    I bought a gram of Osmium once. Holding it in your hand was a surreal experience every time as your brain kept telling you that something that small shouldn't be that heavy, it almost felt as something invisible was tugging on my hand. No idea where it went, though.

    You should include prices for each element. I'm always wondering how much these samples are. It would show how valuable each metal is to the human race.

    • @DedenSuleman-f8k
      @DedenSuleman-f8k ปีที่แล้ว

      That one of how we pricing things, the rare thing is the valueable of the things are, because we doesn't have it anymore but if we have bunch of that if I losing it that....

    • @error.418
      @error.418 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The price is variable depending on how much you're ordering, how pure you want it, what form factor you want it in... it's not a clear-cut question and answer.

It's a little bit of a pain to use since it can easily be absorbed through the skin and the vapors can fix your olfactory receptors in addition to causing a whole slew of other respiratory problems.

      That hammer has a name (Mjölnir), and most of the viking-time Mjölnir amulets found in Scandinavia are made of silver, but some are made of iron (which likely the mythological Thor's "real" hammer were supposed to be made of). You are joking, of course, especially since Osmium wasn't discovered until 1804.

    • @brokenwave6125
      @brokenwave6125 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      max kris Why would you say its just iron when you have no idea what you're talking about?
      Its made of "uru" metal. A fictional metal.
      Not Osmium and definitely not Iron.

    In Sagan's Contact, Osmium was used to make rotating dowels in the transport device.
    He gave no reason for needing Osmium.
    It was very difficult to get the amount needed.
    That's the sort of thing you must expect when you decode instructions hidden extraordinarily deep in the value of pi in base 11, "wonderful persons" (Anton Petrov on YT).

      ? Osmium - The 'DENSEST' Metal On Earth!
      I'm sure you've heard that word a lot more than most - DENSE
      The density of Osmium is 22.6 g/ml against 19.32 g/ml for Gold AND 11.34 g/ml for lead.
      I don't actually know that by heart but instead i used this thing called GOOGLE which you COULD have done yourself before you made your stupid comment!
      A Stupid person can always learn if they try but someone who is LAZY will NEVER learn even if the tools are right in front of their face.
      You're a waste of space

    • @dynastylobster8957
      @dynastylobster8957 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      weight is determined by density
      if you have 1ml of water, and 1ml of mercury, the mercury will weigh more, because it has MORE MASS in the same space . . . and what does that mean? its denser
