3:09 a bike w a girl on back pulled out gas station in front me doing 60mph. The sob made me slow or hit him. Then he started slowly heading right towards the metal barrier side rd! I saw his kick stand sparking on the left bottom side bide on road! 😂😂😂 he'd pulled out w it down or his girl kicked it by mistake! Yeah, almost all, if not 100% of the blame for that one falls on the biker, not only was he WAY too close, he was in the middle of the lane and not off the the side where the mirror could've seen him.
that's why at intersections you usually stay on either the left or right side of the road so you're visible from the mirrors and if they do reverse then they wouldn't run directly over you yknow
4:28 I think it was the bikers mistake because he was in his blind spot like close to him and what i mostly do is that i keep my bike at the edge, not like behind center but at the edge so that he can see me. It also helps me in moving my bike away quickly if the truck driver forgets that i am behind him.
It was partly his mistake but the guy in the truck just pulling backwards without being able to see if there is a motorbike or maybe a child next time...he fcked up the most!

He was driving forwards om traffic and wasn't thinking that there is a car or motorbike behind him. Seems reckless for me. About the child it, this was at a street corner, exactly where, at least in my part of the world, people tend to cross the streets when walking.
I am not saying he is not in the wrong. I am saying there is no way for him to see. The biker should've stayed to the side. It's like when you see someone taking off when they should wait for you on a crossing. You have the right of way, but you don't go on and crash into them. The same here. The biker can stand there, but it's not difficult to tell it's dangerous, even if you're in a car, much less on a motorbike.

My understanding is you are always searched before being put in the back of a cop car, regardless of the circumstances. So I imagine it was more to do with that then anything.

The back of the car is well insulated, the girl is a child, and the child's clothes do not allow contraband to be hidden. Therefore, all the policewoman did was extra personal diligence in helping this child

I’m not gonna jump to conclusions because I’ve heard several different stories about this exact clip and seen other angles of this clip. I’ve heard one main thing in common with all the different stories is that she ran away after becoming physical with her parents and then stole a bike from someone after, becoming physical with them and was trying to use the bike to run away and trying to hitchhike with anybody that would pick her up and it kind of makes sense because she never rides the bike in the video and she even the guy on the motorcycle can I just go with you, can you just give me a ride she asked can I go with you? Police are not gonna handcuff you and search you and all of that over you pushing a bike across the bridge they load the bike on the back of the car and they’ll escort you across the bridgeor they’ll follow you across the bridge but they’re not gonna do what they did in this video for no reason so I believe there’s a much bigger story going on here, especially since so many people are saying the exact same thing

Certainly with trucks or vans since they have terrible side vision with mirrors and no hind vision at all.

@BenjaminSodos well not always.. I crashed into a ditch on the highway during a snow storm. I wasn't hurt at all. The officer gave me a ride to the gas station at the next exit, where my friends were going to pick me up. He let me sit in the front seat. Never searched or handcuffed me.

She won't be arrested, only detained and then released off the highway with a ticket. If a minor, they will release her at home. Electrical fault, it was short circuiting and sending power to the starter motor when it shouldn't, which is why it eventually started catching fire. Disconnecting the battery was the best thing to do.

She was on the Coronado bridge, like 3 miles of pure highway, it was stupid, she put herself in danger and others, im guessing she did that since she had to have mental issues or had to be on drugs to do that and the officer was checking for contraband

I saw that the truck shifted into reverse, why were you so close to him? Yes motorcycles share the road, and yes other vehicles have to be aware of them. Physics doesn't care that you're riding a motorcycle. Drive it responsibly as well. Motorcycle on fire: Ugh, don't throw water on it. There are electronics which could arc back to you along the water. Plus certain chemicals and burns don't react well with water. Get an appropriately rated fire extinguisher. If you can, remove the source of energy (in this case: disconnect the baattery). The bikers giving the Hyundai driver grief for having a wing / driving between lanes: stop trying to make fun of him and just point out what he was doing wrong.

I think a policewoman is a very bad job.The girl is not to blame for anything, she does not know the way across the bridge, or she just wanted to cross the bridge. The policewoman is not the kindest and not the most conscientious.
The truck driver literally didn't see him... it's something called a "blind spot," bikers should know about it, I'd assume. That's why you always keep your distance and preferably stay in their mirrors so they see you.
The pat down is to verify there are no weapons, our laws are strict, and the police have to follow procedure. She won't be arrested, and if a minor they are just going to take her home, since its illegal to ride the bike, let alone walk it, on the highway.

I'm not sure she was cuffed. it looked like she was just searched. I assume they stopped her because she's not riding the bike but pushing it, no helmet if she's underage, and/or bike could be stolen. We just don't know from this clip, and it's hard to tell if she's cuffed, and it's not just the officer holding her hands/wrist.
The cop didn’t get any calls. He didn’t even understand give them what they want. The guy driving the little car saying I have a corvette. Cracked me up no way did he have one. Add I would have called the cops to make sure she was ok for the gal tripping. Lots of reason for her to act that way besides drugs. But I’m not saying she wasn’t messed up on them. Either way I would have called to make sure she didn’t drive away and kill her self or someone else.

She won't be arrested, only detained and then released off the highway with a ticket. If a minor, they will release her at home. A person walking in a road where the speed limit is over 45 mph is a hazard for them and drivers.

Electrical fault, it was short circuiting and sending power to the starter motor when it shouldn't, which is why it eventually started catching fire.
Disconnecting the battery was the best thing to do.

Yes motorcycles share the road, and yes other vehicles have to be aware of them. Physics doesn't care that you're riding a motorcycle. Drive it responsibly as well.

I'm not sure she was cuffed. it looked like she was just searched. I assume they stopped her because she's not riding the bike but pushing it, no helmet if she's underage, and/or bike could be stolen. We just don't know from this clip, and it's hard to tell if she's cuffed, and it's not just the officer holding her hands/wrist.
