Kids that were born after the year 2000 are adapted to this enshittification of apps, apps environment, corpo mandated anti consumer practices... like literally you buy a digital software and you have no rights whatsoever! You cannot even buy physical disks for your own games! There's none. Only physical copies at console platforms! Not only that, they publish unfinished preorder uncooked bug ridden trash and those kids buy that shit like it's the cure for mortality! WTF?! We used to have more balls back then. It wasn't perfect. We as consumers, globally, got into this nightmare induced late stage capitalism dystopia of learned surrender. Of course more things are fucked than gaming. Sadly. But damn I don't have even the energies to get trapped into unfinished bug ridden nonsense, paying $60 for each title, no physical copies, no ownership, if the company decides to get rid of the digital library to cut costs your game library is over! your saved progress over! On top of that those mfrs spineless CEO sociopaths are pushing society to fight each other and polarized even more (I'm not even gonna get into the whole social media landscape which is like the Armageddon). They push for polemic issues which if your look at it critically is a nothingburger but oh boy things like diversity hirings, or castings, or adding characters and all the LGBTQ stuff puts people on edge from all sides. Not only that, whole industry sectors, oligopolies and conglomerates are reporting all-time records of profits, meanwhile they're firing people like there's no tomorrow. Those conglomerates are also buying real state like hot bread, accumulating apartments, houses and buildings like dragons. Greedy pieces of shit. And bribing politicians to keep pushing anti-zoning laws. This creates gentrification in nice picturesque towns and developing countries, because people are getting tired of the unlivable conditions of their own countries! So yes, we had it better back then. We were lucky for a few moments, now its over. Oh I didn't mention global warming, the mass exctinction event going on (mainly caused by human footprint) and the mass migrations from the tropics and equator of the planet towards the norther and souther hemispheres due to global warming, creating more political polarization, far-right movements gaining more momentum and facism rising again, which eventually means wars, concentrations camps, creating walled cities to mow down immigrants like they're not desperate people but zombies. Needed to get this out of my chest. Sorry.
LSD Dream Emulator is probably one of the greatest games ever imo. The soundtrack is truly something else. Been working on a crazy LS DDream Emu remix album for a few years. Hopefully can be done end of this year.

Yeah, dlc paying not content that was once free is objectively crap but that's only in one particular area of life

The PS1 boot up sound , it really took me back to some good times. My fave game was Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, and what a great game it is, still to this day in 2023.
