since you where asking about secret room looks at 1:58 the right floor tile has an X on it, they are pretty easy to see if you know where to look for, i think they can only be on floor tiles not the wall so its like 3-5 places to check per room
Even though the random consumables rooms don't give potions or infusions I'm pretty sure they can give you the present item which can give potions or infusions. Just FYI if you ever pick up the permanent infusions or permanent potions perk in the future.
One thing about the meta currency is that, as a viewer, I’m curious about some of the gift things like the Hero’s Broken Sword or whatever it’s called. However, I agree it doesn’t make sense to worry about the straight meta upgrades when you’re already beating it regularly.
I think what also makes the Thief work is the fact that they're not "must-picks". Sometimes, when items or perks are op in these types of games, it kind of develops into "take this or the game is way harder" instead of "take this and the game is easier", which is definitely a good thing
Reto milking the fact that he WON'T take the meta currency is absolutely the funniest thing ever. This is such a well-deserved middle finger to the backseaters. This deliberate "pettiness" is my sense of humor 🤣
Really appreciate the series - i wouldn't last 2 min in any bullet hell (except Heck Deck which I think is on the channel) so it's great to experience the game this way!
For the Sphinx fight, when he does the attack where he shoots out large balls that split into smaller ones (done at 16:48), there is a safe spot if you stand next to the boss and follow right behind the larger balls as they spin around.
I hope your series will atleast reach 20 episodes this game is soo good and (spoiler dont read from now on: looks like theres still some stuff that we didnt see and the dev might add even more content so hell yea and if it will get boring even more restrictions are your best friend.) if the dev would add modding so the workshop this game would go crazy alot of people underate it but it actually makes the game way more enjoyable since people will always create new content maybe you can ask the dev to think about that if he didnt thought about that yet. I’m not sure. Picking one might put you in an inescapable animation that won’t let you move until the cages are dropped on the weapons that weren’t picked.

I agree about the meta currency. Why do I want to upgrade things to make the game easier? In the long term, that just means the game will be less fun. The best way to do any kind of meta progression is just unlocks. The gungeon and isaac way of just getting more things to play with instead of skewing the difficulty in your favor progressively until it's not even fun anymore is just lame. Like if this game was super hard to the point of needing the meta currency upgrades, I still wouldn't say that's a good way to do it, I'd just say make the game a little fairer. And with this game being as easy as it looks, I'd say it especially doesn't need you to get stronger.
there are persons who want to have a easy time too, and the fantasy of being overpower, so the ideal spot would be the game having upgrades that make it easier to casual players, but allow u to desactivate them if u want to be challenge or try speedruning or perfecting it. Also it could have modifiers u can buy to make the game even harder on purpose on diferent ways than just stat checking, like enemies becaming faster, starting with only 1 heart, that there is less items to pick, or that u need more exp to level up ETC

When I play the game I have to kill each boss twice. They resurrect after the first kill and I have to kill them again. wtf. You only had to kill them once. What is going on?
Only reason for you to pick up meta currency is for unlocking the last two characters, but then again you seem to have gotten enough to unlock them up to this point anyway so *shrug*

the game has had updates since it came out, and a full second phase healthbar for bosses was one of the major ones.
Why wouldn't you hoard souls without spending to mess with them later and see how it affects things. More for curiosity sake
