Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I’ve just changed my fuel filter on my 2016 Outback. It’s on 69k and I can see no paperwork to say it’s been done. It was only because I called Subaru dealer here in the U.K. and they quoted me £908 for a full service because my fuel filter and diff oils needed doing that I thought about doing it. Diff oils next 👍
If you change the cvt oil as well you will need to reset some parameters for the gearbox. not sure if it can be done without SSM software from Subaru or a generic diagnostic tool will work.
Great Video…I used for my 2015 Outback. I found a little trick I used to bring the cable from the bottom back up using some string (attached to plug) and soft wire to guide back up with no need to adjust filter housing brackets. Thanks for making this it was a great help
What´s the benefit of changing it ? Does the car response better? More boost ? My Sub hast 144 000 km on it and I thinks it´s still the original filter.

Vwery useful video BUT there seems to be a problem with the sound on this video, it starts then cuts out. Or is this how it is meant to be?
Very very handy even though it's 3 year old
Thanks
Cheers very similar to my old Navara
Bel lavoro Adrian
Thanks Adrian!!
Is it possible to fit a pre filter to forester diesel to try to catch dirty fuel in regional areas?
Great video. How often does the diesel fuel filter need to be replaced? Recommended milage? Thanks
30K - 50K kms depending which country you live.
Diesel can be quite a dirty fuel in some areas, especially in remote/ dusty fuel stations
Our U.K spec handbook says 48k miles or 4 years
Сколько стоит топливный фильтр? Можно ставить заменитель к примеру Knecht-Mahle?

@Vlad A Thanks! 😃 Actually, I changed it only few days ago, and indeed, it runs smoother!
