    to me, case size is not much of an issue (though i wont wear anything above 42mm)…it’s the lug-to-lug distance makes the differences… my fave is 34-37mm.. vintage King Seikos are awesome….

    Easily my favorite watch content creator. Just no fluff, nothing over the top, nothing too long winded and drawn out. Thanks also for advising on my AP purchase about a year ago!

    Love my 124270. Rolex put so much thought into the design of this model. As you state, 36mm is the classic, gentleman size. Wears fantastic, truly the most discreet of the Rolex sport models. The 19 to 14 taper is very cool a bit vintage and everything allows the watch disappear on the wrist if you need to wear under a cuff. The enhancement to the dial give the watch so much more pop over the previous 36 model. It’s not a watch everyone will appreciate, but those that can will own a very special piece.

    Good selection. I have both a BB36 and a Omega Pre-Bond. I tend to go for the Omega more often than the Tudor tbh. But both wear great. I have tiny 16cm wrists.

    Watching you from the UK. I recently bought a Rolex yacht master 35 mm as I have 7 inch wrist and it fits perfectly. The 40 mm was just too large. The watch has an 18 carat gold bezel and centre links on the bracelet are gold too. It’s a 1999 model but was never worn, it came with original guarantee and bill of sale with the box. It’s my first Rolex and I’m so pleased that I found this rare piece. Have a good day 😊

    With my wrist size, I was never a fan of 41+ mm cases. For years vintage has been my playground, leading me to several 36mm options from the 60s such as a Datejust indeed and some gorgeous Heuer Carreras. The original Carrera is one of the best designs ever created if you ask me.

      thats dope bruh. Im literally wearing a girls version of a watch that is 33mm and it looks stunningly good on my 5.5 inch wrists. Having manlet wrists is kind of OP when you can get access to other options on a watch not available for mens sizes. I.e. this watch has a sick ice blue dial, only available under 36mm, yet fits me like a 36.

    At this day and age, I find Tudor one of the few Swiss watch brands, adequately priced as you are looking through the history of mechanical / automatic watches. Same goes for Seiko / Grand Seiko. Very good value for what you are getting as a heritage.

    We have the same measurement on the wrist and 36 and 34 are my preferred sizes. That's why I like my old Swatches (bought in the 80s). A Black Bay 36 is v. nice. Love me some Omega. Sorry no on the Rolex. They lost my business with their contempt towards the customer. And No thanks on day/date complications.

    • @balesjo
      @balesjo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was surprised to find my wrists are the same size as yours. I realize over the years I was wearing 34mm and 36mm watches, and only recently have I gone larger as I've bought automatics. I like the watch to be in proportion to the wrist size, and 38mm is about the max size that looks good but doesn't look large. I've started limiting my searches in the 36mm-39mm and there are still a tone that I'd love to own!

    I'm 5'11" with a 7.75" wrist. The problem with all of these recommended pieces is that they aren't going to hold value, outside of the DJ and maybe the BB. One service and you're likely to be out half the value. I don't agree at all that someone with a smaller wrist can't wear a 41mm watch with dignity. I could see not wanting a massive dinner plate 46mm -- I won't touch it -- either. The average male wrist isn't large and I see people wearing up to 41mm just fine. As long as you size the bracelet properly, you'll be a stunner.
    I wear a 44mm PAM 8 Day and it looks brilliant. I also wear a 39mm Oyster Perpetual and it looks brilliant, too. I did sell my 37mm JLC Master Control -- it was too small -- and upgraded to the 39mm Master Control.
    Be careful what you buy and get the most modern and mainstream piece you can afford.

    i have literal manlet wrists lol. Smaller than average woman wrist tbh. I'm actually wearing a girls watch recently lmfao but it looks absolutely gorgeous on me. It's a 33mm that wears similar to how a 36mm would be on a normal guy. Its kind of badass because some watch specifications aimed at women have different dial options and what not that aren't available in "mens" sizes. Honestly kind of shocked to see how well i fit a 33mm and it has me wondering what 36mm would look best. My wrists are not even 6 inches. haha

  • @adrianjones4317
    @adrianjones4317 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's not just wrist size (circumference) that is important, it's wrist width as well. You will need a caliper (vernier) gauge to measure this accurately. Once you have this measurement, you will know maximum lug to lug distance for a watch that will sit comfortably on your wrist.

  • @AGC828

    • @Chrono24Official
      @Chrono24Official  ปีที่แล้ว

      7.5 is on the larger side, so lucky for you, you'll have tons of options. Straps typically make a watch wear smaller too, so even easier for you. Check out the vintage Heuers (before the TAG takeover) - classic models that age well and fit any wrist.
