The song is about mother/daughter relationships. She hide her away, in her memories and now having grown older she is more understanding of her mother and is trying to reconcile her past memories with her knew found experiences that have put things in a different perspective.
Tang Wei is the daughter and IU is her memory of her mother, which is at about the age the daughter is in the MV (30ish). Then at the end we she the cycle repeat as Wei is now looking into a car at her daughter.
