The clash of personalities between Lizzy and Powell has always been one of my favourite parts of this era. Lizzy taking liberties or trying put one over, versus Powell's dry and caustic nature. It works so well and can be extremely funny. And that photo! 😂
RIP Judith McGrath aka Mrs. Powell/ Po-Face. I am still in shock about hearing the sad news. It brought tears to my eyes hearing Judith has passed away. In my honest opinion, Judith really owned the character of Colleen . I will miss her so much . 70 years of age is still young to die. That's a beautiful tribute you've made to an amazing woman Luca. I got quite choked up myself when I heard the news. If you don't know of the show you may like to look for Judith in an Australian hospital drama from the 90s called "All Saints". In it Judith played an senior Nurse named Vonnie Ryan. The character was very much like Colleen Powell. Judith was highly respected here in Australia as an actor and a person and she will be sorely missed by many. It's honestly touching to know that someone on the other side of the world will miss her too. Thanks for your kind words mate, I found them comforting. ☮

I'm an American .I watched it years ago in the 80s but I was a little young at the time and didn't appreciate it the way I do now.Im not much younger than Judith. I just wanted to thank the person who put up the tribute .it was very well done and very thoughtful. Love the fact that there are people all over the world who love the show.

@@karennicholls8532 funny that's what I said when my brother bought a polaroid camera and we just stood and watched the picture gradually appear. Those days people said the pictures that are from a polaroid will eventually disappear but we have many at home still going strong 40 years later.

It's strange seeing Lou Kelly dropped into these episodes as a silent background character. It's bizarre. Lou is a major player. It's like having Nola McKenzie pop up as a background prisoner and then suddenly coming to life and taking over, lol
If I remember correctly, Lou was also the salesperson in the camera store where Nola knocked off the expensive camera.
@@karennicholls2296 Yes, she was, although I think it was left to our imagination to see her as Lou there. I enjoyed thinking that Nola owned her anyway! "Lou" was also a nurse attending to Lizzy in the early episodes. Very attractive woman, except she seemed ugly as Lou. Amazing how a bad attitude can make someone appear ugly!
I also noted throughout the series, especially early on, that they had some background inmates double as background extras on the outside around the same time! lol

Most who watch Prisoner on here have seen it many times over 40 years, so what you (and I) need to realise is that you will inevitably encounter many worse spoilers than this, containing a lot of details too. Best ignoring the comments, unless you want to also comment. Spoilers to me are those who give specific plot details and storylines away for upcoming episodes. This is hardly such a spoiler. But beware of blatant ones, especially on episodes that end on a cliffhanger!

These episodes in general are awful
Not all but some of the halfway house story's are good. Some of the woman that first go in the halfway house end up in wentworth . So if you where to fast forward the halfway scenes then you wouldn't know why some of women end up In wentworth from the halfway house .

Where would i be without Prisoner. I have a lot of DVDs that i have yet to watch yet this show wins over them every time. I have watched it so many times and still enjoy it as much every time. I just wish they would have kept it running. They did with other soaps , though it did run it's course, it could have been remade soon after. I can just imagine what that would have been like. The Old with new.

It's my favourite TV show at the moment. I've finally got round to watching the entire thing from start to finish. I started on episode one on 21st July 2018 and I've reached 388 on 12th November 2018. I saw a few episodes when it was repeated here in the UK on the then new Channel Five in 1997 but sort of forgot about it until this year.

Powell and Lizzie did have some great chemistry on this show. And the writers knew it. Such a fantastic moment, such a hilarious photo 😂

Sheila Florence went through the Blitz in England, I'd like to hear what happened to her. She had experienced hardship during the D-Day landings. Its getting better with Lucy who is fine when she carries weed, but not when they discover cocaine.
I heard that Sheila Florance had one of her children die in her arms during a bomb raid during the war. She's proper experienced. I saw a photo of her when young somewhere, she was quite attractive too. Not sure how a 65 year old could get so wrinkled like Mick Jagger!

And a family suite so they can have their husbands and children in. Plus the conjugal suite for just husbands again. And they need a dentist and a hairdresser. And a cat or dog to live there for the women to care for. Just like the time Strudel ( Fiona's little dog) was there.

20/4/19 - When the pic is taken. We see the moment the pic is taken, by Meg holding the camera off screen. We can see the flash of the camera and the rolling of the eyes look on Powell's face. Then we get to see the actual Polaroid pic, develop before our eyes. And then Lizzie shows the fully developed pic, to Powell. 😁
When someone falls down stairs like that the first thing you should do is most definitely manipulate that person's neck in a variety of large movements like that. It helps to make sure that any spinal cord damage is permanent

I actually think Ann and Wally look good together. Ann is a pretty woman and Wally is an attractive man, and they both just seem to fit well with each other. Both of them are very caring and gentle.

Mum tis still alive and kicking at 103 IRL. good on her. as for the freak in the show... i had to laugh when she was tearing apart her own house. shes so used to doing it to the prisoners she was ripping all her own stuff apart... ud think shed at least just pull cushions out etc. when the freak first saw lucy at her house she didnt recognise her, now shes getting blackmailed to get her out... easy solution, say shed just recognised who she was and there was a conflict of interest coz her niece was now trying to blackmail her and get her sent to barnhurst

Good to see Lucy get what she deserved. She needed to be taught a lesson and made to understand that Bea runs the place, and not second rate mediocre types like Phyllis Hunt, who would run from her own shadow without any backup! Hopefully Lucy and Maxine will make a successful attempt at escaping, neither would be any loss in all fairness.
