As I'm a 42yrs old Elise owner since yesterday, this is one of the most important videos to watch. 👍🏼 I hope I'll hop in and out that easy like you in a few years as well. 😁

Notice that I only rest my hand on the steering wheel for balance. Not to push myself out. Same if you grab the windshield post. Not good. If you turn you body outward, you have to lift both legs 'out' of the car at the same time and if you don't make use of your hands, then it's like doing a "sissy squat" you need really strong legs!

  • @grumblesa10

...That's pretty much how I get out of mine. The key is to raise yourself up and get a cheek on the sill I found. Getting in is like getting into an aircraft, so that wasn't that hard to figure out. Butt, head slide in.

The alarms in these cars are terrible. They will auto lock you in an out of your car if you are not careful. And if you use your hand on the steering column to press 100-200 lbs each time you get out, prepare to pay about $2100 to fix the column in a few years. No car is meant to carry that much weight on the steering column, not good. Avoiding using the wheel altogether will add life to this ride. Turn your body, put both legs out and push off. If you are over 6' tall, wrong car.
