Probably carwow is a main reason why everyone here is disappointed. 10yrs ago, this was a special video. In 2020, we‘ve been watching carwow every week and everyone knew it would be the Porsche to win on the quarter mile and the Ferrari on the half mile. Well it's not really a stock 911, rather a stock 911 Turbo S, already quite different from the stock 911 Carrera. The 992 Turbo S still comes in at 200k dollar. But yes, still impressive :)

Its not a joke. Computers are monitoring the exhaust air pressure from which turbo turbine blades retract and move according to the pressure applied to these blades,give boost as per the rpm. It happens in variable geometry turbos.

That tributo is capable of high 9s low 10s but I do agree they are paid they will always pick who pays. Like they always been Chevy ppl. So GT500 takes a c8 in any half mile or 1/4 mile. It actually launched wayyyy better and was sitting next to the c8 in that race. Every race ever the GT500 just runs passed the c8 at the end.

As cars get more HP and electric, I believe the new performance benchmark should be 0-60 -> 0-100 mph and 1/4 -> 1/2 mile. We now have big 4 dr sedans (M5, E63) doing 0-60 in 3 secs; not too long ago 3 secs was the time to 0-30mph.

Its not a joke. Computers are monitoring the exhaust air pressure from which turbo turbine blades retract and move according to the pressure applied to these blades,give boost as per the rpm.
It happens in variable geometry turbos.

That tributo is capable of high 9s low 10s but I do agree they are paid they will always pick who pays. Like they always been Chevy ppl. So GT500 takes a c8 in any half mile or 1/4 mile. It actually launched wayyyy better and was sitting next to the c8 in that race. Every race ever the GT500 just runs passed the c8 at the end.

They did it in the c8 GT500 race to. Sorry but the GT500 was at the rear of the c8 right after launch everyone knows at the end of a 1/4 and half mile the GT500 is gone.-you see Randy pulling right next to him and basically stop hitting the gas. This whole thing makes me sick. Since I was a kid I watched MT pick cars by who pays them the most and all of these races were just fudged

As cars get more HP and electric, I believe the new performance benchmark should be 0-60 -> 0-100 mph and 1/4 -> 1/2 mile. We now have big 4 dr sedans (M5, E63) doing 0-60 in 3 secs; not too long ago 3 secs was the time to 0-30mph.

I think these types of cars are actually better because it’s more realistic. What I didn’t like is that they changed the rules all of a sudden and did a 1/2 mile instead of a 1/4 mile.
