I can't even begin to explain how much of a happy surprise this was. I truly believe Kike was the glue that held the team together in 2020. This is such a huge move to have him back in the dugout regardless of how he performs on the field.

Kiki’s biggest contribution right now is ability to field with solid defensive skills in the outfield and infield. The batting coaching will set him up straight.
A lot of struggling players have joined the Dodgers over the past decade or so and then had their season/career take off. Hopefully that will be the case for Kiké.

He sucks. A whopping .238 batting avg with the Dodgers through 6 years and no better with the Red Sox. The Dodgers tried this move with Joey Gallo last year and he managed to hit .162 with 7 Hrs. This team can't wait to spend money on washed up players.
