Very thorough analysis. I seem to care about the features that you do as well. Thank you! As an aside, not to be fresh, you are quite engaging and charming. 😊

U sound a little crazy but the detailed description with extravagant adjetives compensates it. Thank u

Very complete comparison review. A lot of thought went into it and your reviews always cover some part/area of a pen that others leave out.

At this rate, I may have an example of each model Jinhao in existence by the end of 2021. I haven't gotten one that I didn't like. I'm especially fond of the custom work on the "Bobby" nibbed ones. Very similar to a Waverley nib or the type PenBBS does. Smooth, wet, a delight to write with. (I have a Wing Sung that is very similar, as well. And bought from Bobby as well.)
For the price, I have yet to find another company that has impressed me as much. Even the cheapest ones are good (my 991, 992 and 993 "shark.")
I do have a very soft spot for vintage lever fill pens, but for general daily use, I tend to reach for a Jinhao.
I'm not certain that the "gold" plating on a Jinhao nib is anything more than electroplating the thinnest coat possible, and it's only there for the look. That said, I've had an Osmiroid italic set that was 22 karat gold plated, and there's a different feel to the writing of those to a regular steel nib, to me. And I've had a truly awful gold nibbed vintage pen.
I'm also convinced that Jinhao makes a generic stamping for their nibs, and some get the plating, and some don't. So they all say "gold plated."

The X750 in matte black is one of the classiest pens Jinhao makes. I'm quite fond of the cap band, also.

Really enjoyed the video. The loose clip would seriously piss me off. Any chance you could show us how to fix the loose clip? BTW Jinhao etches gold plated inscription on all their nibs even though it's blatantly obvious they're not. Yet despite that, I'm deeply in love with all my Jinhao pens(I have 20 different coloured ones).
