Approx 16km/10mile round trip hike in the Bluestacks. Very tiring, hill fitness way down. Crystal clear water in the first stream I fished, deep gorges, waterfalls and sheep. Fishing wasn't great in the small rivers overall but the hill Lough saved the trip. Camping over 560 meters, was clagged out for the most part when pitched. Views out to the Atlantic Ocean and Derryveagh mountains when the mist lifted.
Flies - Hairs Ear Nymph caught in the stream
Brown/Orange Sedge wet fly caught the most fish in the Lough with the bibio catching one trout
great video, really enjoyed watching it mate.
Cheers Bud
As always in Donegal plenty of water - for walking in, drinking and fishing💧💧 Love those streams with crystal clear water far away from the pollution blighting many lowland rivers. Tea is always better than beer when wild camping☕😊 A beautiful morning with the cloud inversion👍 A nice catch in the river and busy in the lough🎣👍
A good overnighter Gerry. Cheers Bud👍
Another banner, thanks B 😁

Hi Brendan, that looked like tough going at times with the wet terrain, but well worth it for the views in the morning, being above the clouds is rather special. The fishing turned out well in the end, they seemed plentiful the lower down you came. Nice video 👍. loving the boots 🥾. Hoka's ??
All the best
Alrty Andrew, the boots are Altras. First time out in them, very comfortable, but don't seem to be very waterproof though. Was fecked tired. ATB B
Which river / lough is this please? Looks incredible
