The Metroid II commercial is incorrect, right? It claims that a Metroid survived on Zebes and is now multiplying? I thought Samus was just going to the source of the Metroids, SR388. Either the story of Metroid II got retconned, or the makers of the commercial misinterpreted/made up parts of the story.
The latter. The real story is how you remember it. The commercial got it wrong. It’s not surprising, really. Remember Captain N? Ever wondered why Samus never appeared there? The developers claimed they didn’t know she existed. Yeah....

@Preston I disagree with the Metroid logo. I'm fine with the logo but it should've been released _after_ a new Metroid game. It wouldn't have gotten so much backlash and probably would've gotten some positive feedback and also would've sold more copies.
Metroid Prime’s commercial is so badass, I really hope that Metroid Prime 4 gets the same treatment as well as Metroid Prime 2 & 3 for a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD commercial when it releases on the Switch

Fusion was my first Metroid game. I was hooked to the franchise instantly.
seeing the other m commercial takes me back to when I was hyped, then the disappointment
My complaint with the prime 1 commercial is that the doors to new rooms don’t open in 2 seconds, it’s more like 6 years
WHY DID THE METROID II COMMERCIAL SHOW THE FINAL BOSS?!
Talk about heavy spoilers...
Yes, it's unforgivable...
GameMasterKyro hgg
Touching is good. I can't believe that was the actual slogan.
Yeah....
@@AkaiAzul Ironically enough the fake premise is closer to Dread now.
Only Metroid ad I've ever seen was the one for Other M. First time seeing any of the other ads.
People that accuse Nintendo of only catering to kids are clearly unaware of the existence of this hallowed series as well as Eternal Darkness....freaking playstation *Psycho SOny Crony* gaming noobs.
Yep. Eternal Darkness is a masterpiece. Incredible story, atmosphere and fun gameplay.
Why did you blame it on Sony Fanboys? Pc LoserRace and Xturds also exist.
@@sheikhheisen yeah
@@mariodelrio2387 I am cringing at that comment I wrote 2 years ago.
So awesome that it ends on that sad note and then all this time later the trailer for Metroid Dread is out.
escuse me, you left some trash at the ending, it was supposed to be metroid commercials
xDDDDD
freedomdst TBH Other M is a good game but a bad Metroid Game, and the trailer was pretty good. Federation Force is actually a nice co-op shooter, and it probably would have been more appreciated without the Metroid branding. But yeah, Metroid went downhill after the Prime Trilogy ended. At least now we have 2 new hopes.
@Preston I disagree with the Metroid logo. I'm fine with the logo but it should've been released _after_ a new Metroid game. It wouldn't have gotten so much backlash and probably would've gotten some positive feedback and also would've sold more copies.
Preston Yates nope,bad game overall.
shut up
also i love the false advertising in the second MP:hunters commercial.
5:25 the Star Fox sound?
Doesn't sound like a Star Fox sound to me.
The Star Fox 64 sound
i watched these while watching my parents crt tv on the floor when i was 8
That Metroid Fusion ad was awesome
I love Metroid. I'm really hyped up for prime 4. Like if you are too!
Metroid Prime’s commercial is so badass, I really hope that Metroid Prime 4 gets the same treatment as well as Metroid Prime 2 & 3 for a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD commercial when it releases on the Switch
Do you recommend me Other M?
Want to play a shit game? Play Other M. Want to play the worst Metroid game? Play Other M.
Cedars Other M is a very good game, it has a lovely history
Jonathan Joestar I've never heard "very good game" and "Other M" in one sentence before.
Lol that's a lot of hate
No, it fucking sucks.
Lol, I actually remember seeing the Metroid: Zero Mission commerical as a child during the GBA's life.
TIL that 90% of Metroid commercials were hot garbage. And here I was wondering why it's not in Nintendo's top selling franchises. Maybe use a different marketing company next time?
YES YES YES!!! Finally someone who says it.
Eh, some are a little... cheesy or bad but I dont think its 90% garbo
My favorite one is Metroid Prime 2 Echoes commercial.
7:02 is epic and Metroid 4 is coming!
metroid PRIME 4, not metroid 4
Metroid Prime 4 is coming on Q2 2018
Q2 2018....um...no. You're getting your hopes up for that considering we haven't even had a full trailer or announced dates.
Update, Prime 4 was held back, being redone, or scratched altogether
Other M is underrated
They say Samus is a Master Chef, and she specializes in the art of cooking something until it's nothing but ash. You could say she's.... "done well" as a cook.
dude I remember that metroid prime commercial... I watched it so many times
What a terrible way to end the video
no
Prime commercial was pretty good. Loved how they intersected actual gameplay with the live action part of the commercial. It looked like it could have been in the game. It was pretty good.
Nowadays I can spot the Difference between the game and the live-action parts, but I do like how they to to make them like one
Nintendo can keep Federation Force its an insult to the prime series
TheOfficialDJSuperRaveman honestly it would have been an ok game if they hadn't slapped prime on it.
Braven g yes that I agree with
It's literally the same as your prime series just with coop and more emphasis on FPS
Joseph Ballesteros technically true but Samus isn't playable it's just that we've been waiting years for anew Metroid game since other m and they give us this meh game. Where you don't even play as a Samus we don't want to play as the federation those guys are just supposed to be cannon fodder who move out of the way and let Samus deal with it.
Other M was a decent Game they gave Samus character and the gameplay was neat (besides point to advance segments)
Again Federation is literally just your Prime series but from a different of this galaxy you're Federation troops
As much as I love Metroid and Samus what can they do with it? Fusion sealed their story forever they can't go forward and going backwards we got Other M
Why are these so good? And can we demand a live-action trailer for Metroid Prime 4?
Insert random comment about Federation Force being bad even though many people probably haven't played it.
Insert predictable reply about how I feel about said game based upon cultural programming.
