I had the wera with the screw retention. I really liked them at first. The sleeves made them really hard to remove from the holder. Eventually, I pulled the key off the sleeve when trying to remove it from the holder. Also had a ball end snap off inside a screw. The holding function made it very difficult to remove. Pretty disappointed.
Ya I have the wera SAE and metric Allen wrench set and it’s great. I work maintenance so I’ve got 20 sets of Allen wrenches and wera is my go to set. I’ve never had a problem and I have yet to bend one. I’ve been using the set for 2 years.
I have the wera due to the holding function. However the colourful plastic sheeting can at times be too thick if you have holes that exactly fit a wrench.
I really like my Wera wrenches. I picked them over Wiha due to the hex plus design which supposedly engages better, but I also liked the round permanent covers on each wrench. They have made using the wrenches much nicer compared to my old plain Husky wrench set.
The small pieces that comes with the tool like tool holder and accessories are what counts as well. Wiha always has nice tools and nice case and things with the tool. I hate getting a expensive tool and the holder is junk

Wiha has the holding function not the wera ....wera does make one with ball end but thats only metric
Got both. Wera is the best, my wiha the chrome was peeling off in the first 15 min.
