Hi Will just had to comment and say thank you for the mega trip down memory lane. As you walked through the church yard at 1.50 the flint stone bungalow was where my grandparents lived until they died in the 70's. I played for hours around the church yard as a kid while visiting them.
Hiii Bill!!! I have to say you are nailing this facing the camera filming more, story time was brilliant. It was the one where Narrow Boat Will met the bees round the mooring pin 😂 I'm glad you did manage to moor up safely before those winds started up. We could see in the trees getting stronger. Hope you are keeping well on your next adventure!
Blimey, Cap’n W! I was cycling along that stretch of the Stort last Thursday 3rd August. Sat on the bench at the leaky lock where you moored, too knackered to go any further.
epic cruising I might just watch you from our project and forget about cruising all together haha only joking, shame there were so many set backs on this journey, lovely vlogging as always and great sense of humour Will
Ahhhh cheers guys. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm stuck at the moment canals closed and my boats broke but apart from that it's all good. 😭😭😭
When the Stort Navigation was being built it was proposed by the corporation of Saffron Walden, farmers and maltsters that the canal was extended to Cambridge. Lord Howard de Walden of Audley End House put the kibosh on it because it would have spoilt the view out his front windows! What a pity it wasn’t built.
Well William think oneself lucky one of those waspy bees didn’t sneak up ya shorts, you would have had a cucumber and a couple of Malooons to worry about, better than a maggot and two split peas I guess
Hahaha when you said Linda and was about to call her Julie! I have had that all my life! I am Julie and my twin sister is Linda! Everyone always gets our names muddled up :) Ok I shall continue watching after that boring bit of information! ha x
Yeah the weather this summer has been a bane, trying to repaint my entire boat and it's a fight against the rain and being in the fenlands it's also the wind. A little tiny view of the painting, well undercoating so far, a bit of a mammoth task on a wide beam had to take the roof back to metal and that is no mean feat on a roof that wide and big. Getting there: th-cam.com/video/eiGPKHhFoxM/w-d-xo.html
I reckon the fastest l ever moved , when we were opening up a corn field and l stuck my hook through a wild bees nest😂Now l know what Mrs Pirate means by lock jism 🤢

Bless you beyond all blessings Keith. This will help towards therapy.😂😂👍 My god getting new batteries that weigh 240kg is a nightmare onto a boat. Have a great day.

No that's interesting because did you notice the boat name after? It was Julie so I wonder if it was pre cognition. 🤔🤔👍
10 Min in the train and you're back in Cambridge, more or less where you came from. How's Mr. Van doing these days?
I know it's crazy. They should link it up save weeks of travelling. I'm going back to my van tomorrow. Cheers

I’d still rather live like you instead of getting up at 02:00 and drive one of the biggest trucks on the road while being filmed by the spy in the cab
