Solo 2 phase Šimmumah ur-Nokru, Lucent Necromancer

I have spent the last 2 weeks give or take testing, practicing and refining different damage strategies for this boss, but this one seemed the best and most consistent for me. The general idea is to get a 30% debuff on the boss using felwinters helm, dumping merciless while still under the effects of radiant and restoration, then using rain of fire with a tracking surrounded rocket to output enough damage for the 2 phase. I also use shoot to loot to reload my rocket and get extra ammo while my icarus dash is on cooldown.
Huge shoutout to @jiffe for coming up with the finisher strat, even if executing this is WAY more difficult than they make it look in their video: • solo 2 phase simmumah dmg . Also of course I have to give credit to henry for convincing me to use merciless, AGAIN.
Also if you are wondering why I didn't use Briars Contempt like Jiffe did, I welcome you to give it a go yourself, hitting that boss in the head as many times as you need to for a 2 phase is just miserable and very random (the boss literally flinches their head back so you can't hit it).
Do not try this strategy, it is absolutely not worth it. I almost punched my monitor multiple times when trying to push that orange bar knight off the edge to give me a finisher. In case you want to tho here are my loadouts:

Man that's a lot of moving parts to get this to work. Absolutely bananas. I think that looked more complex and hard to execute than a solo Nez TBH.

That was insanely well done. The amount of mental focus to keep everything in order and to make those switches when you do, just from making a point to mountain top ammo into your line of site for DPS, this whole thing was awesome to see.
EDIT: I also learned that the knight doesn't need to be in the highlighted zone to be killed, which will be a tad easier. Lol

This is probably the most in depth and thorough set up I've ever seen in destiny, I didn't think a 2 phase was possible at all let alone on warlock, g fucking g.

Cracked Warlock main. I know a guy who solo flawlessed on Warlock and he didn't even come close to 2 phasing. I myself did it on Titan and took me 7 phases. You doing 5 million health in one DPS phase is impressive.

Awesome run! I have no clue what's even happening but just curious why freeze the revenant knights and push them?
If you push that knight off the edge it will run all the way around oryx to get back to its spawn area, which also means it will run right next to oryx's chest. If I time it correctly, i can start dmg as the knight is running past, and using felwinters helm can apply a 30% debuff to the boss by finishing the knight.

You're insane and if you don't mind me asking what rolls u got on ur rocket launcher and how were you able to reload like that plssss let me know
My builds are all in the description (which includes the rocket roll), but I was using tracking module and surrounded. As for reloading, I was using the exotic leg armour for warlock called "Rain of Fire" which reloads all of your weapons when using icarus dash. Also by activating heat rises I am able to have 2 charges of icarus dash instead of 1, so more reloads :)

You cooked, but I'm surprised you found this strat to be easier than linear. How long did you try with linear?
3-4 days of full attempts, at least 100 damage phases. The main problem is you need to hit about 90% headshots, and this boss will fly from one side of the arena to the other over the course of one burst, so unless you have the best tracking of all time it's just not going to happen. Not to mention what I said in the description about the boss flinching their head back so it is literally impossible to hit. It's very doable with linear but I doubt anyone could do it consistently 2 phases in a row.
i feel like this strat could still give consistent 3 phases if you just ignore the knight and did a finisher on an acolyte or something (though im not sure if an acolyte finisher would reach the boss)

How did you get so many heavy bricks so quickly?
For some reason in this game if you run 2 special weapons you get a bunch of heavy bricks. This is also based on a timer so it can feel very random, eg. sometimes you will get 4 heavy bricks in 1 minute, and other times you won't get a heavy brick for 5+ minutes.
@@BogOnMyDog I've heard the benefits of double special but I've never seen getting 5 bricks within a minute like you got at 1:20
@@rhyshin5662 Yeah it's pretty wild sometimes. I have also farmed ads for 10 minutes without getting a single brick so it's all over the place.
This is a really different game than the one i play, i think.
See the problem w/ this is that what if your Transmog doesn't work when you use the in game Loadout options. Just can't man.......
Probably missing something obvious here but how are you healing when consuming a solar grenade?
The Heat rises aspect lets you do that, it also heals anyone nearby

@@daniellarge9690Yeah, consuming a healing nade gives you cure x2 and (I believe) restoration x1. ToF healing nades give you cure x3, not sure if this is where the resto comes in though.

Anyone know what the point of freezing the knight is?
I freeze the knight so I can push him off the edge, and his AI will mean that he runs past oryx's chest so I can finisher him to apply a debuff to the boss using felwinters helm

If you are referring to merciless, it is an exotic fusion rifle that has a perk that increases its rate of fire the more bolts you hit with it

@@paranoidandroid4817 yeah that is what he was doing but why mountaintop? why does every speedrunner always swap to one of those? why not any other random grenade launcher? doesn’t equipping a 1600 gun make you take far more damage, or are dungeons and raids fixed difficulty?

How is he getting x2 restoration that resets every kill?
phoenix dive while heat rises is active gives restoration x2, and ember of empyrean extends the duration. Also note that ember of solace increases the time extension per kill as well as the initial timer on both restoration and radiant :)

i agree. i completed this with only one loadout on my first try. in one phase on stasis no SSD.
