Sorry to hear about your cat. I'm a cat person too, even though I'm allergic to both cats and dogs. My favorite cats are Scottish Folds, and Exotic Short Haired. They have a really calm demeanor and they get along with other animals. They form a bond with their owners. Really low maintenance cats but they do like attention. Look into getting another cat. They're good company.
