Ugh!!!!! The wind!!! I have had quads fly away when creating garlands!! I’m sure it was quite a scene, me running and chasing after balloons.😂 Wind is the worst!!🥴
The wind is the worst! I always ask my son to run after the balloons ☺️.
Is there a tarp or something you recommend to lay balloons etc. during set up in the case of muddy/wet ground? Thanks!
I use turps from Home Depot
Yes! That's a great idea!
Thank you so much for all of the good tips, Lonielle! To your knowledge, what kind of misters, misting fans or cooling options are there for a home event other than fans? Would ceiling fans bother balloon arches? I’d love some tips on how to keep balloons shiny for an outdoor event. Thank you so much!
Wow my daughter just mentioned to me about the bugs in Nashville. I would be slapping, swapping, and running lol I know me. Thanks for such great tips. Your set- ups always always turns out so Beautifully. I wish the bugs would just stay in their lane and leave me alone. Lol😅
Awww! Thank you! Yes, that's why I love setting up outdoors in the fall, not the summer. The bugs are so crazy during the summer!
Thank you so much for the tips, so helpful. I know last year I had a sip n paint outside and did this beautiful grapevine themed backdrop. My back yard doesn't have a lot of trees for shade. It was 110 degrees so it wouldn't have mattered. A hour later my backdrop was completely destroyed I was devasted. My guest never got to see it, just the remnant. 😭😭😭
Oh man! I'm sorry to hear that. That heat is no joke! It will completely destroy a nice backdrop!
The struggle is for real.m running around after clusters because they keep flying.. your backdrop keeps going all directions... Sometimes clients don't get it even when we advise them the right way to go for an outdoor even😢
The struggle is real! Setting up outdoor events is no joke! I have had to run after my balloons too.
Depending on the stand sometimes I use those big u-shaped garden stakes before I put the weights on just to be extra or tie it to something close or spikes in the ground. I really hate wind because where I live it's so strong everything can blow away, decorations, food, trash, small children, wigs and eyelashes. It's so frustrating.
Yes! That's a good tip! I hate the wind too! Where do you live with wind that strong?? Let me know so I don't come there with my wig on 😉.
@@YesEventDecor Fontana, California. It has literally blown my wig off in a grocery store parking lot and I had to let it go lol, it was either the wig or the shopping cart with my son in it.
Awesome Tips ☺️ Thank U ☺️ God Bless Beautiful 😊
I’m glad this helped! 🤗
Great tips as usual. I try to avoid doing outdoor events. Lol TFS

Hi❤ thank you for always sharing the best advice. Can you create a video about how you approach client inquiries. What are the first steps? How do you share pricing? Do you just direct them to your website? What if there is no website how do we share with our potential clients without just shouting any old quote? I know, I have a lot of questions, but I am starting to gain clientele and I need structure especially since I work a 9 to 5. Thank you ❤
These are great questions! Have you considered signing up my classes? I have one starting next month that will help you! Here's the link - www.yeseventdecor.com/classes/p/starting-your-event-decorating-business.
