Four Key Signs To Help You Escape False Prophet

First, let’s clarify-what is a false prophet? In simple terms, a false prophet is someone who claims to speak for God but instead leads people away from His truth. The Bible warns us repeatedly about them, especially as we approach the end times.
Jeremiah 14:14
14 Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.
Jeremiah 23:16
16 This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
Matthew 24:24
24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Here are some characteristics of false prophets:
Self-Centered Messages: They often focus more on material wealth, personal success, and the worship of the self rather than on God’s will.
Contradicting Scripture: They twist the Bible to suit their agenda, cherry-picking verses without considering the context.
Lack of Accountability: False prophets often operate without oversight, rejecting correction and living without accountability.
Performing Signs for Show: While they might perform miracles or signs, these acts often draw attention to themselves rather than to God.
