 Magnum. Such an outstanding caliber!
Unless the 357 Magnum is loaded to it's full potential, that is. Off the shelf stuff, though, yeah.
Only in 125gr though
@@vlogfriendsutopiayou should see what .357 Mag does through an 18 inch barrel. Wow!!!

@@robertblumer2578 That would be pretty awesome!!
What makes 357 SIG even more impressive is that out of net 3" of barrel (4" advertised) it achieves the same velocity as the 4" 357 Magnum in 125gr
Glock31c 357sig for life can’t beat it
I say the same thing about the M&P 2.0 in 357 Sig 🙏
@@TERMINAL-BALLISTICS very nice choice
HST's never disappoint. Both did really well. Thanks for the test. Surprising velocity from the Sig 357.
The standard pressure 45acp doesn't do too well. To be fair though, not much does out of a stubby 3.5in barrel in that caliber
This is why I carry the sig
Outstanding, as usual.

357 sig pretty good. 357 magnum usually made for longer barrels not bad.
