This is one of my favorite hotels in the world! The lounge staff in particular are amazing. The tablet got annoying after a while, because it won't actually let you control everything in the room. There are some accent lights that turn on/off only with scenes, and the thermostat goes to eco mode automatically when you do all off at night, so you have to then put it back to regular mode if you want the fan to run. The only downside of the bigger rooms and suites vs the lower rooms - the shower head is bigger but lower pressure. A shower in one of those bathrooms with the insane water pressure after ~24 hours of travel is something I really looked forward to every time. (This concludes my mini-review) I had some long stays there, and moved rooms several times. I usually tried to pack my stuff away, but yes, they will move _all_ of your stuff for you. Clothes you leave hanging in the closet or in the drawers will be moved to the new closet. Anything in the bathroom will be moved and set out on a hand towel. They even moved everything I left in the fridge. Once, I got a call from the front desk, saying they had missed something from my previous room, and asked if they could bring to me now. A staff member delivered a envelope with my name on it, and inside was a single 5 yen coin, and a receipt for said 5 yen coin. The Designer Suites and Price Gallery Suite are even more incredible - I got super lucky and was able to spend a few nights in a designer suite and one night in the Prince Gallery suite.
The Designer Suites & Prince Gallery Suite sound amazing. I cannot wait to visit Tokyo again in general, and this hotel again specifically. Great write-up!
Holy schmoly! it's apartment sized! wow, that is so good i am impressed especially with the tablet, room sizes and complimentary items and amenities. Now thats good trust in service to leave your stuff as it was when they moved it. ...this has definitely changed my mind with where to book.
The Ritz is the once in a lifetime hotel that will unforgettably dazzle and wow you. The Prince Gallery Kiocho is the cooler and more modern hotel that you will actually find more approachable, livable, and more likely to return to.
Coolist good to know, hmm since I plan to return eventually I could definitely stay in the ritz the first time as I’m just scouting out Japan for fun but also doubling as checking it as a vacation spot for family and with how spacious the gallery Kiocho is it’d be a great choice when bringing them. This has really been a huge help. 👍
I've kind of developed an obsession with soft close doors. 😆 This was actually my favorite video to make. I'm surprised it hasn't done better. Oh well, maybe it'll pick-up momentum someday.
@@Coolist I See.... Now I’m going to start checking for soft close drawers and items while in the hotel. I’m a Marriott Elite traveler too. This is my first year earning so many points. Hopefully, I can use in 2021 in Europe or someplace cool.
GOD BLESS YOU JAMES. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU AND VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE MY FRIEND. 🙏
One of my favorite videos!

Amazing
Definitely the craziest upgrade process ever! Who gets an upgrade on the last night while having everything in their room secretly moved for them?!

I think the world is going to start opening-up again around spring or summer time. Hopefully you'll be able to put that elite status to good work!
